  1. "Oi, don't think you're keeping that metal rod of mine master Brutenhal!" Haldor calls cheerfully after the mage.
  2. Thank you for the quest, CJP, it certainly was refreshing to tackle something (relatively) simple after Haldor's previous exploits.
  3. "Aye, no problems. Hope to see you again some other time, we could share a drink." Haldor claps the men on the back one by one heartily, and with a final wave, turns to walk away from the group.
  4. Ha ha ha! Those are brilliant. I especially like the Martian Gentleman Hunter, he looks so beautiful!
  5. Yeah, the show was pretty awesome. Jimmy Page's riffs were particularly potent, I remember. Led Zep is one of the few bands I know in which every member is one of the best in the world at what they play. No, I believe they managed one final tour in 1980, a couple of months before Bonham's death. Knebworth wasn't part of a tour, although, it was just a one-off event.
  6. Haldor breathes deeply, at last bringing himself to a state of calm. "Yeah... Benji, I'm fine. Just the old family heirloom showing its ugly face again, nothing that won't pass." After a few moments silence, the nord stands upright and looks visibly better. "You've all been solid gentlemen this quest, that I commend you for. We've had some pretty hairy fights today, I couldn't have chosen a better crowd to fight them with. I won't pretend to know anything about these creatures or where they came from, but the buggers don't half bite hard. Now, Alan, Bors and Carson; that's a job done then, right?" Loot! Benji - Mead, Potion, Bone, 14 gold (From Alan) Haldor - Smelling Salts, Sickle Claw Knife, 14 gold (From Alan) Heckz - Nostrum, Ether Core, Grand Tonic, 14 gold (From Alan) Jeaux - Smelling Salts, Health Core, Bone, 14 gold (From Alan) Tarn - Potion, Mead, Bone, 15 gold (From Alan) Are we doing the grunts' weapons and inventories as well?
  7. Okay, I'm finally going to get around to that post now! Aren't you all lucky people?
  8. I'm home now, but last night some crazy stuff went down and I ended up getting home pretty late. There was a cow and some painting involved.
  9. To those on Quest #67; I have read the topic, but will not be posting until I return home later tonight. In the words of Mr. Arnold, 'Hold onto your butts!"
  10. I like the idea of Heroica clubs very much, I hope to see more of this group in practice.
  11. "Tarn, you better take care of this... it's safer that way." Haldor had difficulty forcing his words out, but he had managed at the least to give some brief orders. "No-one... do anything." Battle Order: Tarn Tarn et all...
  12. "Ye-yeah. That... that could work. I'll hit the lizard, if the thing can survive it." Haldor visibly trembled as he spoke, the blood pumping in his ears made anything other than combat almost impossibly, as it had done to his ancestors for thousands of years. Suggested Battle Order: Benji - Attacking Benji - Attacking only if enemy health above max hit Haldor - Attacking only if enemy health above max hit Haldor - Attacking only if enemy health above max hit Tarn - Attacking only if enemy health above max hit Tarn - Attacking only if enemy health above max hit Jeaux - Attacking only if enemy health above max hit Carson - nothing Alan - nothing Bors - nothing
  13. You saw Bowie! How was he? Although, as a massive fan I kind of lost interest in his new material after Let's Dance up until end of the 90s - the stuff just wasn't the same quality in my opinion. Just listening to Ziggy and then following it up with Tonight - it hardly seems like the same person to me. Haven't listened to that album (Earthling) an awful lot, nor am I a fan of the genre in general. I'd like to know what it sounded like, if you wouldn't mind sharing. Anyhow, what sort of tracks did he do (If you can remember) - were they all from that period or did he perform some of his earlier hits?
  14. Haldor roared like a feral beast as he raised the lizard's severed head high and tossed it down it a nearby ditch. The violent kill was enough to set his nordic berserker blood pounding, and it took every ounce of the norseman's willpower to calm down enough to talk of a plan. Clothes and red hair caked in blood, Haldor turns towards the party. "W-we have to keep this one living if we can. D-don't all attack, else we'll kill it. Let... let me handle him if you will." Battle Order suggestions: Benji - Nothing, taking free hits Haldor - Attacking Haldor - Attacking et all - nothing.
  15. Haldor winces as Heckz falls, but remains determined to finish off the fight. "Now's time that we better be making plans. Since you all seem to hate him so much, I guess the second one's being killed and the first captured, fair? Hold in there, lad, won't be much longer." The nord then charges forth with Tarn to pile on Velocinoid B, twice and from the front row both of them. Alan tries to keep calm. Battle Order: Benji Benji Tarn Tarn Jeaux Alan Bors Carson Haldor Haldor
  16. Wait, what year was this? I was there too last year! Sorry to go off topic.
  17. The set arrived today, and I must say, it is truly outstanding. My first priorities are to try and do something with the area behind Riddler's box and start planning some additional rooms.
  18. I'm actually one of the lucky few who managed to grab tickets for 10,810 BC's show of Ug And The Cavemen Bashing Sticks On Rocks Live At The Cave.
  19. This is actually pretty true. Ether classes get all the women folks, not the rogues! Nor the knights. Just compare the track record of Haldor - a healer who's got an awful lot of 'healing' done so far - with, say, Leo - a manly man's knight who spent most of his career hearing the word no. All the nice girls love a bloke who can do magic things with special energy, true story. And, you never know what will happen with Haldor's theatre trip. Could prove to be... eventful. Goodbye, Lord. We'll try to limit the damage to three major plot points ruined while you're gone, okay?
  20. Sums up everything beautifully about the Doctor Who Pandorica arc... Bloody paradoxes messing with my head.
  21. Haldor staggers backward, blood pooling from beneath his chestplates of armour. He looks around at his group of comrades, relieved to see that they're faring mostly better than him. "You all... you keep going. I'm fine." The nord spits blood onto the thick grass, but soon begins making an effort to heal himself. If he is successful on the first attempt, Haldor will attack Velocinoid B with his other energy. If not, he'll give it another go. Battle Order: Benji Benji Tarn Haldor Tarn Heckz Alan Bors Carson Jeaux Haldor
  22. "People assume that time is a strict progression of cause to effect, but actually it forms a non-linear, non-subjective viewpoint - it's more like a big ball of wibbly wobbly, timey wimey... stuff."
  23. Just checked and you appear to be very much right.
  24. 'They'? I have a name you know. The polybag I'm referring to is the Iron Man vs Combat Drone, which I believe includes the Heartbreaker suit.
  25. I was lucky enough to grab tickets to see the amazing Led Zeppelin in Knebworth 1979 - still ranks as one of the best nights of my life thus far. I would have loved to see Pink Floyd here in their home country some time in the 70s, but I was largely unsuccessful. Same with David Bowie, who is one of my favourite artists of all time. I came close to seeing 'the Dame' on his Stage tour in 1978, but was unable to get tickets, something I kick myself for to this day. In more recent history, I missed the Stones at the O2 not too long ago, but I'm holding out for some further shows in the future. I would nigh-on kill for a final Bowie tour in England before he sets his 'No live show' policy in stone, as I loved the new album and am pretty sure that he could still handle it. David wrote the soundtrack to my life (just look at my avatar), yet I regret never having seen him in person. However the fact that nothing has been said at all about a tour makes one turning up seem unlikely.
