His ship will be the largest set this year! Yeah, there's still plenty of stuff left from S1 that could be turned into sets, which is why I hope the theme will continue in parallel with the show. Years without a new season could see the release of previously uncovered material! By the looks of it, the S2 sets also won't be able to cover every arc. -

LEGO Star Wars Media Discussion - Spoiler Warning!

Resistance sadly never got the chance to improve and mature like the later seasons of TCW and Rebels did. Of course they were restricted by the ST getting released in parallel and couldn‘t get ahead of it, but they still could‘ve done more. S2 was an improvement, but still didn‘t come close to any of the other shows, the villains dying off-screen just being an example Also, I hate how this show prevents Hamato Xiono from dying in Ahsoka S2. God, I hated him in that show and I‘m convinced now he‘s a FO spy. I mean, him not being on Hosnian Prime during TFA was suspicious before, but now? I know he‘s supposed to be unlikeable, but it stings we already know he‘s alive and well more than 20 years later -

LEGO Star Wars Media Discussion - Spoiler Warning!

Here‘s my ranking of all SW live-action shows and seasons: Mando S2 Ahsoka S1 Skeleton Crew Mando S1 Andor S2 Mando S3 TBoBF Andor S1 Kenobi The Acolyte I liked all of them, mind, but Andor S1 ranks lower for me than most people for a lot of stuff that went nowhere (like Cassian‘s sister), pacing issues, repetitious scenes, and too much tell-don‘t-show. Also, no K2. The speeches were incredible and every scene with Luthen was great, but I‘m not ranking it above other shows just for that That said, I liked S2 wayyyy better though! And yes, there was a lot of pay-off for stuff that annoyed me back in S1 (like that damn uncle Harlo), but still. The Acolyte had its moments, but Osha and Mei are both pretty lame main characters and flip-flopped their motivations at the drop of a hat. And I HATED the stupid witches. That show just should‘ve been about Sol and Qimir, who were actually compelling characters. Yord and Jecki were cool too! As for the animated shows: TBB TCW Rebels Tales of [x] Resistance TCW doesn‘t get the top spot thanks to some throw-away arcs TBB was a lot more consistent throughout, in my opinion. And they made some bold choices! Resistance wasn‘t bad, but lacked the edge the other shows had. Like all the main villains dying off-screen, booooooooo! -

The difference is that children murdering each other for entertainment is the focal point of the story, whereas a hero-turned-villain slaughtering a group of kids is just one scene -
Lord of the Rings Ongoing Discussion

