Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
The head being Justin‘s is the only thing I could believe, but why does that twerp deserve a new face print? Ok, maybe for a petrified alternative look The torso can‘t be Griphook‘s though since he wears a brown coat in PS and the hat looks like the hat/hair combo piece that was introduced in CMF S14 and nothing like the proposed piece would look. A piece like that would be an absolute waste -

Why have they recast Joker with Marilyn Manson? It‘s as if someone saw SS Joker and JL Steppenwolf and said „these two don‘t look nearly bad enough, suck all colour out of them and enhance their edgelordiness by 5000%“ This is going to be an absolute trainwreck And DC fans wonder why people prefer the MCU -

1) That’s definitely possible. I could see the accessory pack containing random wizards and witches to inhabit DA or other sets. The packs usually leak as a whole, but we‘ve seen weirder leaks before 2) Considering it‘s a flesh-coloured minifig, at least parts of it have to be from either Marvel or HP since those two are the only licensed themes where minifigs could leak right now, unless I‘m overlooking something. -

It‘s a 4+ set though, it‘s not supposed to cash in on nostalgia. The 66 show just involves more child-friendly versions of the characters, that‘s all -

The face print appears to be new and the hat doesn‘t exist in that colour yet But I do think it‘s composited of parts from multiple minifigs. -

Yeah, he often hides leaked minifigs in the background (like the Molly and Arthur Weasley ones last year) or makes them unrecognisable in a way His leaks never look like ones on first glance -

Completionists do exist, but it‘s tough I try to be as much of a completionist as possible with every theme I collect (HP, LOTR/TH, SW, Marvel, DC, Mario, JW, Ideas, POTC, Toy Story, LEGO movie universe, Overwatch, random licenses), but I draw the line at ludricrously expensive sets I‘ve missed in the past or most convention exclusives. Most of these sets are seriously outdated anyway or have long been replaced by superior remakes. In terms of HP, I‘ve missed a lot of the pre-2010 stuff because I was a teenager back then with other LEGO themes to spend my allowance on, mainly SW. By the time the 2010-11 sets came out, I went to university and finally had enough money to afford a complete collection of any given theme (minus the SDCC Voldy, which only had exclusive packaging). I’ve kept them on display for almost 10 years, but eventually ran out of space for them when pictures of the 2020 sets surfaced The current iteration I intend to keep complete as well (minus the store event builds, which do not count in my eyes). For that occasion, I’ve recently emptied an entire display case, going from two to three dedicated cases. Theoretically I could now put the 2010-11 stuff on display again, but I don‘t want to, considering this theme could continue for several years -
Lego City 2021 Rumours, information and discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Powered by Bricks's topic in LEGO Town
Our trusted @Former Itaria No Shintaku is back, and he reported the following in the ‚new animal moulds‘ thread: 60300 - Two small chimps, new mold, they are not posable and have clips for minifigure accessories as hands. Like they can hold a banana. 60301 - A small cat and a big feline. It may be new or old, it's dark tan but it's just preliminary. 60302 - Elephant, Baby Elephant, Two small chimps, tan crocodile (but they can change its colour) This sounds amazing I don‘t really care about City, but new animal moulds are always something to look forward to. Bricklink away!! -

The D2C set and the summer wave are still on the table though, nobody has ruled either of them out. A lot of people were dismissive about the latter option because of the earliness of the leak, but now that a Prof Sinistra minifig has leaked as well, it‘s still a realistic option Is that really a hint though? He often posts stuff for fun, like a picture of a two-headed Big Bird -

The whole range of MK sets just got leaked and none of the Video minifigs even remotely fit. Why is this suddenly being questioned anyway? It's so obviously Korg's head piece -

I'm more than willing to sacrifice new face prints for minor characters like Mrs Flume if this means new prints for more important characters -

Even if they decided to prepare the mould that far in advance (which there is no known reason for), why would they already be using said mould in the factories? This wouldn't even make sense if the movie WASN'T pushed back. Let's imagine an alternate timeline where COVID never happened. In that case, they would've started to design the sets roughly in October of 2020, based on the original plans for The Eternals, which was initially also a November release, just like Thor 4. Even in that scenario, there's no way they'd already be producing the sets. That'd be as if we had leaks from the Star Wars sequel trilogy sets in February (these always started to leak in summer btw). We've had early leaks before, but 8 months is just laughable, and since we sadly don't live in that alternate timeline, it's actually 13 months -

That makes absolutely no sense, Thor 4 has been pushed back last April, so roughly half a year before the design process of the sets would have started (keep in mind that the whole process takes a year in most cases) So you're suggesting they're already producing sets that won't be designed for another 4 months or so? -

Stonewars have published their article as well. Most of the info is congruent with the one provided by promo bricks, HOWEVER, they added one amazing bit of information: according to their sources, the Basilisk will have a moulded head and a moulded tail I hope that's true! -

Here I was, expecting to wait for a full month before the next bit of news drops in and now this The goddess of leaks is spoiling us! That would fit quite well I have no idea though where she could fit in though, I think all of her scenes are restricted to the Great Hall. Maybe she’ll appear in the next GH remake in 2024? -

Couldn‘t agree more. Of course I want more, but 5 sets for DH1 & 2 seems fair, considering that‘s the same amount OotP and HBP got last year (if you count DA as a HBP set, which it partially is). If there ends up being a non-DH set among these 5 after all, I hope the rest are able to make up for it -

I think he should be included in the CMF series, would make the most sense to me Or at least more sense than a random set or a D2C -

The „rumour“ that the $250 set is neither Gringotts nor a DA expansion. Just ignore it, I only brought it up to kill it right in its tracks And I‘m still sceptical, especially at that price point. As cool as the ship is, its screentime is way too short to warrant a set that big. Star Wars is the only theme that‘s allowed to do that, and even then most sets above 100$ depict vehicles and scenes with more screentime than that (the Juggernaut was redeemed by TCW, just to shoot down the most obvious exception) ...unless they combine it with the 2nd task as many have suggested, but even then it shouldn‘t be more than $90 IMO. Seems like a good choice for the second-to-largest set next year, but I can think of more deserving options for this year‘s $120 set
