The LEGO Batman Movie Set/CMF Rumors & Discussion
Brick Dangerous replied to Sir Gareth's topic in LEGO Licensed
Oh, but it does, insofar as it portrays the general public as having an ignorant attitude towards the original and instead being more interested in knockoffs. The offensive part being that it is not a joke on the expense of Lepin but on the expense of the chinese audience in general. I thought that was fairly obvious. This just to nitpick, I have no skin in this game and genuinely found it funny. -
It does indeed seem to be the case, as Zusammengebaut reported on it independently: http://zusammengebaut.com/lego-minifiguren-sammelserie-71018-17-serie-macht-sich-rar-22591/

Slightly offensive and quite funny at the same time! -
Including one, sure. But why make the Highwayman the special figure? It made sense with Mr. Gold, but take a Highwayman of all things and make it the rare minifig to search for or whatever? To me, it feels like something just doesn't add up. But I guess we'll see in time.

My thoughts as well. Just seems so ... arbitrary.

We are still talking about the Lobo whose name translates to "he who devours your entrails and thoroughly enjoys it", right? The same Lobo who killed Santa Claus? Who would be next then? Judge Dredd? Sláine? Punisher? Preacher's Cassidy? ;) So yeah, I guess I'd be willing to bet on it. Hmm, unless you know something ... But I guess this isn't the right thread for this kind of speculation, since we know he won't be a Series 17 CMF, at least. ;)

Cool. For a second there, I really thought it was our mystery figure. Exactly. Haha, a Lego Lobo would be nice, but that is definitely something we will never see. At least not as an official set ...

Pardon me, but that wouldn't be a Highwayman in your avatar? If yes, it seems like it has kids' legs? Edit: Upon closer inspection, it was probably just a matter of perspective.

Either works, Günzburg being pretty much smack dab in the middle of them, but I'd definitely recommend Munich, as it's just the more exciting city -- sorry to all Stuttgarters. (Then again, I'm biased, since I live in M.) -

You should change your name to "Nitpicker89"! Sorry, just trying to be cute, but the truth is that I can actually out-nitpick you: Let it be known that the name of this set be "71040 Disney Castle" with no article whatsoever. Ha! Curious to see how anyone will improve on that.

Also, with a second set those poor kids can finally *start* playing soccer.

I for one liked the riddles (and riddles in general), I view them more in a sportively challenging kind of way, but that's prolly just due to me being an extremely smart person.
