  1. Yup. As we know, you are extremely versed when it comes to Star Trek. To be honest I don't know. The shield skill is very beneficial and self-orientated in theory, but in practice I doubt many parties will allow its use without afterwards sharing the loot. Perhaps it would help in a situation in which a Black Knight manages to loot and then flee from a tough enemy safely - but that's as far as I can imagine. It's difficult to play a selfish game to that degree without complaints. Ha ha ha! Almost bang on! I'm actually pretty disturbed that you managed to translate it.
  2. I think Scuba's opinion is fair enough actually. Sure, they have a shield skill that lets them take loot; but for me that doesn't give them dispensation to steal and horde all the good items. If I were faced with a Black Knight in my party who repeatedly targetted the foe with the best loot in order to keep it for themself, and then refused to share anything on account of 'Hey, It's my job trait'; I'd be thinking twice about throwing them assistance any time soon. Teamwork is what it's all about, right? Because in truth, nobody could force Haldor to heal anyone other than himself - but if he didn't do it then I guarantee I'd have every player in this community raining down around my ears for it. Folks have got to play fair. QaStaHvIS latlh De' tlhIngan je jatlh!
  3. I don't know. I found them pretty useful for working as a team in #53. This is a serious point, though, slapping immunities on an enemy shouldn't become the normal course of action when faced with a scroll mage. Negating their entire strategy - is that not a tad unfair? I doubt a QM would ever add something such as 'Ignores Aura' or 'Cannot be stolen from' to a foe. Thoughts?
  4. I think we need a MS Paint drawing of that to be posted in this thread right now.
  5. Keeps on getting better!
  6. #I would have to agree with that. Wood is good as Frodo, that much is true, but it is impossible for me to see him playing a character with a vaguely different personality. Nothing against the man, he just doesn't have much ability beyond what you've described in that last bit. Yup, that's accurate. It takes a real man from Sheffield actor to pull of the sheer number of fatalities he has achieved. Shhh.
  7. I believe that this post answers your question quite well, although perhaps it is a little out of date.
  8. But, come on... It was free XP for not getting caught and executed. Not getting caught and executed + free XP = Win/WIn.
  9. No, Nyx is probably the mysterious night action figure that can't be identified.
  10. The free hit would just be negated.
  11. Flipz is half right. Hide just avoids damage, whereas Special Dodge passes it on to the next ally.
  12. I see. You sir have got yourself some ridiculously overpowered artefacts - I hope you're happy.
  13. How did you work that out? You have 60 HP, and 20 something SP. So... 328/2=164 164-20-something = 140-something. To my logic, Docken is still very much not invincible. EDIT: Okay, Docken's mail takes the free hit down to 70, still leaving him dead. I don't think that's a good idea. A battle's a battle, after all.
  14. I want Haldor to quest with Karie at some point, I'm sure that it would be very enjoyable. Karie's personality just makes me want to read every quest she takes part it.
  15. That is a beautiful sentence. Perhaps Haldor could come along and initiate scum flailing when a strange man named 'Def' starts pissing him off.
  16. I understand that the classes can be played in a myriad of different ways, but regulator is a class entirely designed for melee fighting which doesn't fit Arthur to any degree; and I can't see how Flipz could roleplay that change.
  17. Chi Monk would make a brilliant roleplay choice if you can get the reputation. I'd have to disagree on this one. Arthur transforming from a fully-fledged spell-slinger into a close-range fighter with no contact to the ether whatsoever doesn't make sense to me.
  18. "Because of the witch's actions with chaos, the barriers between the spirit world and that of men started to break down. Things called spires started popping up all over the place, and it was up to us to close as many as we could to stop any more beasts coming over from the other plane. In the end, we tracked her to the underground temple - had to force our way through the floor - and end her vile schemes. She was trying to drag a demon from beyond into the body of a mortal man in order to steal its power. Ultimately, we killed her and closed up the ruins for good. It was a dark time, the very darkest."
  19. "Really, you've heard of me? That's very sweet of you to mention, darling. But aye, I've had my fair share of adventures since arriving in Uland. Stopped a mad mage, saved the world, helped a rebellion, made a girl pregnant - that wasn't on purpose - amongst other things. As you can probably tell by my accent, I'm not from around here. Where do you hail from, lad?"
  20. "So you got some kind of club running down here? Interesting, this your table?" Haldor grins, keeping his boots firmly planted on it. "Ah, so you're part of the group that went there first? I see. I think you misunderstand though, I was in the party that hacked our way there through the hall floor on Grogmas night; to halt the witch Wren in her quest to become something ungodly. But yeah, some weird stuff was going on even then. It's a horrible place, I'd die happy never having to set eyes on that temple again."
  21. And lots of other assorted rubbish!

    1. Dannylonglegs

      Dannylonglegs

At least it's sorted. My rubbish is all jumbled up.

Depends, but generally I feel safer in the knowledge that my rubbish is at the least where I left it.

  22. "Nice..." Haldor laughed. "I won't pretend to know what Moon Elves are or why them being lost is a big thing, but that sounds interesting enough. Me, well I've just come back from hunting some dirty great lizards off some island; pretty simple, but a couple of the lizards were really, really big. Before that, I was part of the group that hunted down and put an end to the schemes of Lady Wren, don't know if you heard of that or not. Turns out there was a nasty old temple of the archdemon Zoot underneath this very hall. Part of me reckons that wasn't the last we'll see of him."
  23. Haldor quietly accepts his items back from Heckz, not wishing to make it too obvious that he knew the man. Afterwards, the nord turns his attention back to the two knights sitting around the table. "Likewise, Alexandre and you other bloke. Didn't catch your name. So, what kind of stuff you been up to lately?" Haldor gestures towards Brickington. "You new here? Haven't seen you before in these parts."
  24. Haldor swaggered into back into the hall, a cheery smile on his lips and a mug of ale in one hand. The nord needed some time to relax, and a place to sit down. He spied a large round table set near the centre of the hall with some familiar and some strange faces sat around it; immediately Haldor moved over to take a seat, helping himself to a half-drunk tankard that someone had left there on his way. "Oya, fine gentlemen. Lovely table you got here. Sarge, it's been a little while, good to see you. Mind if I...?" The norseman plants his heavy boots heavily on the table and leans back in his chair, not waiting for an answer. "Sarge's a solid chap, but I don't know the rest of you. Care to introduce yourselves? Name's Haldor, by the way."
