Harry Potter 2021 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Captain Nemo's topic in LEGO Licensed
I meant after preliminary pictures got out People always complain how terrible they look, only to be pleasantly surprised by the finalised pictures -

The only issue I have with Luna being in this set is the face print. Characters sharing the same face prints within a theme is annoying enough (*cough* Marvel *cough*), but in the same set?! That’s just silly -

Hehe, I knew people would change their minds a bit once official pictures got revealed, because that’s how it always played out in the past -

Well, the trio would be canon at least Of course they wouldn’t make sense in the context of these sets, but neither do the golden minifigs if taken as a literal part of the set -

Yes, they’re going to be randomised Can’t wait to see who they selected! -

Not getting what you expected is exactly what it means to be disappointed I hope so too Does anyone remember how close to each other the official reveals were in the last few years? Last year was rather weird with the 360° videos leaking first -

It is a bit unreasonable to assume that they change a new-ish helmet piece that most people seem to like just fine Why spend so much money on something most people are perfectly okay with? -

So the Fluffy set does feature the trapdoor and the devil snare room after all Not sure what‘s in the tower section of that set, looks like some pictures on the walls, a potion, a candle, and a Honeydukes jar(?) -

Not only does Justin get his a**** handed to him by Harry, he‘s also the target of the pixies instead of Neville Someone on the design team must share my opinions -

Do my eyes detect a trans-green version of the butterbeer cup in the pixelated picture polyjuice set? -

Good to know, thanks So the CoS includes 6, Hogsmeade 4, and I assume the other two sets 3 and 2 respectively. I hope the remaining sets also include some tiles, otherwise this will get dicey -

The Great Hall includes one more minifig than expected Of course Luna doesn‘t make a whole lot of sense, but that Rabenclaw robe torso print should be worth it Other highlights for me: New face prints for Dean and Mr Flume new printed head piece for Honeydukes jar 2 pixies The Basilisk The Ninjago snake warrior head piece in a new colour, such a great parts use GITD Nick Justin getting his a*** kicked by Harry It‘s Luna -

Sinestra was fake all along These two sets look excellent! There‘s only one thing I dislike: the chocoloate frog card tiles are randomised It‘s Vidiyo all over again! Hopefully they won‘t be too hard to collect -

This one puts the old R2 to shame, despite it already being a good model Can‘t wait to see more details! It is. Posting leaked images or links to them is strictly prohibited on EB, for good reason -

Can‘t remember that one If so, two out of the five upcoming post-June sets (buildable figures, Fawkes, D2C, AC, polybag) don‘t include a golden minifig. If the set with the buildable figures is among them (missed opportunity in my eyes), that leaves one other set. I‘d say it‘s the AC, since that one will get released last and couldn’t really advertise the golden minifig in the same manner the other sets do, spoilers and all that However, the polybag is also a bit of a wildcard. Polybags without sidebuilds have become increasingly rare, and the golden stand certainly doesn‘t count as a build, given it‘s just one singular piece The Shazam polybag is the only one in recent memory that only featured a minifig -

The 6 golden minifigs we know of can‘t be it. I mean would they really omit Dumbledore, Draco, and Hagrid? True, but it‘s still the same team as far as we know. Unless they‘ve been been replaced by polyjuiced phonies -

Well, I meant the general idea of buildable large-scale minifigs, not the chair they‘re standing next to I don‘t think there‘s anything included in that set besides the „maxifigs“ (and a golden minifig, hopefully) -

The shows are part of the MCU though Well, most of these don‘t absolutely require a new mould, with the exception of Loki, should they choose that costume As with @Scarilian‘s list, there are definitely some characters in your list that wouldn‘t really work with existing pieces, but those aren‘t all that likely to appear in the series (should have specified that in my earlier post ) -

There‘s a far more profane reason why the Steamboat Willie minifigs were also part of the CMF series, that being the new moulds. Ideas sets being able to introduce new moulds is a very recent development, so that‘s simply how they got around that problem Speaking of moulds: Am I wrong to think that the Marvel CMF series might be VERY light on new ones? The only one I can think of right now is Wanda‘s hairpiece. None of the other characters we‘ve discussed so far require anything new, not even in terms of accessories -

I just thought of something, not sure if anyone has brought this up yet: Maybe this is what inspired the buildable figures? This was (or still is?) on display at multiple LEGO stores (the picture above was taken at the one in Glasgow 2 years ago, good times). I can imagine customers asking store employees if something like that could be turned into an affordable set Could also be a coincidence of course, but keep in mind that the frequency of customer requests at stores is cited as a reason HP was brought back, so decisions being made as a response to customer feedback at least isn't unheard of -

So they really are giant minifigs, as Falconfan once speculated? Sign me up for that The only issue I have with that idea is that it establishes a new style on top of Brickheadz, Brick Sketches, Art sets, and helmets If they do well, I don‘t think they‘re able to resist the urge to do other characters in that style, especially in themes like Marvel or Star Wars. Or they‘ll reserve that style for characters that can‘t get the helmet treatment
