  1. Unless another whoopsie happens in the same vein as last year’s premature HP S2 reveal, but I’m convinced they’ve since taken precautions to make sure something like that never happens again
  2. I think @Falconfan1414 has already debunked it on IG 15 minutes of internet fame must be one hell of a drug. Andy Warhol never knew how right he would be one day
  3. Sorry to burst your bubble, but: That idea doesn’t gel at all with the prices There’s not much “anniversary” themed about that, if we assume the alleged leaker is right Speaking of which: They have corrected their info to 3 connecting sets This info is very likely fake since not a single other source has corroborated it
  4. Realistically, only when the set pictures get revealed in late April Since our only reliable source for set names from the last few years has fallen victim to COVID (that being the toy fairs), there’s little chance for any leaks besides minifig parts
  5. Another poly, another Harry Time to remake the lab polybag from 2011
  6. Moreover, what would be in it for TLG? Would the sets magically sell more if they were released 2 months earlier than planned? A huge hassle for production and not a single advantage for them, does sound like a good deal
  7. Meh, I hope that's a fake rumour I know there's another wave coming plus the D2C set to boot, but pretty much half of the 2HY range being consumed by anniversary sets would be way too much for my liking. Especially since we don't know what these sets would entail... (only 2001 stuff or the whole catalogue up until the current reboot? The Star Wars anniversary also didn't focus on 1999, just saying)
  8. The Art sets have their own set numbers
  9. That's not weird at all since these four sets were always scheduled for an August release. The fact the April wave got pushed back a year doesn't affect that And there's no reason to release them earlier than originally intended
  10. Maybe the spino survived on sheer hatred and malice alone, like a certain formerly-bisected, tattoed, horned individual from a galaxy far, far away I’ve seen worse retcons
  11. There are no rumours for next year period, it's still just January
  12. I wonder what the Avengers sets are based on... Probably more stuff from the Square game or comic-based material. (I’m secretly still hoping for sets based on earlier MCU films though )
  13. A picture of two new Brickheadz sets from the Pets subtheme has leaked in the usual place, and one of them includes a Brickhead of @Guyon2002
  14. Wait, were people honestly expecting this to be based on ROTS? That’s completely delusional. Hm, which film could a Republic Gunship be based on, the one where it’s on every single poster, featured front and center in the climax of the film and which the picture on the voting site was based on; or the film where it basically appears in the background of one scene I DoNt KnOw
  15. Ideas projects on existing licenses always get shot down because they may conflict with internal plans (which is also the reason I don’t get why people are still suggesting architecture sets, modular buildings or Creator Expert-style cars; they simply don’t stand a chance for that very reason!). I think now they’re even prohibited if I recall correctly
  16. I’m with @Balrogofmorgoth: I enjoy it for what it is. The T-Rex model is nothing short of impressive and my favourite brick-built creature they’ve ever released. Of course it’s not in scale with... well, anything, but that doesn’t bother me at all. As a collector of more than 20 years now (22 to be exact), I’m kind of desensitised to scaling issues I’m also not bothered that much by the fact that the gate and Roberta share no screentime. D2C sets quite often combine iconic things, whether it makes much sense or not. Other examples: the mash-up between scenes and characters from Ghostbusters 1+2 in the HQ, Orthanc depicting scenes from FOTR and TTW, The Upside Down containing elements from all three seasons etc. Of course these examples are MUCH more subtle than the JP set, but it’s the same thought process behind it
  17. How do you know it sold poorly? Besides s@h and LEGO stores, D2C sets are only available at selected retailers in limited numbers, so it’s impossible to tell just by checking stores and seeing if the shelves are restocked (which is an inadequate measure of success anyway) Unless TLG admitted that somewhere of course, which they rarely do (if ever)...
  18. Chain Chomps vary quite a lot in their size in-universe. The one in Super Mario 64 for instance is huge, but the ones found in most 2D Mario games are about as large as Mario himself
  19. I’m just glad we’re getting sets at all this year If it weren’t for the second wave, we’d be empty-handed. So even if the sets aren’t fantastic, at least it’s something Maybe this has been a contingency plan from the beginning, considering they started designing all of these sets while the pandemic was already in full swing.
  20. Depends on the marketing. If they fix the issues from CoG (or at least convince people they're able to do so) and include enough stuff to catch people's interest, I could see it succeeding on FB1 levels again. Mads Mikkelsen for instance is a perfect recast which got a lot of people hyped I'd be very surprised if there wasn't a buildable Niffler among this year's 2HY sets. I mean they have to follow up last year's buildable Hedwig with something, right? A Niffler would sell like hotcakes even without a new film being around
  21. Prequels, sequels, spin-offs? Knock yourselves out. Remakes, reboots, reimaginings, re-whatevers? HELL NO. There are exactly five franchises I never want to see get remade, and HP is firmly among them (the others being Star Wars, Lord of the Rings / The Hobbit, Jurassic Park, and Back to the Future). I'd rather see a show about Dobby's sock or Justin Finch-Fletchley's cousin's neighbour's wacky adventures than a remake Or to be completely honest, I'd rather not see any show at all and new films instead. WW belongs on the big screen IMO, but that may be just me. There's plenty of potential for actually interesting material, no need for an utterly soulless, unimaginative, and pointless cash grab like that.
  22. Count me in too. I‘m very happy with the deluxe treatment HP is getting, but I wouldn‘t mind the occasional FB set to spice things up Given how small the regular Niffler mould is, this could be a tricky one Any smaller and you might accidentally inhale them Edit: Ninja’d
  23. That explains it I forgot Scabior also had that hairpiece in the game, never made much sense to me. I agree with your suggestion though, I could definitely see Sirius‘ hairpiece working. Another option I‘d be down for is Moody‘s hairpiece in dark brown. ...or they could always dust off a classic, Dastan‘s hairpiece Please don‘t
  24. Personally, I found that article pretty funny If you read it in German it's obvious very early on that it's a self-parody of the toy fair livetickers from the last few years. Some of the humour probably got lost in translation
  25. Yaxley does have a ponytail though, so I think it’d be either Will Turner‘s or Kanan Jarrus‘ hairpiece. The latter is smoother and would probably work better for him Either way, the ponytail is way too short, but the only alternative without resorting to a new piece would be Elsa‘s And Sirius‘ hairpiece wouldn‘t work in the slightest, are we talking about the same Yaxley here?
