Heroica RPG - Quest #80: Sic Semper Tyrannis
Scorpiox replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Meh, there's not much special worth haggling for... we might as well move on. Any objections?" "Thank you anyway, mister." He adds. If his team-mates are happy to play along, Haldor will lead them away from the stall to check out the rest of the street. -
Oh, I see that I should probably have been annotating these.

Heroica RPG - Quest #80: Sic Semper Tyrannis
Scorpiox replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Afternoon, mate. Fancy showing us what you've got for sale?" -
Yeah! That means that we can do any kind of ridiculous rubbish and have it part of the official Heroica backstory!

Quest #19 Quest #53 Quest #38 Quest #39 Quest #28 Quest #6 Quest #12 Quest #67 Would anyone disagree with me? From an outside point of view, do you think that certain quests had greater impacts other than how I have listed them?

Just check out the parent forum, it's what we were mixed in with before Draggy granted us our own domain. If it is... I know exactly who my character will turn out to be!

Looks pretty grey to me.

Heroica RPG - Quest #80: Sic Semper Tyrannis
Scorpiox replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
Haldor smiles. "Any chance that I can meet the lass? I'd like to... you know, see if she's alright. I'd hate to think that we arrived too late and she's in any kind of trouble." He stops briefly. "Thank you, Antony, you've helped us out a great deal." The nord then speaks to the other heroes together. "Romulus has it right, I reckon. We should scout out the rest of the town before we decide what to do. Anybody got the time? Depending on how late it is, we may need to turn in for the night at the inn." -

Scorpiox replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
"Ha ha! Too bloody right, Romulus, we certainly showed those bastards who makes the wisecracks in this town. Now that they're out of the way, I reckon we ought to go check if that lovely girl's doing all right. None of us know how badly she's hurt, or whether she has a home to go to. Mizuki, Xander, d'you think you can try tracking the lass down?" Loot! Mizuki - Knife, 24 gold Romulus - Potion, 24 gold Haldor - 31 gold Xander - Venom, 24 gold -
REVIEW: 75015 Corporate Alliance Tank Droid
Scorpiox replied to Ritz Brick's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Yeah, I'm with you on that one. As an owner of the classic-style Boba Fett and the new one, I can't deny that the more recent design is vastly superior and more detailed... but there's just something about the square head that appeals to me so much. The shape feels much more in-place in a LEGO universe. The aesthetic of the old look just screams to me "yes, I am less accurate and much more simplistic, but that's alright. I'm supposed to look friendly and LEGO-ish, not just like a shrunk-down Hasbro action-figure!" Detail is nice, but not so much that the minifigure becomes an exact replica of the real thing and loses its charm. If LEGO were to release a one-off Boba Fett character feature the old design but with separate helmet and jetpack (and printed visor), I'd snap it up before anyone could say 'progress'. -
That's brilliant, I love how you've kept much of the official set's design whilst creating something that fits-in with the scale of other vehicles.

Heroica RPG - Quest #80: Sic Semper Tyrannis

"Let's wrap this fight up, we've got things to do." Haldor resumes his assault on the villager from the front row. Same order. -
[SoNE Free Build] An ounce of prevention

The aesthetic is so smooth and sleek... I like it very much. The protruding window and how you attached it especially attracts my eye. -

You've been forgetting my +4 power bonus, CaptainJohnPaul. Haldor roars with satisfaction as the most offensively arrogant rogue falls. "Still think you've got yourselves a chance? You should have listened to me more closely, mates. Did you forget? We're mercenaries, we kill people." The nord continues his beating of the villager from the front row. Battle Order: Romulus Mizuki Xander Haldor Order will remain the same unless something bad happens. -

That automaton is excellent. I see that you used the faceplate-less War-Machine helmet, correct? -
That's really what I was trying to say in my post.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DTIAiMeyd7Q This is one of my favourite love songs of all time, partly because it conveys the emotions of a man smitten so accurately but whilst managing to not sound anything like the Godawful re-cycled pop love songs that swamp the radiowaves these days. It's also why this 1976 album is so utterly brilliant in my eyes; Station to Station is all about quality over quantity. Yes, there are only six songs, but each one is worthy of 'bloody amazing' status individually. I think of it as my insulation from the complete inverse that is modern chart mediocrity.

Because in Post-Tolkein literature that's how they are most commonly portrayed. It's not a rule... merely an accepted guideline. But that doesn't mean we can mess around with it. I imagine certain types of elves living in different areas and habitats having developed different characteristics; I.e the Brobic sort being a kind of 'high-elf' with great height, light hair, pointy ears and a hairless face; the ones played by a fair number of heroes based on a 'wood elf' design, sporting darker hair, being shorter and more squat than others .etc

Heroica RPG - Quest #80: Sic Semper Tyrannis
Scorpiox replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
Haldor turns his face back towards the villager the blow. He only appears to be more angry than before. "Is that all you've got? Come on! Hit me again! You better start swinging like a man or things are going to end up pear-shaped for you and your little friends." The Nord resumes his heavy swinging of the two sceptres. He aims to hit the villager whilst standing in the front row. -
Whatever, your goons aren't going to be around much longer to revel in their stupidity. On your second note: One in the UK would never call a female a 'guy', but a group of 'guys' can include females; If that makes sense. Think of it a bit like the French collective nouns Ils/Elles. And no, a woman is never, never 'Sir'. A 'sir' is always a man in a higher position than oneself or one who has been knighted by Her Majesty. The female version of the authoritative figure is 'Ma'am', the knight a 'Dame'.
