In case of old topics Guidelines refer to http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=19004&st=25#entry776009 "LEGO reviews don't date", so I thought it would be good to put this question here, as in my opinion it did not deserve a separate topic. Also it was addressed to everyone, not to anyone in particular (e.g. original poster).

*sighs* I have bought it :). Sorry for offtopic.

Guys, do you think it is worth to spend $220 on (new, in sealed bags) locomotive and tender (pretty much everything except for the coach). Thanks in advance for the advice!

@sariel - I agree that there is too much room between the wheels and the body. I would say that those wheels are a bit too small. Any chance for a photo with 5571 (Black Cat) wheels for a comparison? -
5571 - 68.8 x 24 42043 - 62.4 x 20 (like 8241, 8258, 8285) This Merc begs for 68.8 x 24

Modular Building Sets - Rumours and Discussion

I think it is like that 'by design'. I also have a different problem with TH - 2nd floor does not align well with 1st floor. -
Why, oh why aren't the inner walls of the groundfloor going all the way up? :( To me that is the biggest drawback od this set
-
Why isn't the inner wall of pool bar going all the way up to the ceiling? :(

Grand Emporium is a good example - it has been "Sold Out" few times but kept coming back. @nesquik - kind sir, could you please share any details regarding detective agency with us? :> -

To me PR is done more than correctly - but that is a matter of personal taste. If you do not like particular set - you do not have to buy it - like I did with the cinema :) I just do not know who do you mean by "we" :). We-AFOLs? We-PR opponents? -

"An alley or alleyway is a narrow lane, path, or passage way, often for pedestrians only, which usually runs between, behind, or within buildings in the older parts of towns and cities. It is also a rear access or service road (back lane), or a path or walk in a park or garden. A covered alley or passageway, often with shops, may be called an arcade. The origin of the word alley is late Middle English: from Old French alee ‘walking or passage,’ from aler ‘go,’ from Latin ambulare ‘to walk’." Very broad notion it is :) -

I was also imagining it like that - but on two 16x32 baseplates.
