  1. Dear RTN LNA, thanks for updating all those indexes. that must have been quite some work! You've pointed to some interesting vessals. Kind regards, Teddy
  2. Dear all, thanks for your nice replies! Today I uploaded some better lighted photos. I've also updated the scenery with some more small plant life. Kind regards, Teddy Brickshelf folder when public.
  3. Dear all, thanks for the nice feedback! Hopefully, I can make some better photos the comming days. I was thinking of making a module for the EBCCB, but I'm not sure which one. Kind regards, Teddy
  4. Dear all This weekend I've been working on my castle. since it is a bit dark now I couldn't make better pictures yet. Any comments and feedback is highly appriciated. Kind regards, Teddy Pictures updated on December: Update of the "keep"
  5. Dear mrts, that is a verry impressive MOC. I really like all the small detailing you put in on the walls. The birch tree is a verry nice addition as well. Kind regards, Teddy
  6. Dear Kurt (RTN LNA) , that's a beautyfull creation. Do you have a movie of the working paddle wheels? I would like to see them in action. Although I'm not a fan of big hull pieces on such large vessals, you did a real good job in using them. Kind regards, Teddy
  7. Dear Diamondback, welcome to EB. Don't worry I won't call you Yankee, or should i say a Jan-Kees. Because the names Jan and Kees were used by the Brits to identify those pesky Dutch people in New Amsterdam (New York). (who, by the way, copied nice chunks of our "Plakkaat van Verlatinghe" (1581) in your declaration of independance (1776) here) So since you're from Texas you're a cowboy to me. Kind regards, Teddy
  8. Hello mr. Bond, I will be looking forward to your posts. Don't worry we love Americans over here. The only thing I personally dislike is the foreign policy of your government. But, that is no mistake of yours. Kind regards, Teddy
  9. Dear KimT, thanks for your reply! I'll be checking this topic on thursday then. Kind regards, Teddy
  10. Dear Kenny, sorry to hear you're abbondoning parst of your castle. Do you have any updates on the changes you made? Kind regards, Teddy
  11. Dear KimT, any luck yet, on finding time and inspiration to build on your yellow castle? Kind regards, Teddy
  12. Hi Hawkeye, welcome to EB. Have you made any MOCs yet, which you want to display? Do you have a brickshelf folder containing some photos of your collection? Kind regards, Teddy
  13. Dear fluyt, the exchange rates and price differences seem to have changed a bit for 2009. some of the new 2009 city sets reflect a pre tax exchange rate (US prices are without VAT, Euro prices with VAT on S@H) of 1,35 US dollar per 1 Euro. The actual cost per brick for 2009 sets has gone up about 30% in the US in this new price range compared to 2008 prices. In the Euro area the price per brick seems to be stable when compared to 2008. Therefore, we might get a slightly better deal than what we would normally anticipate from US prices. Than again, Lego pricing is always a king of Enigma. Kind regards, Teddy
  14. Dear Hinckley, your MOC is really impressive. I've been struggeling with the town plan as well. I love it, but the scale just doesn't fit with the other modular buildings. Although, I don't have a town layout like you I display them side by side. The first post instantly reminded me of the Tuschinski Theater in Amsterdam (as was pointed out by Simmonwillems). The intiriour is great as well. Just only compliments from me. Kind regards, Teddy
  15. Dear DNL, I really like how you integrated the dark bley "stones" in the light bley walls. They seem to fit real tight, without any open slits. Are you planning on making a tutorial on your tight fitting technique? Kind regard, Teddy
  16. Dear Aliencat, I like the use of the tan color. Did you use old grey and old dark grey in your MOC? Because, I always find light bley turns blue and tan turns yellow when they are combined side by side. the siege tower is a nice touch. Although personally, I like to separate fantasy elements from historic events (in this case the crusades), I think you did a good job here with all the action. So in all I really like this MOC. Kind regards, Teddy
  17. Dear Guss et all, he sure does. Amazingly complete collection though. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear Ras, any progress yet? Or do we have to wait untill the beginning of the year? Kind regards, Teddy
  19. Dear Lorentzen, welcome at EB. Hopefully, you will pick up the habit of making MOCs. Translated best I could for CGH : Kind regards, Teddy
  20. Dear Mariann, that is really impressive! Good thing you're not using software. It kind of takes the fun away and it is difficult to get the "SNOT" in there correctly. Personnaly I always find that what looks good in software can be vastly improved in real life. Kind regards, Teddy
  21. Dear Mariann, A real Master Model Builder. I'm impressed. I checked out your website, there is some good stuff on it. Kind regards, Teddy
  22. Dear all, 30% discount.... I wish we would have had those Lego stores here in the Netherlands wenn I was looking for a part time job. There are two Lego stores at 2 hours driving, right across the border in Germany. (in Koln and Oberhausen) But that was not something I could consider for a part time job wenn I was younger. Since I'm Dutch, anything outside cycling distance (yes we all cycle over here) is too far away. (the Netherlands is one big traffic jam for cars anyway) ---<slightly of topic>---- I'm still puzzled why we don't have a Lego store in the Netherlands. For example in the centrally located city of Utrecht (easy access by train from all mayor cities). The fan base is verry large here (Legoworld Zwolle attracted 75,000 visitors in 2008), so I'm really puzzled. ---------------------------- Kind regards, Teddy
  23. Dear Buttons, thanks for posting that! That's one cool cube. Dear Front, I really like those structures you made! That's some amazingly crazy 3D building. kind regards, Teddy
  24. Dear Phred, the ship is looking really good on those pictures. The small boats are really well done, with some nice techniques. I agree with SlyOwl and do hope you will tile the decks, since it will add a lot to the "realism"/ apperance of the vessal. I really like the use of custom made guns (in this case your caronades)! I always like to use costum made guns myself as well. So keep up the nice building. Kind regards, Teddy
  25. Dear Ralph_S, Excellent color scheme! The "painting effect" looks really authentic. I'm also wondering which parts you used for the canopie? Kind regards, Teddy
