  1. @Omikron My point was: More colors doesn't help colorblind people at all not regarding the level of disorder.
  2. If you're colorblind, more colors won't help as you can't see them. Let me quote from Wikipedia: I'm partly colorblind but fortunately can tell apart most Lego colors in daylight or bright light. I've real problems when dealing with all these different shades of blue or green or all these color shades of system bricks – mostly when light is weak.
  3. Have look there; https://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?/forums/topic/153585-technic-2018-set-discussion/&do=findComment&comment=2966400
  4. Dear @Erik Leppen, I agree 100%!
  5. That are exactly the panels I was thinking about. If I'm not wrong these two small panels and the big curved panels with 10 holes are only matching in a handful of colors. That's disgusting ... (if one is planing to rebuild a MOC using these parts in another color/version). This is so true also besides the named panels
  6. Talking about colors … I don't mind all the new colors. What bothers me is that always only a few parts come in new colors. So always when I'm building a new MOC I stuck because not all important parts are available in the designated color and I go back to the traditional colors. For example all the panels. There are some in these and some in theses colors. So you can't use them together. That's really anoying.
  7. Wow, this is really cool. Great MOC for exhibitions as one can spot so many details inside and outside. Very well done!
  8. Hey there, it's a while since I promised the "Behind the MOC" video. Today I managed to film and publish it. There are some new detail pics at my flickr channel too. Looking forward your comments.
  9. Jep, I also think it's a fine model from technical perspective. It was a pleasure
  10. It's not only possible, it is motorized. 42080 contains a L-motor, battery box and the V2 pump. The battery box and the compressor are located under the hood in the back of the vehicle.
  11. As I'm a Pneumatic addict I spent some more minutes with 42080 than with 42082 And since then I'm waiting desperately for the new valve
  12. The valve we see in 42080 is for sure pure mechanical. But you can add a servo very easily.
  13. Ahh :) The handle is very similar to the old one and it's not removable. By the way, in the vehicle it's facing the front not the rear (not good to be seen in the picture). Yes I am. It has two pinholes and the valve is symmetric in every dimension.
  14. I attached a clip out. There you'll see, that effermann's sketch is close to perfect. As I fumbled around with the valve I'm close to 100% sure that the hoses are to be connected to the bottom of the valve. It is an axle hole.
  15. Looking at the pictures of 42080 I have to admit: efferman's 3D sketch is very close to the actual design of the new Pneumatic valve
  16. Can't remember. I think it was only normal steering – one or both axes? Don't know. Sorry :/
  17. In theory no problem, but it's four month ago. As far as I remember: Move out and lower outriggers, turn upper structure, lift and move out the boom, and raise and lower the hook. I think (but am not sure) alle functions were driven by the motor. There are switches as well as on the upper and on the lower part. One of the bottom switches were for the outriggers, the other to switch between upper and lower part of the mechanics (really not sure if that right in my memory). Steering is Hand of God steering at the rear of the lower part.
  18. I got just a first impression as I had only a few minutes with it. For the moment: It's big, it's red - I like the model and it's design. Im curious for the gear box as it powers all functions with only one L-motor and if the mechanics work smoothly. I'm disappointed that there's only one motor and no remote control.
  19. Maybe it wasn't the final box design. I've seen and played a little with the real thing at Nuremberg and there was a L-motor used inside. Maybe it wasn't the final model but there was not much space inside to use a XL.