I wouldn‘t mind a new Orthanc at all, especially if it actually comes with Treebeard this time! Always struck me as funny that we got a random unnamed Ent back then, but not the Ent That said, it‘s pretty low on my LOTR wishlist. I want a Mûmakil first! -
Lego One Piece rumors and discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Battlinpanther's topic in LEGO Licensed
The good thing about that is that you have to wait less for the follow-up I also only watched it shortly after the LEGO rumours surfaced last year, and BOY did the show surprise me! The anime adaption curse is fully broken (though I‘d say Alita already broke it before that)! Can‘t wait for S2 The only thing that worries me is the show‘s longevity, considering Netflix‘s tendencies to cancel shows that don‘t match their lofty expectations. I hope they get to Marineford at least! As for LEGO, I‘m really excited for the upcoming sets! OP was my favourite theme last year and I fully expect it to win the crown this year again If the sets do well and the show gets a new season every 1.5 to 2 years, I can see the theme lasting as long as the show does. There‘s enough material to provide the basis for sets in years without a new season, after all ^^ -
MotU is the least likely option out of all of the ones I‘ve heard. I‘m sure Mattel will want to do their own sets through Mega or Brick Shop, rather than give the license to their competitor I used to be on team Street Fighter, but now I‘m leaning towards Shrek. The hint that we shouldn‘t rule out a 2027 movie implies that the movie got delayed, and Shrek 5 fits the bill.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
BrickBob Studpants replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Well, the DCEU version of the character won't show up in the DCU, unless multiverse shenanigans get involved, or they just cast Dastmalchian again and ignore the events of TSS. After all, the movie as such is not canon to the DCU, just some events of it. That said, a purist minifig of the DCEU version can still be made this year if a) Mr 3 gets a minifig; and b) he has an alternative faceprint without the goggles -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
BrickBob Studpants replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
That's also my best guess, but the recent "a 2027 film cannot be ruled out" comment confuses me. If the leakers know what movie it is, where's the ambiguity coming from? Or do they know it's based on a franchise, but cannot verify yet if it's the new movie or existing material? -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
BrickBob Studpants replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Sure, but that was always scheduled for 2027. Unless the original leaker was mistaken and the CMF series was based on a 2027 film to begin with, but that makes little to no sense. Why would a tie-in series be released so far in advance? At that point, the marketing will barely have started! It's either a 2026 film as initially claimed or one that got moved to 2027, which begs the question why they didn't move the series as well. I know, sometimes licensees can't adjust schedules that quickly, like with the CA:BNW McDonald's toys, but CMF series have a pretty short production cycle I believe, meaning adjustments should be way easier than with playsets -
LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Huh. This sure implies a movie that got somewhat recently delayed, but Shrek would be a strange choice for a CMF series regardless. Why not regular playsets? -

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
BrickBob Studpants replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
No way it‘s Shrek. The movie was delayed months ago, giving licensees plenty of time to adjust. Besides, the implication here is that the CMF is all we‘re getting based on whatever movie it is, and if TLG actually pursued a Shrek license, they‘d definitely release playsets first and foremost. I think it‘s a movie where a CMF series is its best possible representation, i.e. something more character- than vehicle- or location-driven. Like Street Fighter. Yes, I jumped on that train -
Okay, you got me there, I‘d have to look up some of their names too Without looking it up tho, Jack Black‘s character is named Shelly something, Karen Gillan‘s is Ruby Roundhouse (I think?), Dwayne Johnson‘s something with Stone, Kevin Hart‘s something with Mouse, the kids‘ names I don‘t remember at all, and the villain was named Jurgen the Brutal I think? It‘s been a while

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours

Dr Seuss in general maybe, but just Cat in the Hat? Does that story even have 12 characters? There’s the cat himself, the goldfish (which would be an accessory anyway), the two kids, Thing 1 and Thing 2, and who else? I know the movie‘s supposed to be the start of a shared universe, but it still seems like a bit of a stretch. Street Fighter would have the opposite problem! But if so, David Dastmalchian could get two minifigs this year -
Easily, if all movies are fair game If it's only the sequels, we have the 4 main avatars, the 4 kids playing the game, the villain from the last one played by Rory McCann, Awkwafina's character, the NPC guide, and Danny DeVito.

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Future Series Rumours
BrickBob Studpants replied to r4-g9's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Rumour has it that the next series is based on a 2026 film that constitutes a new license. The leaker calls it S30, but that doesn‘t make any sense If it‘s a film getting released after the series does, it’s either Street Fighter, Jumanji 4, or Narnia. Any other ideas? -
According to someone on Brick Tap, the next CMF series is based on a 2026 movie that is a new license… I just looked at the list of upcoming movies scheduled for next autumn and two stood out to me, namely Street Fighter and the still untitled Jumanji 4. Neither is super likely, but they seem like the best candidates

LEGO Star Wars Set Discussion 2026 - READ FIRST POST!!!
BrickBob Studpants replied to MKJoshA's topic in LEGO Star Wars
That‘s debatable. One is based on the post-credits from Mando S2, one is in fact based on a scene from the show, but may as well be a Mando S3 set content-wise, and the third one only features a variant of a minifig to tie in with the show, the build and the other minifig are again based on Mando S2 -
