Fair enough, but these are the older UCS sets, since then, they got progressively more expensive, except for the snowspeeder. It's not entirely impossible though that they kept the price of that at bay, so the Falcon can get more expensive again. I think they know how far they can push it, and I bet they will, because for all the people who have been waiting for this set, price will be secondary. The most annoying thing about early VIP release was to me that the Saturn V e.g. was not even announced earlier to VIP-s, and they started selling them on S@H half a day early. Obviously, by the time I got to it on release day, it was already backordered. I know this will be probably available to VIP-s earlier but the S@H site is still a mess, it's sure to break down on release day if the demand will really be that high...

I mean that was already rumored for this year, is it now confirmed for 2018 from a reliable source? -

Boy, this thread is getting out of hand really fast...I can already barely follow, what is this with the Yoda hut again? -

Since the trooper there has not been named officially, we can safely assume that he is Rex. If that makes you feel better :) I always feel a bit of cringe with these, retconning established characters to older chapters of the saga just makes its world ever smaller. -
We're ending up with just that periodically every month or so :) I'm beginning to think the UCS Falcon is the embodiment of the ghost of some Sith Lord, destined to tear this forum apart from the inside I can already see this thread will be locked down for a while after it comes out, then a couple of people will try to open separate threads to vent, those will also be shut down, and the posters blocked, and after a month or so we might be able to have normal conversation again. It's sad really, that everyone thinks their opinion is better, that's why we can't have nice things...

When exactly have you seen a high-profile Lego set ever sell on half price?

OK, that's just insane -
Definitely. It's not like they can screw up so badly that people will turn from them. Making electronic devices is a tad more complicated than selling plastic toys, in Lego, it will always be a question of personal taste, even if 90 percent of people think it's bad, that 10%, who already saved up the money in months will buy it anyway. Heck, if TLG decided to put it up for preorder based on just the one teaser picture we've already seen, it would sell out in minutes. That's how dangerous this fandom is

There was a guy here in the recent purchase thread who posted some crazy hauls as well, but 250 ewok villages.....damn -
Interesting then, that for almost double price (?) they would release a set with no interior and similar size. (If true of course)

The minifigs look really interesting in this BP, although I really hope the Ki-Adi Mundi is provisional...that head is way off, but 2 Jedi minifigs I always welcome. And I only have 1 clone trooper so that wouldn't be too bad either. Wouldn't a clone pilot be unusual? I mean trooper Bp-s usually come with 2 identical figs, don't they? I might be wrong, I didn't buy BPs until recently...but then again, there was the Bounty hunter pack with 4 different figs. Anyways, if they really finally changed the stud-shooters, I would be sooooooo happy -
in the mod's place I would've started a separate "UCS MF rumors and discussion" thread a year or so ago Doesn't matter if it's good, it's gonna be big and expensive ->it will sell like a...well, MF (if you know what I mean :D) I'm really curious now anyway, the chances of me buying it are next to nothing on the rumored price, but still...we've been reading founded and unfounded guesses about it for a long time... btw, I was just interested if these "x-rayed" images are full bs or not, and I could reproduce similar results just with the built-in windows image editor, the details are visible so no question in my mind that this is the Falcon

spot on rendition, really cool
-
Oh boy, here we go again...'member the times when the UCS Falcon was rumored to be about 500$? With each rumor we're going higher and higher, I hope everyone has a kidney to sell guys, by the time it comes out whenever, it'll cost more than building an actual spaceship

With robotic legs he would actually look ok probably. The problem with these buildables is that characters without armor just look so wrong. -

It's so they can get more of your money Honestly, a December wave makes much more sense than the January schedule, everybody throws money at retailers with two hands before the holidays, and shortly after, in January most of the commercial sector is sleeping/getting rid of all the stuff from last year. -
Comic Con Stuttgart, Germany (and my Mos Espa Podrace Layout)

my god....it's beautiful -
Right, thanks, found them. Well, I can see why people are disappointed, but I was not a fan of the first TFA wave either. It's not an outstanding wave, but it's not that bad, I'm really interested in BB-8, not as blocky as I've imagined. The only outrageously uninspired set is that so called escape pod really, I mean taking one part of a ship, changing the canopy and selling it again is just low And you really only get one new minifig with it. What the eff...

If/when it comes, it won't be cheap anywhere mate :) Looks like I missed the picture of the leaked sets, at lest the picture on the usual place is removed, can someone subtly point me to a direction where it's still available?
-
Alright guys, I think it's time to close the page, 372 pages have just been perfectly summarized
-
well, happy birthday then! It surely is now, you're gonna enjoy the hell out of that set. I bought the FO transport speeder BP last weekend on sale in TRU, it cost only 12 CHF. And it made a fine addition to my collection
-
Edit: No need for this
-
hah, that's cool creative repurposing
-
The front landing gear is my favourite idea, haven't seen this before, but it's so effective on this ship. Shame that TLG didn't do this with the stock A-wing
-
Cool idea for using spare parts, it looks like it could be the resistance version of a U-wing role craft for combat and transport purposes. Honestly, I like it better than the resistance troop carrier, even if the general shape itself is nothing spectacular. You did use parts of a U-wing for this right?
