  1. Zakura, that's so generous of you. I think that I ought to eat my hat after all that rogue-slamming I've done.
  2. "Thank you, Aurellius. I'm glad that they found it a laugh, I mean, it must have been damn hilarious. Like when I cracked the head of that greenskin girl in cold blood, woulda' entertained me, for sure." He adds bitterly. "We should probably find Brutus again and that that permission to walk the walls, but first I'd like to check on that girl we rescued earlier, know if she's anywhere about?"
  3. Haldor hasn't been Knocked Out since he was blown in half by Nyx's bomb.
  4. Naw, don't stop. You're like that old man in the corner with the eyebrows that calls things 'newfangled'. But seriously, we need different points of view or else everything will fall out of place. Maybe a lot of people don't understand the difference between debate and argument. :shrug_def: And don't worry, I'm a miserable old git too. Now, where's that WORLD-RESET button...
  5. That's fair enough. I know that it makes me sound like a jerk... but if there's a character that I think is annoying or poorly-written I tend to ignore them a bit. Perhaps it's similar with De'kra (not the annoying/poorly written part), because it's so difficult to try roleplaying with a character that one doesn't understand, a lot of people just don't bother.
  6. I love that Abomination, Pie, it reminds me of the Titan Goons from Arkham Asylum/City.
  7. That film's worth seeing purely for Bane's voice, it's so damn funny.
  8. The final battle of Quest #53, it was so hilarious. Definitely my favourite moment of the quest.
  9. Haldor tramped slowly, solemnly around the arena, picking up whatever scrap he found worth salvaging. Once he was done, he returned back to the group and laid it out in front of them without saying a word. He gave the vicious looking short-blades to Mizuki, who had been an unwavering source of support during the battle. The nord hitched the shield onto his own back - he couldn't use it, of course, but there might come a time that he needed to hang behind a shield, one day he might be grateful for it... Loot! Mizuki - Dual Gladii, Potion, Venom, Bone Xander - Water bomb, 120 gold Romulus - Health core, 120 gold Haldor - Scutum shield, 93 gold Once he was done, Haldor scanned around the edges of the sand-pit, trying to gauge reactions from the far-off crowd. They were too far away, but the shaman could tell that he wasn't being looked upon favourably. He spoke softly. "Come on, grab your stuff and we'll get going. I don't want to spend another minute in this godawful place. When we've cleared up here, I want to go and find that girl that we rescued earlier, 'cause I feel like it." As he walked away, Haldor turned back towards his fellow heroes. "You can do the whole "look at us, we won!" song and dance if it makes you feel good - I won't stop you."
  10. Hey, the character has a personality quirk. He's far from the only one, perhaps players ought to try to be more accommodating to different play styles.
  11. Meh, it's close enough. 2m/s makes no difference on a Jet Fighter. I'd have to agree with Pie, although. Since most of the loot in quests isn't player-specific, most parties prefer to share out loot to the weakest heroes first.
  12. No, but this time I shall be responsible for that monstrosity by giving Mizuki those daggers. It's like Alec Guiness in Bridge Over The River Kwai, he feels so much worse before he dies because he realises that it's all his fault. And neither is immunity to everything or a WP: 34 weapon, apparently. I think that Guts has outgrown his ability to be pitied by being the single most powerful hero in the game. If he got much more powerful loot it would worrying, quite frankly. :shrug_def: Haldor was here and on his second quest by the time Guts arrived, I think.
  13. Oh dear Lord... hastened Assassin with a dual-strike weapon.
  14. It has happened before, but obviously it's up to the QM whether they want to defer their quest for one or however many players.
  15. It's past 24 hours.. Romulus attacks Leofold from the front row.
  16. I imagine that you could edit your post so that your character never bought it in the first place.
  17. I'm currently in the process of re-reading all of A.A. Milne's Winnie-the-Pooh stories - they're damn good.
  18. Only if it pans out like this:
  19. Don't forget "I don't like it - it's too quiet.", or "Relax, there's nothing here."; those usually precede a bout of extremely violent slaughtering. Although in those kinds of films, the villain rarely regenerates in several phases for half of the running time (other than The Thing).
  20. Haldor steps forward to heal Romulus. Although he bitterly resented this kind of 'entertainment', he wasn't about to let his friends die on him. Battle Order: Xander Mizuki Haldor Romulus
  21. Admittedly, I don't know who most of these people are (musical snob/dinosaur), but I like the combination used for Eminem.
  22. The Ring: Pretty confusing, I had to have a lengthy conversation afterwards before I was content that I understood it. Anyhow, I very much enjoyed it and thought it to be atmospheric and creepy. Not for the faint-hearted, definitely. However, there were one or more things that confused me.
  23. As opposed to the word hilarious used lightly and inaccurately.
  24. I don't normally venture into this kind of music, but this song is excellent.
  25. Whew, now that's off Haldor's chest. Sorry, but I really couldn't resist.
