  1. Heh, this is cute. I also just bought the set for the minifigs at a discount price, and rebuilt the crappy speeder to an alternate tank which looked half-passable, but I'm not happy with it taking up precious shelf-space. Might have a go at this.
  2. Awesome, so you just need to combine a high-end set with 2 or 3 others across a decade and you can get a decent Echo base...man, I know it's boring, but this just opened up already forgotten scars about AoH...
  3. At first I saw the news and I'm like: "WOW, THE CC SET WE'VE BEEN WAITING FOR???!!! aND JUST IN TIME FOR MY B-DAY???" but then I saw the pictures and the piece count/price... This is almost as bad as Insult on Hoth to me...
  4. Well, one thing is for sure, this will be one of this years' most controversial sets I never really liked Lego cars, most of them are next to impossible to pull of properly with the given parts - and considering that you actually want to sell big quantities, so the price point has to be somewhat reasonable. When I've heard it's going to be an Aston, I was already sure it would be a no-go for me, wasn't disappointed after the reveal. The gadgets are impressive indeed, but that doesn't save the set for people who want a nice display model.
  5. I don't know if this is a known fact yet, but I've just noticed the new wave up for sale from the 27th of July in a Swiss webshop.
  6. Got the Ach-to training, somewhat discounted, also recently picked up the Jedi and clone trooper and Imperial patrol BP,s quite satisfied with all of them. Also found some leftover A-wing pilot polybags in my local TRU, so snagged one of those as well for good measure.
  7. I never liked this set, but the LED-work is stunning. (Now you just have to learn 2 things: how to post these to Eurobricks, and ALWAYS shoot video in landscape mode )
  8. that's an interesting idea, I'll have a go at it, see how it looks. Only problem is they are black..
  9. OMFG, that is shocking to realize But yes, I am also of the prequel genearation, and in the past years I've bought on average 1 UCS set and 5-10 higher value sets, so I don't think that's a valid reason. But we're getting very off topic...
  10. I don't have many BPs but I also modded these abominations on the Imperial and the Bounty hunter BP, actually, the Bounty hunter weapons are even better looking this way than normal LEGO blasters. Some of mine are also pretty similar to yours, the one that you have 2 of.
  11. lol, jawas just got a whole lot more badass Not a fan of these little walkers, but considering the source set, it's pretty cool
  12. I don't think there's such thing as too many Executor MOC-s :D This is also gorgeous, amazing work!
  13. I do like the Y-wing and if I can get some place to put it, it's definitely a buy for me, but the thing I love the most about the set is the packaging. Namely how it confuses conspiracy theorists, who are still convinced that the next UCS set is always hinted on the box of the current one.
  14. Not exactly up to date, but my latest is the UCS TIE for Christmas.
  15. oh, no, I'm so sorry, it was my mistake, I didn't realize I'm in this topic....
  16. Good one, I plan to buy the new set as an expansion to my existing Cantina, but only on clearance, it's crazy expensive here for what it offers... (BTW those loosely connected bricks on the top are killing my OCD )
  17. I LOLd so hard over this But to stay on target: holy sith, this is amazing. Not a big fan of this Rebels-shenanigan but this model is very impressive.
  18. Maybe I missed a beat, but I just saw on Brickset a 2018 set listed as 75214: Anakin's Jedi Starfighter? Do we know something substantial about that?
  19. Haven't even thought about this, but yes, it seems this is the new snowspeeder...to be fair, lego recreated it as best as they could, but this is just a weird design. Besides, I don't know what everyone in that galaxy has against wheels
  20. "him"??? A freudian slip maybe? As for the MOC it's nice, really effective in a pretty small scale. I particularly like the impact effect on the ground. The film itself is surely divisive, I still haven't made up my mind about it, needs a couple more viewings to really sink in. One thing is definite though, there were many shots worthy of paintings. Without being spoilery, that particular star destroyer scene....OMG (I'm sure who has seen it knows which one)
  21. Pretty sure it's considered as a spoiler...not a major one but still... I think the dreadnought is a pretty dull design, but should be easy to recreate in LEGO. Canto bight is similar to the Cantina in that the chances of an official set doing the original any justice are next to nothing, but I'd bet it will be released at some point.
  22. This. Is. AWESOME! Great Mod, and amazing control options, and on top of that, you made it available for free ?! You da real MVP!
  23. lol, it was totally worth it :) But looking at these figs what I realized is that we really need updated minifigs about these 2 guys..
