  1. Yeah, I also found the abundance of people made it difficult to properly appreciate the displays. The shops, as usual, were nice. It took a while to move my way through, but I was able to get my hands on my first-ever BrickArms weapons.
  2. Haldor coughs. "Hey, missy. What's your name? I was meaning to ask me, but then we had to beat up those thugs... Anyway, name's Haldor. These are my friends, Romulus, Xander and Mizuki. Solid, dependable folks. You had run-ins with that kind of crowd before? I know those kind of people, talk tough, push people around, but when some bloke stands up to them, they're hardly much of a fight. We've been around town trying to clear-up groups of that sort. D'you happen to know much about them?" The nord checks himself. "But that hardly matters, just the usual stuff we can worry about later. The important thing now is making sure that you are alright. Are you hurt, did those thick gits get to you? I'd like to see you well. But first, I'd love to know what they call you by."
  3. Which is your favourite/which do you think is the best?
  4. WIN! Now you can call yourself a genius. My final (until I change my mind), I'd rather not see the strategy at all, to be honest. The gloves should be used as something to augment tanking, not as a cheap way to win battle.s I don't think this is a good idea. What about boss mega-hits? The gloves don't need changing any more, really.
  5. I'm afraid that standard solo-monsters get mashed-up quickly unless you're willing to give something extra.
  6. Meh. We can argue this until the cows come home - this game will never be truly balanced. In my view, Passive Specials are the best option for trying to limit this strategy's usage. Is arguing this worth my time? I think not.
  7. "Did you? We won, killed the others, let me put it that way." Haldor's stern expression softens. "We rescued a girl from a group of thugs earlier, I was wondering if she's anywhere abouts."
  8. Uhm, no.
  9. And this is a reason to become angry over... why? That's a bit strong, don't you agree? Life Lesson (Zepher gives them, why not I?): People have different world views. Do I have your permission to respond to your points?
  10. They can only step-in and defend the weak if their defence is low enough.
  11. Today, I visited Swindon's STEAM museum to view the Great Western LEGO Show that is running this weekend. Were any other members there? Did any of you have displays?
  12. I'm reluctant to accept this. Heroes having to consider whether or not they are too powerful is a bad thing. What will happen with this update is that all of the back-row tanks will become useless and the squishy mages will end up taking all of the hits.
  13. I'm still not in favour of the time-limit consumables, largely because of the way that such a rule would affect some classes more heavily than others.
  14. My view in short: changing enemies to avoid this strategy (if necessary) is the way to go, not changing effects. Also, how does limiting effects prevent this strategy? Players don't need buffs to do this, as far as I can see.
  15. It's a clue to Haldor's future class choice. (Hint hint: the axe is a weapon essentially made of dark magic, it isn't likely to respond well if Haldor were to pick a semi light-orientated skill-set.) I did no such thing! And anyway, how would you know what underwear Haldor is wearing from that picture?! /USvsUKEnglish pun. I keep forgetting that Tesni also uses those trousers, but the fit so darn well with the figure, I had to use them.
  16. I've decided that Haldor is in dire need of some new pictures, so here they are. In this image, he decided to put his hood up and wear some better scale-mail trousers. Featuring all-three of Haldor's equipped artefacts! Zepher would be proud. What do you think of this moderately new look? - I'd love to hear.
  17. In that case, how will the limiting of consumables prevent this strategy in any way, shape or form? A knight doesn't need buffs to counterstrike, so therefore, what purpose would this global-nerf serve? The expiration dates for consumables isn't the solution to a completely different problem, so I fail to see how it will change anything here. And for the record: if something can be found to protect bosses but not other enemies from this strategy - I say do it. If this issue cannot be solved, damage limitation is likely the best policy. A couple of these could work for a number of enemies.
  18. Would a hero be able to counterstrike the enemy's counterstrike to the counterstrike?
  19. Perhaps, as Flipz suggested, start giving boss monsters some anti-counter-striking Passive Specials. Something along the lines of this, maybe? Passive Special: Free Hits target a random hero, not necessarily the first in the battle-order. Passive Special: If untargetted, the monster will regenerate X amount of health. Passive Special: If untargetted, the monster will raise its power level by one. Passive Special: If untargetted, the monster will spawn a minion. Passive Special: Free Hits ignore SP and/or row. Personally, I think that something along the lines of those would be more effective than just weakening consumables.
  20. Not starfish - maybe Benji is a Were-one-of-those.
  21. In that case, there's really nothing to stop two heroes endlessly passing a pint between themselves while they counterstrike something to death.
  22. Consumables are often a trade-off with getting new equipment for non-gold-farming classes, and so are most commonly used by those classes in difficult battles. Difficult battles are rarely short - therefore with this rule it's likely that non-rogue classes wouldn't get their money's worth. This is a rule that I can see implemented to try and manage buffed-up raiders and assassins, but unfortunately would probably affect other classes more noticeably.
  23. I would say no, but that's just me.
  24. Just some quick questions for future class choices: What piece did you have in mind when you created the Scutum Shield, CJP? Whomever created the Scarlet Hood, is it restricted to certain classes? The more astute of you can probably work out where I'm going with this.
  25. Haldor is holds his hands up gratefully. "That's... that's pretty damn kind of you, Mizuki. You get yourself first-go at any further junk we find, yeah? You've fought just as hard as anyone else, 'cept you're giving stuff away. I can only thank you for that. Help yourself to any of my potions you like, I hardly make use of them." He then turns back to Aurellius. "In that case, we'll head back to the Vigilum, see what we can find."
