Indeed these are troubling times... Really cool - loving all the action you put in there.

Great update. These are fantastic! The asymmetrical build on the scout car is particularly nice! Are there interior to these? it looks like there's some hatches / canopies but you didn't show us the inside!

Looking great. I agree with the others, that bridge is awesome! Thanks for sharing how you did it. It's a shame you won't be bringing this to BW :(

haha good job!

Great builds! I love all the little play features you added. Shows great attention to detail. I don't know if you did it on purpose - but the lack of minifigs makes it feel really lonely and desolate... like if it was on the moon! As for photography - I agree - your mocs are great, and some better photographs would help - but it's not as bad as other stuff I've seen. What I don't agree with vynsane is the need for an SLR - it's not the type of camera that counts, it's the features/quality/how you use it. You can take some fantastic pictures with some pocket cameras. You just need to have some manual control and good light (be it outside, or light tent or other methods). .... I wanna "rebuild" the Yellow castle now.

Traitor By Ricecracker. Apparently you can't even JOKE about using megablocks without being branded ...

Tick Tock! Anyone else panicking yet? Only WEEKS away.... everyone still good with what they're bringing? Anyone else bringing anything new? (you never know what random prizes maybe given...)

Funky hair / alien heads are the best way (with civy clothes). The other simple way is just add a helmet/air tank on the guy. Instant Scifi! Though it really depends on the actual moc you're using them in. (Awesome speader Vynsane! - great fig choices too )

Very nice. It totally evokes the Alien Drop ship feel. Yet ADU! Nice combo. Do the landing gears fold up into the ship? that would be pretty nifty. Though it feels it needs some sort of vertical thrusters, either something that rotates, or some engines pointed down to make it 'dropable' if you catch my drift. Maybe add another bank of engines just under the current ones that can rotate? Oh another thing I would do is extend that yellow line a bit further out into the cockpit section, so the stripe goes straight through the ship. Can't wait to see this built in real life with your other ADU expanded builds

Thanks for all the comments everyone! @ purpleparadox of course this can be converted to war ship... the are four cannons on each side, the ports are just closed at the moment. It is time of peace! Good eye gedren_y ! yes they're from Avatar set/ Fire nation flag (Great show BTW!) I got them originally for the throne room, but never integrated it... I think I should probably get some more :P Hyler Talliwell most definitely! I can't wait to meet everyone And I might have some surprises for GoH people that bring their mocs Jason Cicchini Thanks so much! While it's good to have people respect us ... we're not drow ... we do not (try) to make people fear us... Jarl and I are good friends, and all Mitgardian's are welcome onboard for some tar ale!

I think people have had enough time to vote... Thanks for everyone who took the time to vote seriously The winner of the JOUST will be announced with the Challenge 3 scoring. (like we don't know who that will be )

Now that's a scooter! it just screams zipping around Really really nice build in such a small space. Fantastic piece usage all around. The firehose in particular I thought was fantastic. What's that little flex tube thing from the back engine? a bley whip? haha it's so great I can't even figure it out.
-
Nice. I love the colour variants... Though where is that engine piece from ? I don't really recognize it ? (Excoforce?). I also love the variable weapon payloads. I should do that more - it looks fun! Is it just me or the front feels a bit .... /flat/ ? maybe change that 2x2 plate to a slope or curved slope? would make it slightly more aerodynamic.

There! I merged everything in this thread for you. This should keep things tidier. I would suggest you edit the first post and have pics/links to each individual build (you can copy the link - the little number on the right hand side will give you a direct link to that post). That way everyone can see all your faction in one overview page and look at each individual MOC! As for photo skills... it might be obvious, but the best way to take good pictures is to take LOTs of pictures. For each picture I post, I probably take 10 from the same angle, and I pick which angle is best (so if things are out of focus, the light is wrong etc etc, I have plenty to choose from). Try that

Nice MOC! I like how much you were able to do with just a handful of sets! Using the wheels as pillars I thought was particularly inventive. Call me a sucker for movie references, but the None Shall Pass laser turrets was my favourite part. And the little buggy with the dumpster in the back was nifty too! Though poor M-Tron guys... you couldn't build them an Air Lock for they hang out without their suits on?

