My inner child tells me that it will not be my last train ;)

I may get addicted regardless of choice ;) One thing I hate about 7939 are those "flex tracks" - wow, those are ugly and unrealistic.

It looks nice but it's way over my budget. Decision is: 7939

Blue one is $257 here, yellow - $180. I think I will give yellow a try - unless I find maersk in a decent price ;) Red? Which set is that? :)

Thank you very much for replies! I have quite a lot actually - but for a start I would like to get a set instead of just individual parts. But isn't HE close to retiring? I think that my budget will only handle one train for next couple of months. This is the second family I am joining this month - the other one is modular buildings. I now have this idea of creating nice railway station out of the sets I have - that is why I need a train :) (also - every man needs a train or two... :P) Ok - so let it be cargo train - but which one is better? I know it is hard to define "better" - that's why I ask for subjective opinions. I would buy both Emerald Night and Maersk if they were still available in reasonable prices... HE is not even close to those two :(

Hello! I would like to get into trains but I can't decide which train should I pick. I would really appreciate if you could help me make a right choice. I have chosen 3 to limit the options: 1. 7939 + cheaper than 60052 + fully equipped (tracks, PF etc.) - looks 2. 60052 + looks + fully equipped (tracks, PF etc.) - more expensive than the rest 3. 10233 + looks!! + cheaper than the other 2 - no tracks - no PF It is a tough choice. Getting PF is not so hard, as I already have the remote so I would just need to get the motor (and SBrick will be shipped soon ) but tracks are bigger problem. What are your thoughts? Which one would you choose if you could only choose one?

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion
peter_m replied to The Jersey Brick Guy's topic in LEGO Town
Modular buildings' series is an AFOL magnet - TLG will not waste it's potential. I have this theory that they will extend the life of each new modular building (Emporium has already been 'in stock' longer than Fire Brigade) but they will keep on releasing new sets in the future. -
Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

Gosh, this is exciting :D. I just got hooked on modulars last week :) -
Well... they managed to do it with Parisian Restaurant which was even cheaper and was not an "UCS"

Thank you very much for the link Kez! Great pictures - but lack of steering in set of this size is unforgivable and makes me say no to this one. My fiancee will be happy (until she'll find out that I have bought 2 modulars instead ;) ) Also - stickers in $199+ ($275 in Polish S@H) set? Nope nope nope...
-
There are less than 2 weeks left before VIP release - why are there no reviews yet? :(
-
They are still available - at least in Polish S@H. I have heard a rumors that it is going to be a limited run - can anyone confirm that?

SBrick General Discussion

I beg to differ. Majority of kids nowadays have cell phones - and lots of them have smartphones. TLG hase already made a tiny step into mobile world with new digital instructions and e.g. Lego Fusion. I think something like SBrick by Lego would sell like hot cake :) Fortunately for SBrick guys - they were faster :)- 780 replies

To me 8110 is so popular because it offers the fullest Technic experience: - it comes with big number and great variety of parts (good collection base/expansion) - it has pneumatics in decent amount - it has Power Functions - it has working suspension - it has a great MODing potential - it is both a great display model (awesome aesthetics!) and playable toy What is more - it is still available in decent price, so people are more likely to recommend it than 8258 or 8043, which are - while also great or even greater than 8110 - extremely expensive.

It would be great if it could be controlled from EV3 - it would give so many new possibilities to those having just one EV3 brick!- 780 replies

These were my thoughts exactly! If we could get it in Europe for regular $199 then I could live with no steering - but with 205+ euro - I do not think so.

Unfortunately there is no steering and also no suspension :(
