What don't you like about it? I think over all it has some great points - loving the front bumper area. The oddest part is both of them stuck in the same canopy... And that tail fin at the end looks a bit odd relative to the rest, but I think you should keep going, it's looking great! Looking great! I love the the greebleness you were able to incorporate. And those wedges near the head is fantastic! Though that one wedge plate seems a bit ... barren, relative to the rest of the build - maybe add a bit more detailing there? But I think you're right, you're pretty much ready to go Looks good, I love seeing the progression of WIP builds though this should probably be in town forum

The Tycho fault line runs for 26k kilometres along the surface of New Odin like a giant scar. This tectonic fault line is New Odin’s most seismically active region, with almost daily quakes averaging 5.76 on the adjusted Richter Scale. Straddling the either sides the Tycho are the twin colonies: Minerva and Athena. Due to the off axis spin of New Odin, these two colonies are strategically placed – Minerva the closest point towards the sun and Athena on the equator. The Tycho Suspended bridge (TSB) connects Minerva and Athena allowing people and materials to move between cities quickly without the use of the low orbit transports. The TSB was the colonist’s solution to establishing a secure link between colonies during seismic events. Using Magnetic Levitation principals the Eddy Current generators create a strong enough magnetic field to suspend the entire bridge even during a tectonic shift. The Hensel V Magnetic Levitation train (HVML) is the transportation work horse of New Odin. The fifth iteration of the cross colony locomotive, the HVML uses the same MagLev technology applied laterally to levitate the train and glide it between destinations. The HVML is equipped with heavy shield against radiation with the majority of passengers and cargo safely stowed in the interior. Radiation insensitive or dangerous materials will be stored. -- Yes. It's a floating bridge AND floating train supported by LEGO Magnets. Yes. It did happen. -- Also counts for No Grativy category on MOCAthalon

I'm surprised TLG would be interested after Lisa went to the Blocko store

A Klingon warrior is never far from his two most treasured items. his D'k tahg dagger and his Goblet of Klingon Bloodwine. At close quarter weapon with lethal efficiency, in the hands of a true warrior. And after the battle, the warrior shall celebrate his fallen opponent and drink to their honourable death. (This is both my Iron Builder and MOCAthalon entry)

While the Rover's utilitarian origins stem from man's exploration of distance worlds. Man's need for excessive speed transcends all else and can be found on even the far distance worlds. The Rapid Racing Rover is Orion Corporation's luxury Rover, combining speed, style and engineering all for your off world off roading pleasure.

Good advice!

Awww yeah! IP2002! Still one of the best colour schemes out there Love'n the rover

Some really cool shaping.... and it lights up? I want to seeeee! Great idea using the technic beams as windows :P

I can't really decide if I'm intrigued or grossed out by this Regardless it's interesting and cool. Definitely two ideas I never though would play well together, but you did it great! Do you normally do a lot of LDD before building? I quite like watching your builds, and always so interesting and unique... is it cause you do it in LDD first?

Nice rover ! I love how equiped it is. It actually looks like it can go out and do some serious exploring! The icecream effect is really awesome for the drilling bit there, never seen it used quite like that! I'm curious do those treads actually function? (sorry for delayed post - been busy last few weeks)

Turned out great! I didn't really think it would work out based on your original picture, but nicely done! Though next time you might want to try to take a shot from a lower angle... that way you can make the dinosaur feel really big! That arch is also really cool .... but the rest of the tower seems bland? which makes your arch feel out of place - know what i'm saying? You should try to balance it out... maybe have some interesting textures on the ramparts to offset it a bit? Great start! You really were able to express the fear of getting oozed So far the walls look good, the equipment is clean and sharp.... biggest suggestion is do something about that floor! Grills, tiles, anything but plain studs!

Thanks for the feedback all! I kept track and I did I'll defininitely have to think up even better categories / themes for next time! Poll fixed. Several people 'commented' on the voting and such, that's why I wanted to make sure everyone had a forum to express them concerns. And I tend to agree that there needs to be something better put in place ... I think the usual voting works okay for ~30 entries, but I think 97 was a bit unprecedented and frankly I did not anticipate it correctly. I would think in future maybe a 20% total/point ratio might be good... Yeah that was poor scheduling on our part. We shouldn't have Sci-Fi and SW contests at the same time. It's not the exact same set of builders, but there is some overlap... Well it's funny that you say that, that's why there's were two categories to try to spread out the entries... not that it really helped But it is on my action list to try to come up with a better voting scheme for 50+ entries. Thanks :) Interesting thought about subforum... prior to this month I would told you that you're crazy... but with 162 entries a subforum might have been nice Thanks! ...who said Sci-Fi month has to end? Just keep building Sci-Fi and have your own month! Even Sci-Fi Fabuland!

First all, apologies to all the amazing Winners for the delay on shipping out the prizes, it took me 3 nights, 2.5 rolls of tape and 2 trips to the hardware store, but all prizes are packed and will be shipped out tomorrow. With that, I'd like to ask for a bit of feedback to everyone ... To make future contests even better: What did you like? What didn't you like? What could I have done better? If you didn't enter, what could I have done to make you more interested? What do you like better? Trophies or Prizes? or both? What other comments do you have for Sci-Fi month ? Thanks! Simon

I'm really impressed with how you were able to draw such straight lines on your sails... Oh and the build is pretty awesome too

The legs are absolutely stunning. But I love the photography, the reflection off the dome capturing your windows just makes me all sorts of happy Well done!

I saw the first picture and was like, I'm SURE I saw this before, but it was different'.... and wasn't there a ship!?!? ... then I saw the last picture - I'm glad i' not going crazy Thank you for the details, I remember loving the awesome shape of the ship, but I didn't look too close at the background, but I'm glad I did now! The details are fantastic! The building, the shutters are awesome, and the waterbarrel ... Though I don't think I approve of your use of Batman
-
Ah I thought I commented on this! This is so awesome... I love how you are kept up with the details even though you were building such a large structure! The brightly lit highlights are a nice touch. I would really love to see this at a convention (BFVA? ) with a full blown mining layout
-
That ground work is awesome! Love the debris and the little guys popping out!
-
This is pretty cool... but it's a bit hard to see... I get the whole "atmospheric" image... but the builder in me wants to see more of the build!~

Really cool, The base is still cool (even if it does look a bit like a car ) And welcome to EB (and flipping this over to SW forum for you).

I really like your interesting take on starfighters, and this one meets that criteria too! The foldable wings are really nice and it's got a really tough fighter feel to it... Though you really need to dust your LEGO
-
That little LEGO brick in there makes me so happy Really cool creation, I love the funky smooth "ferrari" curves you have going then just suddenly plop a "jetson" bubble ontop. I wouldn't think that would work, but you pulled it off really nicely! Very awesome build
