  1. That's exactly what I had in mind. For the most part, the Norse gods are (often more barbaric) variations from the traditional Eubric deities.
  2. Haldor grits his teeth. "Well then, I guess some of us will have to count for two people. Or we could even the odds." The burly norseman rushes towards Spartucii, whirling his axe around his head. "Comm'ere, I'm gonna rip your bloody head off!"The shaman can feel the berserker blood beginning to pump, loud and hot in his ears. Feeling its master's growing rage and loss of control, Zoot er Isen roars in silent bloodlust as it swings hard towards the gladiator Spartucii, from the front row! Battle Order: Xander Romulus Mizuki Haldor
  3. Khorne hasn't really said anything about him to me, so I only have an idea of what I read from his in-character post. If he doesn't return in too long then I guess I'll have to come up with his look and feel by myself. We were, however, working on a Loki-esque trickster god, so hopefully that will follow at some point.
  4. You'll have to thank Khorne for the drawings, I only suggested designs and co-wrote the articles.
  5. As Byblos is rifling through his cabinets in search of that secret stray banana, he notices an old tome lying moth-eaten under a pile of maps. It contains documents pertaining to Vartland and the gods of the north:
  6. Woah, those are some nice parts combinations, Sandy! Although I am sure as to who this is. In a similar vein, Khorne and I completed biographies of the four main Nordic deities, which are currently residing in a long PM-chain. Seeing as he is inactive in Heroica and has been for a while, would anyone be interested in me posting these information texts (with awesome drawings courtesy of Khorne) to be used in the library?
  7. "Eh... we'll see about that. Take us to the floor, Aurellius."
  8. I hope not... unless the Alfred we're getting is the complete inverse of every one that came before.
  9. "So it's the four of us pitted against another group of folks in this arena? What kind of rules are there we ought to know about?"
  10. "That'd be great, Aurellius, I'm eager to get going."
  11. And Haldor's twin...
  12. "Aye, we do. Care to explain how this thing works?"
  13. Don't forget that Zepher often makes the 'crap' too.
  14. "Damn straight. But it would still be wise ta' watch out for bandwagonin' bastards. If a coupla' good guys declare an attack on a bad guy, there's nothin' ta' say another bad guy couldn't jump on at tha' last minute when his buddy is damned ta' try and look 'cleared'. I'm not sayin't such a thing wouldn't be obvious... but caution is always a good thing in these situations." "Thank tha' gods... I say we be wary of anyone tryin' ta' buy a level-up mushroom any time soon (I can say it out loud now that I know it won't work), though."
  15. "The only reason I can see on of our good guys tryin' ta' kill durin' tha' night is that he has a hunch - but not enough evidence or reasonin' ta' do so durin' tha' day. Tha' last thin' we want is people lashin' out mistakenly and without true justification, so perhaps ya' plan works in that respect too. And don't forget, I don't think any one would be jumpin' on a killer if it turned out they managed ta' nail a Nephilim." He speaks quietly. "There is one pretty big way 'round this that I can think of for tha' Nephilim ta' try... but I won't say it out loud 'case they haven't thought of it. I will ask a question, though: is it possible for someone ta' purchase items durin' tha' night?" Skrupp looks a tad worried.
  16. "That's a pretty good idea, for one of ya' kind. If any of us turn up dead tomorrow, and others have made themselves stronger, it'll be pretty obvious who tha' killers are. After ya' havin' said this, I doubt they'll be makin' many attempts tonight at risk of exposin' themselves... but at least ya' will have decreased tha' chance of 'em tryin' ta' take one of us out."
  17. "Retak... if ya' are gonna do somethin', ya' better do it now!"
  18. "I ain't defendin' tha' greenskin, but I'd like ta' highlight this point. Cappricia darlin' has only factored into her thought-process one real idea - that Kob MUST be a Nephilim. Havin' such certainty so early on is very suspicious indeed, as before any actions can take place tha' only folks who are certain about other's affiliations are tha' bastards themselves. We could interpret this in a coupla' ways:" "One - That Cappricia is so quick ta' jump on tha' exectution 'cause she is a Nephilim git tryin' ta' stir up trouble and make us kill each other. Disorder is tha' greatest weapon after all. If she would be able ta' push an argument that extra mile and cause a fight, even better for her." "Two - Cappricia is a nice-enough hero nervous about seemin' unhelpful, and so has jumped on a reasonably convincin' argument and furthered it in one direction, aimin' for others ta' see her as a vocal and useful presence. She wants ta' be seen havin' done some brain-work, correct or otherwise. Well... I'm already sure that's she's vocal in one way or another, but erm, not in the sense that I was talkin' about. He he." "Ya' can all make up ya' own minds about this one, I'd like ta' see how she responds ta' these accusations before I make my judgements."
  19. Skrupp laughs. "All I was doin' was stoppin' yer before ya' revealed too much - go and jog yer memory (re-read) if ya' don't believe me. I say we'll know who ta' trust conclusively when tha' first glass results come in. And if I'm 'squirmin', then ev'ry other bugger here must be lyin' down cryin', 'cause the only one who seems ta' find my obvious actions suspicious is ya'. If ya' want ta' suspect me, fine, do so, at least ya' are usin' ya' brain rather than sheepin' about." "I'd just rather that ya' might have allowed some more time for others, especially tha' accused, ta' respond ta' yer words. Jumpin' ta' conclusions before he has a chance ta' explain himself is folly."
  20. "Common sense, mate. Havin' ya' reveal that ya' have a protectin' action or whatever and who ya' are usin' it on ruins tha' chance of on of tha' Nephilim wastin' there attack. We don't want ta' help 'em out in pickin' their targets. We still don't know who ta' trust yet, do we? Best ta' keep ourselves secure until we do."
  21. "Oh does it, Scamander? Now tell me, what have I been or wantin' ta' be keepin' a secret? - 'cause I don't know what ya' are talkin' about. I'm sure any one of ya' can see that all I'm doin' is tryin' ta' maintain order when others'd rather be kickin'-in heads."
  22. "Mate, ya' are not helpin' by just attackin' him, ya' realise that? If ev'ry one just acted off their own personal suspicions without a proper plan, we'd all be dead in an instant. Stop, right now. Are ya' really blind enough ta' not see tha' dangers of what ya' are doin'?"
  23. Haldor munches on his chicken drumstick before making his way slowly up the stairs, and into the rooms. "Goodnight, you sorry bunch!" He falls asleep pretty soon after.
  24. Skrupp wanders lazily back into the area where everyone is standing. "G'mornin' all, did I miss much? Eris, ya' may not be tha' prettiest girl I've ever slept with, but certainly one of tha' most... energetic." He downs a nearby ale. "Ah, glad ta' see that ya' have come ta' ya' senses. This isn't ta' mean that Luridan won't be bein' killed tonight, but if he is, it should be with tha' agreement of tha' majority. I recognise what ya' were tryin' ta' do, though, it's a plan that myself might have considered tryin'." "Apologies, my delicate friend, if we've been upsettin' ya'. We're all just nervous ta' get this over with, as soon as at least one of this group is trustable, we can start work from there."
  25. Only one more page! We are blessed!
