  1. Yes, though with a valid reason: the gearbox layout prevents me from putting it in correct orientation.
  2. The lever actually controls the direction in which the turntable rotates. The gearbox (connected to the yellow axle) always turns the front wheels and can be engaged to turn the turntable. In crab steering, the wheels and turntable contra-rotate, and in good steering they rotate the same way. Hope that clears things up. Thank you! Not on this one. There is no front PTO. What do you mean by that? Thank you very much!
  3. Looks great so far! Will it have articulated or front wheel steering?
  4. There are already several speed build of all the sets. AustrianLegoFan and Brick Builder have both done several sets each.
  5. The minimization of red will make the blue and the yellow look good. Your outrigger feet logic makes sense. I guess with all those colors present now I didn't understand the direction in which you were going to take the color scheme.
  6. I geared up the superstructure rotation on mine so it is now 16.67x faster but for some reason the rotation gear skips every now and then but only when rotating one way. Anyone have a similar issue when gearing up rotation?
  7. Wow. This is an INSANE build! Your jib looks very nice, though the dark blue panels do not fit and red does not work with the colors either.
  8. If I could describe this entry with one word, this thing is ingenious! Amazing use of the pullback motor.
  9. Thank you very much! And now... quick update: there is now a video for the steering:
  10. Awesome! My one complaint is the lights, which are too small. But there is nothing you can do about that so cheers!
  11. Thanks a lot! I will definitely be doing instructions for this MOC (though potentially not for a month or two). Tractors are fun builds (now I can say so myself). If you do find a nice tractor to build, just do it
  12. Awesome (especially bodywork)! Needs more blue
  13. I wouldn't consider that a fail. Seriously, it looks so nice! Nicer than my fails by a very, very, long shot
  14. Awesome pictures! Do you live in Atlantic Canada or just near a really nice bay/lake?
  15. Makes sense. The last 3 have been tractor-type. But I try and change it up each time. After this I am taking a long, long break from 42054. Multiple people have pointed the tires out. I will change them but for now I am lazy. Rear attachment is a sketch to reserve the parts. It will be refined.
  16. You are right. In fact, 42083's box is just slightly shorter.
  17. Another catalog=based observation: the box for the 42083 is much longer than that of 42056 but only as tall as that of 42080. I have the tiniest hunch that it will not be a car with such dimensions.
  18. The functions make this even more impressive!
  19. For the parts in the set, this is simply amazing re-purposing. I congratulate you on such an awesome model!
  20. Perhaps a bit less randomly arranged?
  21. Well, clearly no one cares about the front. How about a lawn mower attachment instead? It features 2 motorized functions. That's it!
  22. Awesome, but you are missing gold and brown, 2 prominent steampunk colors.
