  1. Hahah ... this was totally the best answer
  2. What's a proper AFOL? But yeah I agree the engines are nicely done! and the over all feel is nice - but what piece isn't available in the above colours? It'd be cool to see these built some day - maybe with a different colour scheme?
  3. I know it's a gun ship, but the colour reminds me of that hospital chopper set LEGO came out with from a few years ago  But visually I prefer it over the blue - the sticker just clashes a bit too much (not there's much you can do since you used the ADU set)
  4. More Dome City Coverage!
  5. Okay... that's is COOL. Almost decal overload, but you pulled it off.Great use of the elastics and details underneith, I really liked the stacked 1x2 plates with 2 prong thingies you hid under the cycle. BTW what do you use to do your photoediting? the presentation in the main shot is fantastic!
  6. I like the large hub you put on it, but you can't see it in the main picture as well - I like this shot better: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ivanmunroerocks/9126140877/in/photostream/ I also like how you have that red strip down the middle and the brown highlights on the hub - and I'm always a fan of backstories
  7. I knew they looked familiar some how, there was something about then, then bamo - 40k haha! You almost had me fooled  While I know the wings are stickered from the chopper set, I don't think they really work here... Maybe throw some light blue in there to offset the wings colours slightly?
  8. Heh, nice. It's such a clean build and has some really cool retro scifi feel to it I love that front section for some reason... and the shaping where classic 'wheels' are.

    Hawks win!

    This. That.
  10. While the little zoids are awesome, I have to point out that I LOVE that Zoid's sign...
  11. Operation Oscar - Phase 1: FrogPOD assembly Operation Oscar: Phase 1 - FrogPod assembly by Si-MOCs, on Flickr Frogs! The mission is ahead of you, you have trained long and hard for this. Phase One is complete. The FrogPod factories have built our attack wings.. You are task to invade all the different worlds at BW. Time is short, Operation Oscar launches June 16th. So climb in your FrogPod DropFighters and take off! Goodluck. ATTENTION! RIBBIT! -- I was honoured by being named Brickworld Master last year and following in the footsteps of Arthur Gugick (who gave out scorpions last year for no apparent reason), I decided to do something to mark that occasion and pay tribute to some of the builders I look up to whose work has inspired me. I tried to combine a few of their iconic looks/builds into a single silly simon build. :) I'll leave it up to you, intrepid reader, to try to figure what I stole from whom. Operation Oscar: Phase 1 - FrogPod assembly by Si-MOCs, on Flickr Operation Oscar: Phase 1 - FrogPod assembly by Si-MOCs, on Flickr Operation Oscar: Phase 2 - FrogPOD Fleet Maneuvers Operation Oscar: Phase 2 - FrogPod Fleet maneuvers by Si-MOCs, on Flickr Frogs! Fly forth and invade all the different worlds at BrickWorld. Their worlds are weak and undefended, nothing can stand in our way, not even Doc Hopper. INVADE! RIBBIT! Operation Oscar: Phase 3 - FrogPOD Invasion! Operation Oscar: Phase 2 - FrogPod Fleet maneuvers by Si-MOCs, on Flickr INVADE! ATTACK! -- I didn't actually get a lot of pictures of where the FrogPods ended up, I did notice some people took them off displays (which I was then afraid I forgot to give them one) and some moved them to better placements, I thought this one in particular was awesome. originally it was hiding in the big Serenity, but this is a better scale :P -- And yes I have more... I'll be throwing them in contests for years So only way to get one now is to place in a EB contest I help run.
  12. ... wait you can build the sets? I just take out the good parts for mocs
  13. Totally awesome Rook! You totally anchored ToroLUG's display - fantastic job ! And congrats on winning MEGA build with Serenity!
  14. Very awesome job EB and everyone else that displayed - it never ceases to amaze me the craziness that people think up of... The motorization of the EB layout in particular was really well done, especially the chaining of a single motor! Can't wait/already planning for next year!
  15. spits food onto the ruby slippers - apparently I spat food on the ruby slippers? I don't even remember eating
  16. Yeah classic space and space exploration would be great to see come back... but I think we have to also realize it's a slightly different climate back then when CS was first introduced. It was an era of space exploration, where rockets and spaceships are sexy, today we're mothballing the fleet... And don't even get me started on current day wars So I think the current the conflict themes are here to stay. That being said, I still thought Alien Conquest was fantastic run, and Galaxy Squad is pretty nifty too. So some sci-fi space is better than none
  17. There seems to be a disproportionate amount of LEGO bags infront of Rufus/Pandora and Cecilie... Just saying very jealous of you guys. Looks like great fun.
  18. Interesting story... Though I was always a Chaos guy.... I think the whole MOC telling story is cool, but some of your pictures are a bit out of focus. I know you're trying to do the cool dark light trick, but sometimes it's simpler (and sharper!) to take a regular picture and change the brightness/contrast in photoshop.... Look forward to your next chapter!
  19. I've missed your builds man, always a great infusion of retro, scifi, and awesome
  20. Holy crap! That's awesome! You've really managed to achieve a very realistic shark look, I think after this you can call yourself an experienced LEGO builder Also I love the concept! Haha and I thought the shark was big - awesome base - I love how you have different levels and the rock outcroppings.... This makes me want to do a Moonbase
  21. Welcome Greyson! You are free to run... and that goes for anyone - you can run as your main character for Lord RoK, or create a new one, but remember to properly 'gain our support' before voting - so make sure you run a good campaign/race/whatever.
  22. Exactly. Speaking of which... ...stupid genius ...Given by lord Hinckley for building a working maglev train/bridge with LEGO magnets.
  23. Have you considered that he meant: Si and ISC love each other - and it has nothing to do with you
  24. So, how shall we best find a Lord Regent of Kaliphlin (LRoK)? While I could simply appoint someone to rule, I feel it is more of the Kaliplin way for suitors to win over the the hearts (and purses) of the great Merchants and Lords of Siccus badlands. And a great assembly of Kaliphlin should be be convened so that we shall vote on the first LRoK ? -- Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Working directly with Dex/others to ensure smooth operation of governing of the Guild affairs. Potentially participation in future planning of possible hypothetical event(s) and challenge(s) Tying Dex's shoes.
  25. Well in a nut shell - it's all of your faults - if the guild wasn't so good and fell apart at the slightest disappearance of leadership, I couldn't have stepped back... But for those that are truly interested:Don't forget I was just a citizen when GoH started, and had plenty of time to devote... since then I've been demoted to Regulator and further into a Mod, and am the only one over inSci-Fi forum.. And there were a few life changing events that took up considerable GOH time... First GoH itself, there is a lot insider stuff that does happen and that takes a bit of time, but we have some great people that slowly plow through it.. I was also cursed to compete in Iron Builder twice - which effectively occupied every waking moment for 4 months - from pre-sort to actual build month... then there was the "little" EB sci-fi month that blew up in my face that ate up another 2 months. ... and there's real life stuff to... my current position requires frequent travel... IRONICALLY this all meant that I really did not devote as much time into GoH as I had originally envisioned - I never even got to build my sand castle. But now that things are wrapping up, I actually have time to actually partake, after the fact. Sad I know. But I truly sorry I have disappointed so many - I really wanted to take the journey with you all side by side, and not on the sidelines... So after Brickworld (why did I promise so many people so many things?) - I should have a bit more free time to start building stuff.... -- That being said if someone would want to be vice leader, or want to vote for a new leader to work with the 'insiders' I would be open to that
