Whoa slow down everyone... I never said challenge 4 would be the end. I just said when we got to the end. That could be challenge 4 or 5 or 6 or 99! Note I never said that challenge 3 wasn't the end. Who knows*? *some people may know -- Yes let's watch what happens to our friends east and west of us... But I agree with Tower Master, we should prepare ourselves... These tidings of battling could spread. We must be ready. Let us not forget out towers which we had built to watch over our lands in times of strife. And my dwarven bones feels something is amiss... -

Brother's and sisters! I hear there is some scuffling with some of our neighbours to the east and the west... At this time I do not feel we need to raise our banners and go off to war. It is a regional dispute that does not involve us at the moment. I rather wait for other challenges. Agreed, my wolf pack was my second? Tag and I'm quite attached to it now "End" may be the wrong word... GoH will continue indefinitely. But the challenges will cease after we have completed this chapter of the story (as will the prizes and such). Though there's nothing to be said about writing a whole new chapter with new challenges and new and interesting plots! And the shields are to reward outstanding achievement in the forums (Shields for Historical forum for instance). There's a thread that mentions what tags are for. -

Hahah. Now that's what I call a battle scene! Some great photography and camera angles. It really shows off your excellent fig combos and the MOC. Really enjoyable story/build. And the slime looks fannnnnntastic! -
Was anyone else 'whispering' all of Sir Whisper's dialog? Lovely build. The gate work is spectacular! Even though you didn't really use the external areas, the snow/path was really nicely done. I like your attention to detail! And the dragon was awesome And the tree!

Nariek Francis Nice little mini build - Very interesting use of the legs... I'll have to try that sometime... Belle Mort? Pretty Death? The pallette was likely (obviously) given for map making... but technically that's not a historic tag for historical forum to give out Lord DaMaximus I hope your studies go well... and it's summer now right? BUILD TIME? I never got to choose my sheild BUT ... I'm sure that anyone that sticks around till the end of GoH will recieve something special... -
Great work Jake. The teeth and the colour blocking is absolutely fantastic. As always the shaping is fantastic. My other suggestion would be maybe swap out those wedge plates for bley on the nose ... just to carry on the bley colour scheme a bit more. Are you going to build a rocket?
-
Awesome. Love the unique look - great way to stand out The shaping is great - very swooshable! Though I'm not overly digging the red colour.... it seems slightly out of place - maybe swap it out for tan or black?
-
Cool! I like the beefiness of the whole ship. And the little Assault buggy! Though what does the big II mean? And what's the big room for? Seems to be prisons? but what else goes in there? So much unused and potentially fun space!
-
Cool figs! And great idea with making it modular... Will you share with us pictures of the entire display? I agree with K-nut - some additional landscaping would be nice. Though that lava pit is pretty cool!

Opps! Belated birthday BC! I'll bring some ale for yee at the olde brickworlde!

Thanks again everyone for all the great comments Actually there are/were motorized turbo lasers... but it was built by another member and we took it apart after the event - so I couldn't do a proper photoshoot That's what the two boxes in the top corners were for ! SIX meters? Wow that's awesome! I almost died putting together 3 XL baseplates! Do you have pictures of yours? I'd love to compare and see what I missed/could improve upon!
-
WOW... :pir-wub: I came here looking for a little pirate ship inspiration and am blown away. Bonus points for making a real ship! wowza! It's so realistic and true to form! Really great build!

Wow thanks for all the great comments everyone! And a FP! Thanks for the blog! As for the greebling - I have to give a shout out to ToroLUG - we actually had lengthy discussions on 'how greebled' it should have been - and this was the recommended amount of tiling and greebling Hehe, yeah. It was a combination of self promotion and laziness, that's 77x20 studs I didn't have to fill Yeah this will be at Brickfete - though I might change up the name plate... you'll see You should get blogged more often! your ships are crazy! SI doesn't stand for anything, Si is a common nickname, and if you take the whole thing: Si-MOC - just rotate the C 90 CW and you get Simon - my first name. :P So it's either: my name poorly obscured or it's Si(mon's) MOCs - take your pick We actually discussed this as well trying to figure out where/how to do it, but we realized the angle of the Falcon would be really high and would require a really tall stand and it just seemed superfluous.

You missed the Laser beam!

Welcome to Eurobricks! Awesome drill-a-ped! Really nice and unique design. Though I love the little robot buddy. he's adorable! (Have you considered using a bit of flex tube so you can make him snake around/more posable? ) I also looked a bit through your flickr stream - some nice unique builds you got there ! Hope to see more from ya!

Well, the Empire doesn't consider a small one-man fighter to be any threat, or they'd have a tighter defense. An analysis of the plans provided by Princess Leia has demonstrated a weakness in the battle station. But the approach will not be easy. You are required to maneuver straight down this trench and skim the surface to this point. The target area is only two meters wide. It's a small thermal exhaust port, right below the main port. The shaft leads directly to the reactor system. A precise hit will start a chain reaction which should destroy the station. Only a precise hit will set off a chain reaction. The shaft is ray-shielded, so you'll have to use proton torpedoes. This was built for Star Wars Day - Toronto - and will be at Brick World and Brickfete - it also serves as ToroLUG's giant name plate The Awesome Fighters provided by Ricecracker And of course the trench swoosh video: (forgive the horrible Star Wars music - I didn't want to get sued but George)

First off, Welcome to Eurobricks! And congrats on your first MOC! And what a MOC! Wowza! This is brilliantly done mate! An instantly recognizable scene in Steam punk! The little chess set on the pirate wheel is great, as is the window/walls - and all the wood trimmings! Fantastic! So whatcha going to build next? I can't wait!

Sorry Otaku, I don't have LDD, so I can't even open your files... So I can't even comment... Maybe post some pictures next time would get people interested and generate some comments? Or perhaps a slightly better phrased title? "Homage to <person>'s stargate" or "My version of <persons>'s stargate" would strike a slightly more positive tone... "stealing" while I understand in jest - may make people pass on the thread ?

THE PEOPLE OF HISTORICA HAS SPOKEN! The most vile villian of the lands is: darkdragon! The Rocher Mummies will find you soon and seek their revenge!
-
Nice work! It really does look like the queen ship. Though I've never read the books (or know of the universe) I may have to add that to my read list... And I agree micro is totally different/fun style - I would recommend everyone to try it once

You won't be able to guess challenge four And no hints! Or did I just give you a hint? We are going to wait till voting is done - before we do another interlude then launch challenge 4. So you have sometime for free builds! And I still going through all the entries - and the kaliphiln ones just blow me away... Really great job! -
Stuffing Fangy's package Given by our own dinosaur nomenclaturologist - this one is pretty self explanatory. White Fang loves massive packages, and I'm more than happy to oblige.

Some nice upgrades for the ADU forces! hehe the "medic" was my favourite addition. And Maggie is adorable

HAHA Best use of GP so far! Well done! -
Nice Tardis! Where is that door from? It looks familiar, but I can't quite place it. As for resizing images - the easiest is just use flickr - it gives you several sizes to link from. Or you can try a site like Shrinkpictures.com.
