  1. I think that'd be a great idea. As far as I'm aware, and I welcome correction if I've got it wrong, the techniques Lego consider 'illegal' are those that place some sort of stress on the pieces being used. I'm very new to advanced (to me) studded building, in fact the Cobra's my first, but even I know there are building techniques not allowed in LDD that in reality place no stress on any of the pieces being used. Come on Lego, how about giving us a little more freedom.
  2. I'd like to see something that I know in all probability will never happen and that's 'illegal' building techniques being allowed as with LDraw. It'd be a great help to those of us who find mastering LDraw very difficult.
  3. Welcome to Eurobricks and good luck with the contest, I look forward to seeing your entry.
  4. A very warm welcome to Eurobricks. I'm sure you'll find your time here inspirational and informative.
  5. Freeze the hat then put it up to it's brim in hot water for a few minutes. With a bit of 'teasing' the gum should then release. Worked for me.
  6. I'm not good with words at the best of times but with this that doesn't matter, there just are none!
  7. My beautiful 14 month old Grandaughter chuckling to herself while emptying a box of Duplo onto a wooden floor!
  8. Nattly little build. Like everyone else, I applaud your use of pneumatics.
  9. Well done. I love the realism of the Palm trees.
  10. This is one awesome build, with great attention to detail. Be nice to see more pictures.
  11. What a natty little build, I think it's great! I made a stand for my iPad last year and it's way bigger than yours. Would you mind if I used your design?
  12. Very nice little truck. Great idea to have smaller builds trialling.
  13. Best Lego Star Wars purchase. Easy. 7662 MTT complete & boxed for £15 from a local car boot sale.
  14. Yikes! ;-)
  15. I think this is great. Very creative.
  16. Yes, I too think it was a very good deal. As for me introducing my Grandchildren to Lego, you could say it was the other way around. I'd had Lego as a kid but that's where it stayed as, like many of us, life got in the way. It was my Grandson who reintroduced me to Lego at a particularly difficult time in my life and I've not looked back. I'm now up to 53 Technic sets of which around a third I've built. I'm a very slow builder!
  17. After building this a couple of years or so ago I was offered £225 for it and, regrettably, I let it go. Oh how I regretted that decision. Today though I'm pleased to say I've made right that wrong thanks to an extremely nice bloke I met via Bricklink. I've swapped a 8053 (which I had 3 of) and an 8295 (which I was never a big fan of) for a pristine 8275 albeit without a box but that doesn't worry me too much. The sun's shining, I'm 'playing' with Lego with my 3 Grandchildren and I've got an 8275. Today's a very, very good day.
  18. OMG! That's beautiful. It's nearly enough to turn an Aston man towards Ferrari! Nearly.
  19. Love it. Similar to the old Howard Gems.
  20. Very, very impressive. Would like to have a description to read a bit more about it.
  21. Accidental find or otherwise this a nifty little tip to know. I've just made the move to a MacBook Pro but this has made me want to find out if handy features like this can be found with its trackpad/keyboard. Thank you.
