Exclusive Train 10194 Emerald Night (Exclusive 2009)
Teddy replied to der seb's topic in LEGO Train Tech
hmm that could be a real problem. Maybe someone (or even me ) can make a hobby project and program some bluetooth receivers. those are small and cheap enough. E.g. 2 dollar or so per piece in industrial use. I guess we could even add some encryption to guard against other users. One could make a piconet with 7 active devices and 255 idle ones, but one could switch to the idle ones at will. We could use a class two with a range of 10 meters. So how often does info needs to be send and with how much latency? I guess in train control systems the latency for switching on a light for example or changing speed can be up to half a second. So that would equal an eternaty in wireless-land. The whole system could be controled via a laptop. all additional track controls could be wired, I guess. Or partially bluetooth as well. Kind regards, Teddy- 559 replies

Looks great so far. Maybe some angeling in the roof and some tan or yellow to give it a straw roof feeling? Not sure what you are going for with the current roof: current roof Keep it up. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear Simonwillems, Great build. you captured the original verry well. I've never seen such a building done in Lego before. Kind regards, Teddy
-
Dear Lasse D, Cool MOD. Like Asuka said: Somehow, wenn I saw the first photos of this set I assumed such a mechanism was in there... Silly me. Should have knwon better after all the creator car sets with no steering.. Kind regards, Teddy

Richie/ Brickhead, pointed me at Lowlug that my mini/ micro steam train MOC was frontpaged at Railbricks, here. Thanks for the info buddy! Kind regards, Teddy

Great stuff BlueBard, I've checked the older photos of the facade of V.1. As far as I can see you've: -lowered the base -added tiling at the door -added new doors -added transparant light blue glass in the small windows on the side -added white window stills below the small windows on the side -added umbrella roofs at the front. -updated the lantern -added a garbage can. So quite some changes. I love what you did with the interior. Keep it up. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear Captain Zuloo, I've replaced the white lines with white tiling (not yellow ). Although it is a minor change I did take some photos to pracitse my photo skills. Must confess that when photographing at night it is difficult to get ample lighting. Using the flash makes the surrounding too dark. So I needed a large amount of light. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear SlyOwl, this is great stuff all round! Great use of parts and techniques. All kind of action going on. For me the firing gun is the finishing touch. Congrats on making the frontpage, well deserved. Keep it up. Kind regards, Teddy

Thanks Er!k, I'm not sure about a station, but I might try to build some same scaled models. Kind regards, Teddy

Thanks Broadside. I could use the gangsters of the Shanghai chase. Thanks Zorbas, it was a realy enjoyable build. I've been wanting to build a train station for quete a while now. I was wondering about the right size for a station. But in the end, I just started on something which could fit in the community build. And went along with what was in my mind. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear rupi, That is a great Limo! Finally a descent car for the minifigs to be driven in, in Lego Town. Verry clever design and good use of pieces. Keep it up. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear all, thanks for all the cool replies! Thanks Natman8000. Thanks Eilif, it was quete tempting to put greebles on the empty space. But it would have been too cluttered. Thanks Blue Bard, but you are a MF, it shows in your sigfig. Thanks Aliencat. Thanks Thrash, I guess option 2 is the best. It would allow for some room for a rail system. thanks rriggs, yeah the hands of the clock don't move... So the time is only correct two times a day. Thanks CGH, yeah in 1 saturday, I was inspired. Oehhh add ons.. That might be a good idea Thanks Wout. Thanks OptimusPrime12380, yeah I need a train now. I have to confince my girlfriend we need a track in the living room. Thanks 5150 Lego. Thanks Legofan, the drawers are ment to be (hand) luggage lockers. with an electronic controller in the middle. Those are quete common here in the Netherlands to have in train stations. You can put your luggage there when waiting for a transfer or for safe keeping and go shopping in the town. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear all, thanks for all the cool replies. Dear Holodoc, the black was really difficult to capture, even with adequate lighting. After taking +/_ 50 photos and some selection I choose these three as the best. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear Ralph_S, that is just stunning. Love what you did with the color scheme. The canopy up front is just brilliant. The only thing that could make it better, would be tiling the wings. Thumbs up from me. Kind regards, Teddy

Dear Henning Birkeland, thats an amazing MOC. Alround good use of pieces and techniques. I really like what you did with the angled paneling of the hood. As CGH suggested: we need some chrome on this baby. Kind regards, Teddy
