  1. Thanks, found 'em! A little disappointed with the "tree" figure. Actually, it's not even a tree, but a log. I was imagining something like a walking Christmas tree. Something, well, green.
  2. Then again, wouldn't it be a shame if it was anything smaller than that?
  3. Wouldn't it be more likely that this rumour originated in last year's WV set (which happened to be a train)?
  4. Expecting your updates at 3 and 4 o'clock ...
  5. Yeah, that's it. I wouldn't expect too much in way of vehicles though. If the set is "only" 80 Euros, they won't include much more than the main build and a couple of minifigs, and we got the train last year, so I guess this is mostly a follow-up to that set.
  6. The Duplo Orca was just used as reference; so, the new one we get will be about the same size as the existing Duplo one.
  7. I think modular means (or can also mean) that the house itself consists of multiple modular sections that are independent of each other and can be separated to give you access to the insides for example.
  8. To be fair, that was not a reveal on Promobricks, but merely a guess. All we know is that two sets will be available for VIP access then, one of which is believed to be the new MF and the other one *might* be the 2017 WV set.
  9. Consider me timbers shivered. I still think it's a bit hypocritical though. I'm always for over-the-top gratuitous violence, mind you, but what about TLG's core values? Now I want my Moe's Tavern too, damn it!
  10. Hi, has anyone seen the Battle Pods in Germany or Italy?
  11. It's called taste. Many adults have it in spades. You can also call it an opinion if you prefer that.
  12. Perhaps they'll be bigger, like in two lion statues guarding the entrance or something. Just a guess though.
  13. They just can't do it anymore after I've threatened to bring Legosutra down on them. Sorry to have ruined it for you. ;)
  14. It won't, because people (e.g. me) would connect the figures in inappropriate ways. Lots of inappropriate ways.
  15. TBB had a box, and the Highwaymen were all the same. Of course, the distribution of the variants could be fewer than 1 per box, but I'm quite sure that what we see here is what we get, and there's not much more to it.
  16. Hey, I appreciate that. It was genuinely not meant that way and would be unfortunate if it came across as such. I guess a lot of it does indeed come down to cultural differences. English is not my mother tongue, and where I come from, we're usually a bit more blunt. Again, no offense intended to anyone. If I wanted to insult someone, I would use different words, but I seldomly feel the need to do so in my personal life. Work, now that's a different story. ;)
  17. All black with just a question mark on the chest.
  18. I just reread my post, and I can't for the life of me figure out what about it might be viewed as "off-putting" or "insulting". I call it balanced criticism. I just gave a data point and illustrated my honest impression, for what it's worth; don't see whatever might be the problem with that. So you have different taste, okay, makes the world a colorful place. Wouldn't things be boring if we all had the same taste? Also, this ;) is not an interpunctational accident, it's meant to be a winkey smiley thingie indicating humor. Seems like WhiteFang is the only one who understood, which is all that matters for me since he was the one my post was directed at, and I guess we're good. Thanks, WhiteFang. Glad you took it as fair criticism, and respect your stance as well. Again, your passion is most inspiring, and taste is a very subjective thing. As I said before, carry on!
  19. Since you asked for honest feedback: I'm not the biggest fan of this review style; I find it too verbose, not concise/factual enough, and most of all much too ceremonious for my taste. It's a toy review, not the Oscars. ;) I also could well do without the little scenes you arrange. They're somewhat hit or miss for me, ranging from mildly amusing to just cringeworthy. It's apparent that you love doing them, and I appreciate that, I just don't know if a review is the right place for this sort of thing. I personally prefer the TBB/Eurobricks style of review, where fun has its place, but the reviewers focus more on the figures themselves, whereas your reviews seem more preoccupied with themselves/yourself and the reviewing process. On the other hand, it's plain to see how much you enjoy doing this, and I like your enthusiasm. Judging from others' posts, I seem to be in the neglectable minority anyway, so it might be best to just carry on, my bickering notwithstanding. I just wanted to say that for some readers coming here for the info, less might be more. But then again, we have those other sources to fall back upon, and diversity is probably a good thing.
