LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
BrickBob Studpants replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Sure, but that was always scheduled for 2027. Unless the original leaker was mistaken and the CMF series was based on a 2027 film to begin with, but that makes little to no sense. Why would a tie-in series be released so far in advance? At that point, the marketing will barely have started! It's either a 2026 film as initially claimed or one that got moved to 2027, which begs the question why they didn't move the series as well. I know, sometimes licensees can't adjust schedules that quickly, like with the CA:BNW McDonald's toys, but CMF series have a pretty short production cycle I believe, meaning adjustments should be way easier than with playsets -

Huh. This sure implies a movie that got somewhat recently delayed, but Shrek would be a strange choice for a CMF series regardless. Why not regular playsets? -
DC Superheroes 2025 - Rumors & Discussion

We haven‘t seen a single character other than Man this year, so I doubt WW stands much of a chance. Maybe the hair & tiara mould simply hasn‘t been destroyed yet! As for Soup, that hairpiece has never been out of circulation. The piece hasn‘t been used in black in a while before last year‘s mech, sure, but it did see use in other colours in other themes. -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
BrickBob Studpants replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
No way it‘s Shrek. The movie was delayed months ago, giving licensees plenty of time to adjust. Besides, the implication here is that the CMF is all we‘re getting based on whatever movie it is, and if TLG actually pursued a Shrek license, they‘d definitely release playsets first and foremost. I think it‘s a movie where a CMF series is its best possible representation, i.e. something more character- than vehicle- or location-driven. Like Street Fighter. Yes, I jumped on that train -
Okay, you got me there, I‘d have to look up some of their names too Without looking it up tho, Jack Black‘s character is named Shelly something, Karen Gillan‘s is Ruby Roundhouse (I think?), Dwayne Johnson‘s something with Stone, Kevin Hart‘s something with Mouse, the kids‘ names I don‘t remember at all, and the villain was named Jurgen the Brutal I think? It‘s been a while

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Dr Seuss in general maybe, but just Cat in the Hat? Does that story even have 12 characters? There’s the cat himself, the goldfish (which would be an accessory anyway), the two kids, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and who else? I know the movie‘s supposed to be the start of a shared universe, but it still seems like a bit of a stretch. Street Fighter would have the opposite problem! But if so, David Dastmalchian could get two minifigs this year -
Easily, if all movies are fair game If it's only the sequels, we have the 4 main avatars, the 4 kids playing the game, the villain from the last one played by Rory McCann, Awkwafina's character, the NPC guide, and Danny DeVito.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Rumour has it that the next series is based on a 2026 film that constitutes a new license. The leaker calls it S30, but that doesn‘t make any sense If it‘s a film getting released after the series does, it’s either Street Fighter, Jumanji 4, or Narnia. Any other ideas? -
According to someone on Brick Tap, the next CMF series is based on a 2026 movie that is a new license… I just looked at the list of upcoming movies scheduled for next autumn and two stood out to me, namely Street Fighter and the still untitled Jumanji 4. Neither is super likely, but they seem like the best candidates

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2026 - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That‘s debatable. One is based on the post-credits from Mando S2, one is in fact based on a scene from the show, but may as well be a Mando S3 set content-wise, and the third one only features a variant of a minifig to tie in with the show, the build and the other minifig are again based on Mando S2 -

That piece has been around since 2021 though, so what changed? I‘d say it‘s less likely than ever, given the state of the theme and the upcoming R-rated movie. -
LEGO The Legend of Zelda - Discussion and Speculation

The Mario movies didn‘t get any tie-in sets, so I kinda doubt it, but maybe it‘ll be different since it‘s live-action Either way, we need more sets and in a much faster pace! One set every 1.5 years ain‘t enough -

Ganondorf sports a full-length cape with printing on it, so I think that settles the debate -
General Star Wars Discussion and Questions
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Turtle getting into Star Wars surely wasn‘t on my 2026 bingo card But seriously, in addition to what @CloneCommando99 recommended, I would start by watching the movies and shows if you haven‘t done so already, and then grow your LEGO collection based on what eras you like the most (at the risk of no sets being available right now). If you want a recommendation in which order to watch the movies and shows, the best way in my opinion is roughly chronologically in release order. So the original trilogy, prequel trilogy, sequel trilogy, Rogue One, Solo, The Clone Wars, Rebels, The Mandalorian, The Book of Boba Fett, Ahsoka, and Skeleton Crew. Kenobi, Andor, and The Acolyte can be watched at any point after the movies, and The Bad Batch plus the „Tales of“ shorts should definitely be watched after The Clone Wars, while Resistance is best viewed after the sequel trilogy. The reason I place TCW and Rebels before the Mandoverse is because these shows prominently use characters from both animated shows. They‘re not mandatory by any means if you only wanna watch the live-action material, but it certainly enhances the experience ^^ And both shows are great! -

The new trailer shows that even more members of Baroque Works than expected will appear in S2, with more already confirmed for S3. I wonder how many of them will make it into the upcoming sets! The Unluckies probably stand next to no chance, as much as I’d like to have them -
Star Trek - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Yperio_Bricks's topic in LEGO Licensed
I‘m not much of a Trekkie myself, but I also think ST isn‘t as popular of a franchise as it used to be, despite having multiple shows on air ^^ There‘s a reason they picked TNG over a newer show or TOS. That said, there‘s still plenty of set potential, but like LOTR, they will most likely focus on 18+ sets. I definitely want minifigs of the original crew at least! We‘ll see how well the Gollum film will do, but I‘d say the LOTR movies are also timeless classics in their own right. That‘s what the sets are based on, after all -

I meant the dueling function. Figures with short capes might be easier to put on there with the SB attached, same goes for the throne and the A-Wing. Sure, the guards aren’t smart, but kids might not make that distinction Then again, this has never been an issue for other sets before… -
LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2026 - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Nah. My guess is that they gave the guards short capes to accomodate the play feature. After all, kids might want Luke to fight the guards first I wouldn‘t worry since Mando just got his regular long cape in the speeder set. There‘s no reason whatsoever for all future capes to be short ones ^^ -
