It still looks a bit like 3d model... but it's getting hard to tell. I think if you actually took the shadows out of the second pic at quick glance I would have passed it off as simply photoshopped background. Nice reverse-engineering there too!

We have probably some of the most talented all round builders/storytellers/creative builders here... we could make a serious run for top Guild - dispite our lower numbers Gabe congrats on the Green! Most deserving... and after you get some sleep you might want to look around to see if anythings changed. Dugal I hope the loan and moving goes through. We have missed your builds brother! My SI brother! how a like we are... many oft times I build then make up the tale. Cause only after you have your build could weave a tale that befits your build1 .... Some interesting blasters you got there mr. blaster master. I've seen some of those tricks done before, but some are new! Nice job. I also like how you changed up some minifig heads :)

Nice build! I'm really liking that black/yellow/trans-blue colour scheme! I really liked how you added the little trans blue accents - form the fire to the dots.\ My only complaint is the lack of cockpit... for some reason something this size feels like it should have a cockipt... but still really Now don't point that thing at anyone's eyes now!

Really nice job. You really did do a great job capturing the Bay aesthetics of the robots. Which is not an easy feat at all. And great use of the background... Did you decide to use this because you had the background already?

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone! I built this about a year and a half ago... I have learnt much since then but yes, I would do this very diffidently if I were to rebuild it - and I think you're absolutely right in doing more asymmetrical areas.

I like it. Bold choice in colours - and worked out really well. I like the angles and the little details you put in - the tubes, the droid arms etc- it makes the build interesting to look! And some great parts/technique usages there too! Good job! Lime is a fantastic colour! Extremely useful. Just cause YOU don't know how to use it, don't knock the colour

What has really surprised me is not how many great builders we have... But how great the builders have improved! It's increadible seeing builders seemingly do the impossible and keep coming out with better and better builds! :slow clap:

Very cool. I'm always impressed when people make LEGO transformers ... that acutally transformers! Though couldn't you make him red? I also really like the minigun that you designed for him. Great stuff!

Building on site eh? You'd fit right in with a EB layout Fascinating... I really really really loved the completed layout... and would love to try something like this for a large layout... so it's interesting to hear how you guys approached it. Did everyone build like yours? the 'full' height? or were most of the modules built on some platform that someone had built?

Thanks everyone! I'm glad everyone enjoyed both the MOC and the little story! It was really fun coming up with the concept and writing it out. ... ... opps. hahaha good catch. Actually the three fighters are offset so it's almost equidistantly split up. It's off by a stud or so, but it's practically balanced

Hehe fun moc. I love how they have an island on the moon. My favorite part would be either the cleaning droids or the "sheild" fencing you put up.

Wow. Simply wow. I remember seeing the LDD version of this, and I remember it was fantastic. And I imagined it would look great in real life.... but the amount of decals you added is just ... phenomenal. It takes this from a great MOC to an epic MOC. Really well done. Another trait of an awesome build is sense of scale. This feels huge. The lack of studs and the overall hefty feel of this moc makes it feel much larger than it really is. And the feet are just incredible. Though it feels with all this size - it would be carrying some crazy missle or cannon on it's back/shoulder.

Nice MOC! I love the whole diamond shape to it. Though it just begs for a black background. As mentioned the inclusion of all the little boxes are nice (you have a lot!) as well as the the blue one is cool. Like many of your builds - there's one part that just really speaks to me - and again it's that wonderful platform. I don't know if it's the contrast of the colours, or if I'm just naturally drawn to bley but I really like it - that fence in particular is really nicely used! Though if I could make one change, it would be the sloped edges. The over all shape is cool, but it feels it's lacking a bit of detail in those supports. But over all very cool moc. (and you need to add some sort of ship!)

Wow! Nice SHIP! and I mean SHIP! I like how you avoided the cliched sleak look - in space - there's no air drag And great work on getting the name written in brick! And the interior is fantastic - some really great details. Great ships like this really really make me want to try building my own. What's the internal structure/skeleton of your ship like? Though with the top being so smooth, I'm surprised you didn't tile some of the side panels as well... Really fantastic job.
