Lego Superheroes 2013 Rumours & Discussion
Scorpiox replied to CorneliusMurdock's topic in LEGO Licensed
If (hopefully when) we get another The Sun promotion, I think there is a high chance of this and Hearbreaker suit polybags showing up. -
Bane's and Joker's cars are brilliant, the latter of which I'm sure would work well as a larger model.

Oh God... Reminds me so terribly of ye olde Werewolf Mafia, in which, after many a day's morning meal, they (Hinckley) gave up pretending and just called it 'cock'.

6857 Funhouse Escape: Any interesting modifications?
Scorpiox replied to Scorpiox's topic in LEGO Licensed
I have to second the love for the chequered floor, it really makes the place look more interesting. I believe I also have some large tan plates out the back somewhere, so perhaps I might try and add an additional room to the Funhouse. Something with living quarters for Joker and Harley, as a hideout with no-where to sleep is barely a hideout at all!- 12 replies

I think that's a bloody brilliant attitude to life, makes me wish I'd done my childhood differently... "Scorpiox, eat yer greens!" "But why? They don't give me as many stat bonuses as red meat and chips." "Scorpiox, go to bed now!" "But why? I only need four hours sleep to properly recover my lost HP." "Scorpiox, go to school!" "But why? If I misbehave, the teacher will only inflict an unblockable critical hit on me with her WP: 17 ruler."

Thanks for the suggestions so far, comrades! No, please do. Although beautiful, Sok's creation is huge and rather out of my spectrum.- 12 replies

That's a really nice twist there, CJP, having the heroes' roleplay acknowledgement of the ambush factoring to whether they are stunned or not.

Heroica RPG- Quest #67: Nova Tertia
Scorpiox replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Well, bugger me with a fishfork. Good thing we weren't caught off-guard. Benji, although your strategy is sound, we can make this a lot easier for ourselves by keeping the first one alive and just hacking at the other ones. Tarn, you alright there? Guess you look a bit out of it, maybe I could give you a hand along?" Haldor and Tarn both fling themselves at the third Velocinoid, twice and from the front row all four times. The two men shout war cries in unison as they set upon the beasts. Alan decides it best to stand back in safety while the other fighters engage in combat. Hello good people of Eurobricks! I have recently purchased the DC Superheroes Funhouse Escape set, but it has not yet arrived. It looks to be a very nice set, with lots of potential of modding. What I am wondering is this; has anyone found or carried out any interesting modifications on the set that I could perhaps replicate on my copy? I'm asking about enlargements, editions and reductions to make an already nice set better to look at and better to play () with. I don't expect tutorials or anything like that - although that would be great - simply ideas would be fine. Does anyone have any?

For me it's rather more like this: Once there were mountains on mountains and once there were songbirds to soar with and once I could never be down. Got to keep searching and searching and oh what will I be believing and who will connect me with love? 'Tis what keeps me going.

That's really not good, right?

Heroica RPG- Quest #67: Nova Tertia

Haldor broke his charge in an effort to reply. "Wait... when'd they say that? I don't remember it, if you would be so kind as to jog my memory..." -

Haldor says nothing, only continuing to charge forward with eyes wide and blood pumping in his ears. He charges at the Velocinoid from the front row, striking twice. Alan steps back in an effort to avoid being hurt. Battle Order: Tarn Tarn Benji Benji Jeaux Heckz Alan Bors Haldor Haldor -

"Thank you for the offer, Tarn, but I'm fine without your potion. Still got my clerical abilities, ya' know?" Haldor heals himself and Tarn from a safe distance. Alan sits back and relaxes. Battle Order: Tarn Tarn Haldor Haldor Benji Benji Heckz Jeaux Alan Bors Carson -
Heroica needs more heroes that just come here 'cause they're decent people. I'm serious. For the number of tortured people in this organisation we ought to have just as many regular blokes. I know that my second character is only going to have as much philosophical depth as officer John Mclane. And please, everyone stop posting/relating to that Green Day song... Have this for the theme of madness/sorrow/despair from now onwards! More Bowie = better.

Star Trek: Into Darkness. Astoundingly brilliant, confirms my belief that Cumberbatch is one of the best actors in the world right now.

Thanks for the help! In response to your suggestions: For me, getting the Batcave is a bit of an impossibility (There's no way I could sneak that amount of money out of the bank account without raising suspicions), so this set would have to be a stand-alone purchase. I'm hoping that the Funhouse would also have lots of potential for expansion, something that Batmobile appears to lack. The figures in both sets are beautiful to my eye (guess that puts me on the 'love' end of Two-Face's spectrum), and are interesting to me as a builder and creator. And a man who likes to 'play' with his LEGO. Since the two sets appeal to me in pretty similar ways, the price will likely be a deciding factor in this.

"You know what's worrying me? There's only one of these buggers here..." Haldor bids himself not to worry too much about this fact, instead leaping forward to attack the Velocinoid from the front row twice. Alan, not wanting to be left behind, follows after to attack the Velocinoid from the back row. Battle Order: Tarn Tarn Benji Benji Jeaux Heckz Alan Bors Haldor Haldor -

Bad new: I recently started playing Arkham City again which means that I'm in another mad rush to get myself some of Batman's foes. Since there are at current no rumours or predictions for any future sets, I'm terribly worried that this one wave is the last we'll get (I bloody well hope not). So, the question for you esteemed gentlemen is this: should I try and grab one of the big Batman sets before they're gone for good? At the moment I own both the Catcycle Chase and Batwing Battle sets. I've narrowed my options down to either the Funhouse or Batmobile sets, but I'm not sure which one is the best, or whether I should get any of them at all. Although his set looks rather interesting, Two-Face brings an additiona £10 into the mix, but is it worth it? Does the Funhouse have nice enough figures and expansion potential? Please help me out here, folks!

"Well then, let's get to it!" Haldor sprints off towards the direction of the screams. -

"Benji's right, we can't afford to separate when all manner of nasty buggers could be sneaking around. But before we going running off to check the screaming, perhaps Carvenhall could search the area for footprints or tracks around the area - I believe that is a skill you're familiar with? That way we'll know if something's been here recently and whether we have to watch our backs." Haldor prepares himself to charge off into the bush in search of the screaming victim, but only after Benji has had a look around. -
