I'm divided... the ships are absolutely lovely... but the presentation, is ... equally fitting for these beauties! I'm always super impressed by the compactness of your builds... no extraneous items of forum - just compact awesomeness. Really well done. So do you actually have two of these? or did you just swap out the colours when you were done?

... if it means having your collection - then yes! Plus ... i love pastel de natas -- Really nice collection everyone - I wish i had more old sets ... or room to collect all these... my shelves are all full of those useless MOCs that are slowly being picked at for pieces

Where's his tape recorder to be recording his log? BTW did you make that cape he's wearing? it's nice! Oh you might also want to link the stories together so people can easily read through them (assuming you're doing more :) And I think I liked your previous backdrop more... this one is ... well it's a desk

Brilliant little fighter - it really does look like an Arrow It's really awesome how you were able to pack all this into such a small ship. And I love the super smoothness and shaping of it. Really nicely done! Hope to see more little ships from you!

What? not comments? shame. Nice little build and solid back story to go with it. I don't know how you were able to get all that gear on that bike, but you did a good job without making it look two "stuck on" Intentional or not, I liked the railing? or whatever the whole moc is sitting on, it adds an interesting take to it. Though in future please make sure your images are 800x600 or smaller (I have resized them for you) as per Member Guidelines

The build is great, but what really got me was the story. Inspired. The little cliques and tongue in cheek jokes were perfect! Really well done ... Do I dare ask how you posed your arms? did you just shove the arm into the socket? -

Erudhalion Wow ! Another great build! the little rock work adds so much to the contrast of the tan brick. I'm extremely impressed at how detailed and interesting you were able to make an entirely uniformly coloured wall! Very nice. And the little accent colours are just perfect. And your rock monster is superb! Saladus that is looking great! The water effects is really neat! Can't wait to see what your elemental looks like :D But as Gabe mentioned keep in mind some of the criteria... but it sounds like you're on the right track Dugal Are you serious? you have to move again? That sucks... and we could have used an extra build or two... gedren_y that's a great face! Mikel That ship looks great! It never occurred to me to do a ship scene... it should be fantastic! -
You could have just brought your modulex.... They're so small .... you could have fit your collection in your desk drawer

After 2 Brickfetes, and two displays and a Train show, it was time to retire my Great Wall. I enlisted my friends in helping with the dismantling of the wall... D'OH! I'm sorry, I think that was during one of my breaks ... Next time throw some LEGO at me
-
Well next time let us know, and we'll try to figure a way to get you a ride. DUDE you came and didn't even say HI to me? we were Grand Opening buddies

It was pretty incredible... You should definitely try to come out next year! Huh? Wheelbarrow guy? Everywhere? Are you accusing me/others of placing that ridiculously cute fig on every single display just to take a picture? That would have like taken two hours to go and find interesting places for that fig. That's a lot of effort for such little payoff. Seriously, don't you think I have better things to do?
-
I hope a bunch of you were able to make it out to Brickfete! If not here's a sampling of some of the awesome stuff on display: Brickfete 2012

Who said that the fig from series 8 is a female ? It could be a male alien that is rocking the purple suede.

I see my reputation precedes me And for the record it actually is really hard and requires a lot of thought to come up with stupid answers...

Cash is safest (haven't you been systematically taking out money in preparation?) Edit: Some vendors have access to cc readers so you should be able to use your credit cards! -
Yup. Though scifi is wayyyyyy bigger this year. But I will be most happy to work out your question with you - or find some one that can

No. Kev is NA coordinator this was presented by the world wide Community Coordinator. It sounds extremely high, but a few points: Officially LUGs can be AFOL and TFOL - they could count as both - thus elevating numbers. Your point about Germany being a huge market is very true. But don't confuse LEGO market and AFOLs. They don't necessarily correlate - AFOLs make up (officially) 5% of the market. So it's possible that this could be skewed in some markets... Not all LUGs participate in the Ambassador programs - much like how some LUGs don't participate in LUGBulk. Counter example (sorry to be stereotypical but) Koreans love StarCraft, a stadium match can pull over 100k audience. That's three times the reputed LUG number right there. And statistically out of whack relative to the rest of the world. Using the original game as an example, I think something like 4.5 million out of 12M copies of the game sold world wide was in Korea. I think that it's also possible their LUGs run differently than ours - maybe their LUGs are more like fanclubs? They are still adult fans of LEGO, but not perhaps at the same intensity as some folks on here... Maybe they Korean AFOLs interaction and shows than a more traditional north american model? Ultimately the number comes from LEGO HQ in Billund, and much like the official AFOL market share number of 5% - you can either believe or not. Not much use over analysing it.
