That’s an amazing calendar, well done And I’m really glad to see Cho instead of Krum! Speaking of which: time to throw legofan_33 to the sharks -

@Falconfan1414: That sounds very plausible, now I really hope everything plays out exactly like that And even if it didn’t, we wouldn’t have to wait all that long anyway, so a win-win in my book -

They usually reveal sets from the following year at SDCC, with a few exceptions here and there (the Hobbit sets in 2012, 2013 and 2014, the Spider-man set in 2018 or the Avengers set last year). I think some Jan 2021 / Dec 2020 sets are still more likely than a D2C, but you never know. It's 2020 after all, nothing has to make sense anymore -

I’m looking forward to the AC as much as the next guy, but it sure as megablocks isn’t worthy of a SDCC reveal It’s barely an appetizer compared to the other two -

I’ll buy an entire box as I always do @BacktoBricks is right, it’s not as fun or thrilling as buying packs in the wild, but 1) I collect the boxes too 2) I like having non-touched bags (especially now) and 3) the assurance of having all of the minifigs at least one or twice is boring yet relieving Isn’t that the same list stonewars recently reported on? -

Welcome to Eurobricks! Honestly, this year‘s SDCC is anything but ordinary. We have no idea what to expect from it, but they have to announce something, otherwise it‘d make no sense for them to attend Usually, most of the SDCC stuff would‘ve been revealed weeks before the event even started, but there hasn‘t been anything yet and I doubt it‘s going to be the recently teased Grand Piano. My guess is one 2021 set each for Star Wars, Marvel and DC A HP-related reveal is not impossible, but unlikely since LEGO HP didn‘t have a presence there in the last two years so I don‘t see why that should change all of the sudden -

@Robert8 is right, the CMF series should be revealed next week, otherwise something‘d be off. DA will probably still take a while, the Q&A teaser got us all a bit overexcited I‘m afraid However, the VIP-exclusivity of it gives me confidence there might be an early release for VIPs, which would also mean an earlier reveal. The Brickheadz and the AC on the other hand could be revealed any day without fanfare. -

This was inevitable though since 21323 had been rumoured to be an August release for a while now; it being revealed before DA thus shouldn‘t come as a surprise What was surprising though was its identity (the Grand Piano rather than Sesame Street). Besides, this week is SDCC, so any additional reveals that may occur this week should relate to that rather than HP. ...with the possible exception of the Hagrid & Buckbeak Brickheadz of course, if legofan_33 is to be believed -

The big reveal this week will be the Piano Ideas set, so I doubt that any of the remaining HP products will also be unveiled Hopefully we get to see the CMF series next week and the DA some time after that -
Didn‘t see that one coming So stonewars were surprisingly completely wrong, which they also just admitted to in their latest article. For that price, it has to have some sort of functionality

Whoops, my bad for falsely interpreting your comment I definitely agree that something in that style could work. If house-elves can be done as short minifigs, so can a Demiguise Too bad FB gets no love from TLG anymore, not even the better-liked first one -

There‘s only three problems with that: His head mould is so IP-specific I doubt it they’d be allowed to use it anywhere else (then again, the equally IP-specific mould for the Dagger of Time has shown up as Tauriel‘s daggers in the Hobbit ) The mould has those indents that allow a visor to be attached, which would probably look a bit awkward on a Demiguise Most importantly: his comlink is part of the mould, which makes it a useless piece for any character that isn‘t Rio or another Ardennian pilot -

What are you talking about, there clearly was one included in Newt’s Case of Magical Creatures, you just didn’t look for it hard enough You mean Rio Durant from Solo? That could work, his design is pretty monkey-like after all -

What are you talking about, the DaRk UnIvErSe was perfect beyond compare, can’t wait for their next cross-over extravaganza Seriously though, Universal has proven to be most cautious amongst the major studios, at least when it comes to delaying their tentpol stuff. They will allegedly soon assess the viability of a second NTTD promotional campaign and if it falls through, NTTD will certainly take JW:D’s spot next summer. Nothing’s set in stone yet, but I’m mentally preparing myself for everything between now and the end of 2021 being delayed, maybe even beyond that -

That would be amazing! Does F&B sell it in-universe? I thought it was only available at the other book store in DA, but luckily that probably wouldn’t stop them from including it anyway The FB book is definitely at the top of my accessory wishlist for DA Edit: Never mind, the other “store” is the book’s publisher, just looked it up So if F&B is included in the set, the FB book is quite likely to be featured as well -

I’m not all that optimistic about it since they’ve basically abandoned FB (even when it comes to the CMF), but I sure hope they release at least one or two more sets on the first two installments at some point. There’s still plenty of desirable characters and fantastic beasts themselves missing -

Which didn't really accomplish anything. I doubt the good guys would have lost if the house-elves didn't get involved Some streamlining was necessary for the films, even at the cost of some scenes/subplots book readers may hold dear. Unless you wanted each of them to be a two-parter, that is... And stuffing a story with subplots just for the sake of it isn't necessary IMO. ...looking at you, CoG. Stay in your corner and think about what you did Azkaban is visually striking, but its context alone would make it very tricky to turn that one into a set. I mean it's a high-security prison filled with the worst scum in the HP universe. Imagine the description of the play function: "Pull the switch to knock out the wall and help the convicted murderers and torturers escape and wreak havoc" -

Nah, I've read the first four completely and parts of the others and enjoyed each of the films much more. Just my opinion of course, but the filmmakers thankfully cut a lot of what I felt to be unnecessary subplots that ultimately went nowhere (like that weird one with the house-elves or the Barty Crouch Jr. switcheroo). That's why I'm glad Steve Kloves is back as a co-writer for FB3, his non-involvement was definitely noticeable in CoG -

I don’t get that, in what way does Mario replace HS? It’s just a theme that starts the same year another one ends, that’s like saying that Minions replaced Toy Story 4 Besides, it is well known that the Mario theme has been in development for multiple years, potentially longer than HS -

You can try it, but don't expect that question to be picked Or maybe they will simply select dream sets that have no chances of ever becoming real, like the Death Eaters' destruction of the Millennium Bridge or something equally ludicrous, just to troll you -

Denying others basic human rights is not just a matter of "disagreeing", y'know If that's hilarious to you, that says a lot about you tbh I think we should go back to topic though before the mods have to step in again -

You have to separate the art from the artist, and in this case it's not that hard because the sets are based on the films and not the books. I love the HP films (couldn't care less about the books) and I don't let JKR's hateful views destroy my enjoyment of them Sneaky, but they're not gonna fall for that Asking anything even vaguely related to upcoming sets is just a wasted question -

Could be, but I can't think of a single instance where a set's designer didn't present it themselves in the designer video I realise not everyone is equally comfortable in front of a camera (I know I wouldn't be if I was in that position), but to me, that's a big part of the charm of these videos. They're not manufactured corporate PR monstrosities, they feel very genuine and down to earth. And some of them are genuinely hilarious, like the fake 80's TV show thing they did for The Upside Down or the video for this year's Haunted House set with Carl Merriam cosplaying as Baron von Barron I hope the designer video will be on the same level as these two
