Indiana Jones 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Pulp Detective's topic in LEGO Licensed
Exactly! I don‘t need a ton of sets like in 2008, but at least one set with a new crystal skull, Mutt, Mac, Spalko, and Dovchenko would be fantastic -

Since the fourth set is now almost certainly not based on KotCS, I‘m hoping for more sets next year This is Deathly Hallows all over again -

LEGO Star Wars 2023 Set Discussion - READ FIRST POST!!!

As much as I like the idea of the new gimmick sets being army builders, I doubt they‘d bring back Battle Packs only to replace them with a new concept 18 months later I suspect something along the lines of the planet sets. Maybe small scale models but with a brick-built backdrop instead? Sort of like last year‘s Trench Run diorama, but a lot smaller -

According to lego_minecraft_goat, this is the set list for 2HY: 71420 (106 pcs) 71421 (174 pcs) 71422 (259 pcs) 71423 (1321 pcs) 71424 (554 pcs) 71425 (1157 pcs) Allegedly, no new starter course and no series 7 -
Lego Avatar 2022/3 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Mr No's topic in LEGO Licensed
That‘s my biggest concern with this theme. What will the release schedule look like? Sets on the third movie can be expected for January 2025, which means a two year gap without any new material. They could theoretically release at least two or even three waves based on the first two movies in-between, and while there are plenty of vehicles and creatures left, I‘m not sure there is enough to sustain multiple waves Also, the list of missing characters is very short, interestingly. In most licensed themes, missing characters is a way bigger issue than missing vehicles / creatures -
Sonic the Hedgehog - Rumours and Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Classic_Spaceman's topic in LEGO Licensed
The vague description does imply a course building system, but maybe it‘s more like the Ideas set? Come to think of it, that one was pretty clearly designed with the possibility of expansions in mind, looking back. There was some speculation about that earlier this year. So maybe an entire theme beyond the Ideas set was planned from the get-go, which might also explain the delay of the set -
Disney Properties 2023 - Rumors & Discussion
BrickBob Studpants replied to Huigberts Builds's topic in LEGO Licensed
Maybe. If so, I wonder why other leakers thought it was a „new license“ -
Sure, but why would the main Mario theme be 6 or 7+ and the movie tie-ins 4+? We would‘ve heard about them a long time ago if that were the case. Also, everything else that got leaked recently is firmly scheduled for 2HY, so this would be an extremely odd exception
-
Also, had they made sets based on the movie, they would‘ve released them closer to its release and I doubt they‘d all be 4+

Promobricks are hinting at a Sonic theme The Ideas set must‘ve sold really well then! -
Taking this with a grain of salt, but there are rumours of a new licensed theme codenamed „Sparkles“ consisting of 4+ sets only. If true, no idea what it could be. Any upcoming non-Disney animated movies next year that would fit?

Some people have been hinting at a Zelda theme, which would make sense considering the recent update of „banned“ licenses on Ideas I need further information before I start believing that though -

Rumours for summer 2023: 21247 The Axolotl House (242 pcs) 21248 The Pumpkin House (257 pcs) 21249 The Crafting Box 4.0 (605 pcs) 21250 The Iron Golem Fortress (868 pcs) These all sound excellent! More mob houses are always welcome and one based on pumpkins sounds cool too -

That‘s the best case scenario Certainly better than beefed-up Microfighters, pointless 4+ sets, a new gimmick, or Brickheadz (which usually have their own 4xxxx number range but then there were the Kylo Ren & Sith Trooper and Mando & Grogu ones which inexplicably had normal SW 75xxx set numbers) -

Indeed All joking aside though, there‘s a decent chance the other holdover set from 2022 is also a DC one. I mean, why else would it be delayed like that? -

The wave in May is pretty substantial though, which in my mind makes up for the tiny January one
