  1. So to sum up today’s revelations: 76391 is a chess set 76392 is a pair of brick-built characters 76393, 94 or 95 is Fawkes One of two that isn’t Fawkes includes Hooch Am I missing something?
  2. That may well be the case, but that’s still just anecdotal evidence And the theme may need a while to warm up. My point was just that it’s way too early to tell, especially in the toy business Which would make no sense minifig-wise since the only characters involved in the whole sequence are the trio and Quirrell. Not enough to serve as the basis for even two sets, let alone three or four
  3. Wrong thread? That's the rumoured Frozen castle
  4. I certainly hope not, solely because the minifig selection would be the most boring thing in existence Why would anyone want three to four sets with basically the exact same 3 minifigs?
  5. That makes no sense. First off, you do realise that next year's sets are already in development as we speak, yes? Secondly, the success of a single wave does not determine the fate of a theme, especially not a large one. SW surely had waves that sold better than others, and it's still alive and kicking Thirdly, why would these particular sets flop? Just look at the minifigs and creatures included! For instance, the Basilisk alone will guarantee good sales for the CoS set
  6. Dang, I wish I had your ability to predict the future, like the sales of a theme that came out a mere three weeks ago “I don’t like it, therefore it stinks and sells poorly” is not as logically sound as many AFOLs may believe
  7. There’s only one D2C set though, the $120 one is just a normal set. Well, at least in its availability
  8. ...but instead the $70 one? Jk of course But the $120 has to be something that’s not minifig-scaled, otherwise KA’s comment and the PPR wouldn’t make sense. Plus Guyon called it the worst of the bunch
  9. Probably the only one that justifies a $120 set Personally, I would have prefered a Niffler, but at a much lower price point of course
  10. My opinion on the D2C set is pretty neutral and I’ll reserve judgment until pictures get revealed. HOWEVER, this would not have been my reaction if we hadn’t received these warnings by @Guyon2002 and @Falconfan1414. I’m not sure what it would have been like exactly, but trust me, you wouldn’t have wanted to be near me So my deepest thanks to both of you for preventing me from torching something in anger Oh, and of course thanks to @KA1 as well for providing us with the set info
  11. Because the PPR heavily suggests this isn’t anything minifig-scaled and since it’s apparently not a creature, there aren’t that many options left
  12. Not sure there are enough pearl gold parts for that
  13. So basically a $120 remake of 4701?
  14. ...or that So this will be the set that will shock us then? Bring it on, I say, we can take it
  15. I don‘t know why people keep calling the helmet sets „busts“. Busts include the shoulders, which the helmets clearly do not So I assume it‘s a different object then, like a wand, Harry‘s glasses, or his poorly-spelled birthday cake?
  16. Phew, so Hooch should still come in a flying lesson set. Unless she‘s in the accessory pack of course and her‘s are the new prints in that one
  17. Wait, what? It‘s neither a creature nor a „helmet“? Don‘t tell me my stupid broomstick idea is actually true
  18. Why are people surprised by the $120 set though? Ever since the parts count leaked we knew that this wouldn‘t be a normal set
  19. Not really. The Netflix shows acknowledge the movies, but not vice versa. Same goes for AoS. None of these shows were produced by Marvel Studios and therefore don‘t really belong to the MCU unless explicitly stated otherwise There‘s only one real exception though: Edwin Jarvis, who briefly appeared in Endgame
  20. That doesn‘t even make sense, don‘t forget the leaked Hooch minifig Or do you expect that minifig to be included in a $120 model of a broomstick or something?
  21. Welp, there we have it At least it‘s better than a Hogwarts Express D2C set
  22. They are moulded individually, but because the piece is transparent, they appear to overlap
  23. I think they made them transparent due to the wings. A dual-moulded part would not only be way more expensive to produce, it would also be a very tricky thing to accomplish on a technical level due to its miniscule size. I‘d rather have a transparent mould than a solid-coloured one with terrible-looking wings
  24. I don‘t disagree, but at this point, the trio, Dumbledore, Neville, and Luna are a fixed part of the roster, so every other slot counts, especially if the 12-minifig-approach persists
