Heroica RPG - Quest #80: Sic Semper Tyrannis
Scorpiox replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
Haldor speaks through gritted teeth. "Well... you... gonna have to... try. If you... can't stand up... to another... shot, best... stay put." Struggling from the noise pounding in his ears, the nord makes an effort to heal Mizuki. Battle Order: Xander Haldor Mizuki Romulus -

Heroica RPG - Quest #80: Sic Semper Tyrannis
Scorpiox replied to Capt.JohnPaul's topic in The Heroica Archive
As he fought face to face with the bearded man Leofold, Haldor heard the growing noise of the crowd whip itself into a frenzy. They were chanting something, but with the berserker blood up in his eyes, the nord could scarcely understand the meaning behind the spectators' excited songs. He looks to Romulus for help, with the young werekin calling out over the din that the watchers are eager for someone to start doing some damage to the greenskin gladiator. Grudgingly, the shaman complies. It would pay to stay on the good side of the crowd, at least for now. Haldor grunts with exertion, his head aching at his attempts to think. The 'gift' that he had inherited from his ancestors was really only good for one thing. Galixyush'a the Slayer, from the front row! Battle Order: Xander Mizuki Romulus Haldor -
If you've got a witch in the party and are afraid of your monster being crippled too easily, don't create a special that has potential to do so if mirrored. That's all I can say.

That helicopter explosion detail!

I use Brickshelf... however recommending such a thing would be like telling one's friends that engine oil is pretty much the same as the olive variety for cooking chips.

That's really great, I love the combination there! My only criticism would be that jacket sleeves being the same colour as his skin detract from the aesthetic and confuse the eye. Perhaps you could consider a flesh-toned alternative?

Apart from you trying to fit the word 'roleplay' into your post as many times as possible, it makes little sense. It's really rather uninteresting if all you are willing to do in games of this type is try to be as bland as possible simply because it has become your Heroica character's gimmick. -

Nothing is stopping you playing your characters as something other than just an extension of Docken... just saying. -

To be honest I think it'd help if people stuck to their characters. Playing without roleplay and just using standard text is often close breaking down the boundaries between player and character. Personality quirks not only make things more interesting (if used appropriately) but also make clear that whatever nastiness is in-character. It's a shame, really, but this time in a game the majority of people have stopped completely. -

I'm pretty sure that if all good heroes are killed and the Nephilim are victorious, the remaining veterans will engage in some ridiculous badarsery and annihilate the remaining goons without breaking a sweat. -

Haldor roars in fury, his eyes seeing red and his teeth bared. The nord strains himself to control his actions, at least regaining enough of his humanity to pick the most appropriate target. Spartacuii from the front row. Battle Order: Xander Romulus Mizuki Haldor -

"I see... so by yer reasonin' everyone who accuses ya' is an idiot? That's nice, but unfortunately it ain't doin' wonders for yer credibility. And yeah, robbin' ya' can be of great help ta' tha' good guys by takin' useful items away from a likely bastard, like ya', and puttin' them ta' work."- 510 replies

"Did he? I must have missed that snippet. In that case. That coupled with tha' fact that I can't see someone of his activity bein' given money by folks other than their scum buddies - I'd say anyone tryin' ta' take a pot-shot wouldn't be that far out of line."- 510 replies
