Yes, I agree. They should have stuck with this design. In my opinion this one is much better than the one released. I would have bought this one as a no brainer. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear all, those new star wars sets look really good! I especially like how they improved upon the AT ST walker. This could be the best minifig sized one yet. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear all, thanks for all the nice comments. I have the Cafe Corner style buildings standing on a window still in the living room. My girlfriend really likes the Cafe Corner style buildings so we put them on display there. So I don't have a real layout. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear all, from the results of the poll I would guess that the Roman era has the most votes overall (with/without fantasy). Although a Greek based theme is also fine with me ofcourse, maybe with some Babylonians in there as well. kind regards, Teddy

Dear Bonaparte, I just checked Le Protecteur. I believe the wheel is also located on the quarterdeck, under the poopdeck. I might be mistaken, but I remember this to be a French idea which the British copied in their designs. Kind regards, Teddy

Congrats Zorro!

Dear Bonaparte, just to be sure I double checked a third-rate ship of the line (70 guns) in one of my books. The ships wheel is not on the poop deck, but on the quarter deck. In front of the cabin doors. It sometimes is located just onder the poop deck, as kind of a car-port (for a lack of a better word) . Ofcourse there might be ships I'm not aware of which have an irragular postion of the ships wheel. Hope this answers your question? Kind regards, Teddy

Thanks LuxorV, The interior is still empty, except for the fire engines at the ground floor and a white staircase going up to the first floor. The first floor is still one giant empty space. The red roof can be separated an the two floors can be separated at the dark bley line, which you van see in the fourth photo. When separated the front facade is still in one piece. Kind regards, Teddy

ah yes, the idea would be cool! I guess I will use mine as a baseplate for a lighthouse in the sea at low tide. Or maybe a small bastion guarding a port entrence, or a combination of the two.

Hi Slyowl!, you're right about the ballast, although they did shuffle it around for weight trimming during sailing. I conciously did not use cheese slopes since I wanted the curves to be equally smooth in every cross section. Since I find this gives a more pleasing effect on the eye. But that is just personal ofcourse. Kind regards, Teddy

B-PV-1D Dear all, a few months ago I bought the Lego Fire Station 7945. Since, it did not really fit with the Cafe Corner I decided to modify it. Because I wanted to respect the color scheme, it turned into this MOC. This is my first Town MOC since 1997. It has actually been standing on my shelf for a few months now. It is a modular building, the top floor can be separated from the ground floor. Please tell me what you think, any feedback is welcome. Kind regards, Teddy The Fire House:

Personally, I'm not really font of big rock/sand pieces. But this does give possibilities for smoother beaches. Slyowl, what exactly do you mean with a floating island? Because, as far as i can see an up side down one doesn't fit under an upright one. But i could just be misinterpreting what you are saying. Kind regards, Teddy

It's a dwarf that drank too much.

Yep the cage is also one of my favoutite details. The embrasures are a nice touch as well. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear I Scream Clone, it must have taken a lot of effort to make such a good quality MOC of such a classic as the Eldorado-fortress. The color scheme is verry nice and the rock base is amazing. I like the tan/white scheme of the new pirate sets a lot better than the yellow/white of the origional. If I would have to say one thing I'm not really font of in your MOC, it is the open side wall of the crane tower. I agree with other posters, that your MOC will look great with the new soldier's fort 6242. The style of your building is indeed more in the style of the Imperial trading post 6277. Which, if you would MOC that set as well, makes them fit togheter better than the original two did. That said, personally I really liked all the small arches of the original. Keep up the good work. Kind regards, Teddy

Princess Quest Chapter IX: The Battle of Brickborough
Teddy replied to Sandy's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Dear Sandy, thanks for posting the last chapter. I really enjoyed reading your story. I like the MOCs you made as a background for your story line. The miniature town was a real nice touch. Kind regards, Teddy -

Dear all, after reading several discussions about which ship (BSB SES BB) is the best, I decided to make some comparison photos. < edit: Dear Admins I'm verry sorry if this will crowd in with all the other aforementioned topics. So feel free to merge this topic to an appropriate one. > Kind regards, Teddy

Thanks Dwarvenlord, I've collected the army mostly from the "Crossbow Attack" 7090 set and the "The Knight" 5615 set. Which I find to be great army builders. Only thing left now is to complete the interior and courtyard buildings. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear Kurt, thanks for your reply. I've been ordering and collecting bricks for the HMS Victory the last couple of months. Actually, I've doubled the number of brown bricks in the ship, although that doesn't show on the photos. The ship itself however is a whole lot sturdier than four months ago and can even be lifted by hand as a whole. Currently, I have a large stack of tan tiles, but I'm still waiting for an order of 1x4 tiles. I hope to make some progress during the Christmas days. I have a nice building plan of the planking on the decks, so I'm trying to make the planking as close to original as possible. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear Pencoin, I didn't think Knights' Kingdom was a great theme. <attempt to make a rational argumentation on a matter of personal preference> Personally, I like it a lot when lego sets resamble some real life figures and buildings. I feel it should still have some sense of "believability". ( I know this is vague) Also the more detailed and realistic/believable a MOC, the better I like it. That is my opinion; I guess we can only agree to disagree on this one. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear Erdbeereis1, You are right. I should have waited for better photos before judging. Kind regards, Teddy

was I waiting for this?.... Horrible.... How could they design such ugly sets after the medieval village. This is ugly, ugly horribly ugly. KK all over again. I hated KK so much I even exchanged a set that was given to me as a present by my girlfriend... I really hope they will re-design these ugly sets, what were the designers thinking? An utterly disapointed and gutted, Teddy <edit: sorry admins if this post is not productive for discussion. I was a bit in shock >

Dear all, thanks for all the nice comments on my HMS Victory MOC. Currently, i've started work on the orlop deck. The orlop deck will be able to lift out of the current hold. The other decks on top will be three seperate detachable modules. I have some ideas for planking, but I'm not fully satisfied so currently I'm sticking with tan. The test versions I've attached below the photos of the current state of the MOC. Any feedback or comments are more than welcome. Kind regards, Teddy Current state of the MOC: close up of first part of the orlop: Ideas for planking (different colors: tan, dark tan, old light grey):