Hey fr33manator ... While I understand how you might want to revisit some of your old MOCs, keep in mind we have guildlines on bumping old threads. Now if you wanted to tie all your Ice Planet builds together, I could merge all your topics together, and you can provide update/new builds in there? Instead of bumping all these old threads? That being said... I like this one! The opening canopies are pretty cool, as are the little turrets on the side. Maybe next time put some cladding or tiling to hide the Technic beams?

The ship didn't survive well after last show, so I rebuilt it. Better than ever!

Dextrus Flagg's pleasure sail. In these growing times of unease and rising tensions, sometimes you just need to chill and sail around the southern seas for awhile... Captain's party cabin. (This is a rebuild of my old ship, it didn't survive the last show)

What dire news to read over my morning coffee. And such ghastly (amusing) paintings!

I have to chime in as well... the windows are fantastic!

Kaliphlin Guild: Homepage, Sign-up and Discussion
Si-MOCs replied to Si-MOCs's topic in Guilds of Historica
Sdair Zuree Welcome to our fair guild. We have the finest of ales for you, including a fine selection of hillbilly-ale I look forward to sampling some of your colourful wares! Mikel That looks fantastic! I was wondering when someone would build a pyramid... (I started one, but didn't pan out well). And in true Kaliphlin fashion, totally not what I was expecting :) Didn't Avalonina steal that from us? Every single member is listed on the front page, linked to their profile (intro post). -
Another great build! Fantastic! Though I'm curious ... why did you name it Queen's Hammer? it doesn't have a hammer, it does't really look like the Queen? The shape of the mech is fantastic. It FEELs so right. The shaping of the head with the saucer is also really well executed. Intended or not, the mix of new and old Grey worked really well. And you hid the joints really really well. I honestly don't have any real suggestions/negatives... except does it actually fit a minifig? (And yes I think those are Brickwarrior helmets )

I haven't seen Paul, but that's definitely a nice RV :) I love the interior, and the door is great! Maybe next time you could add link to your gallery so people can see more detailed shots? Thanks for sharing!

FYI Toronto to get Discovery Center

Not really Legoland, I assume they mean discovery center.... but still http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toronto/story/2012/05/25/legoland-vaughan-mills236.html The Canadian Press Posted: May 25, 2012 9:18 AM ET Last Updated: May 25, 2012 9:16 AM ET Legoland is coming to the Toronto area next spring. Construction is set to begin this summer on the $12-million centre at Vaughan Mills Shopping Centre, about 30 kilometres north of Toronto, leisure giant Merlin Entertainments announced Thursday. The Legoland Discovery Centre is being billed as an interactive and educational two- to three-hour indoor experience geared to families with children aged three to 10. The centre, based on the popular Lego brick, will have a range of play areas including a 4D cinema, brick pool, classes from a master model builder, rides and special rooms for birthday parties and other celebrations. A Miniland exhibit featuring buildings nominated by the community will be designed to reflect the iconic buildings and skyline of the area. Lego models for the approximately 3,160-square-metre Vaughan location will be made in Merlin studios around the world and shipped in during construction. More than 139 million people live within a day's drive of the site in southern Ontario. "The enthusiasm with which we have been welcomed was a key factor in selecting our location," Glenn Earlam, managing director of Merlin's Midway Attractions Operating Group, which includes the Legoland Discovery Centres, said in a release. He added that the company has also identified two other potential new sites in Canada. Canada will be the 21st country in which Merlin has attractions. The company has 90 attractions in 19 countries and plans to open six new sites in 2012, including four in the U.S. Attractions include Legoland theme parks, Sea Life aquariums, Madame Tussauds and water parks. Vaughan Mills, a shopping and entertainment destination, is owned and operated by Ivanhoe Cambridge.
