  1. Dune sets would indeed be cool, but that ship has long sailed I’m afraid. The 2nd comes out pretty soon (unless it gets delayed as rumours suggest) and after that, there’s only that Sisterhood show left, plus an adaptation of the second book apparently. The rest of the books are probably too weird to be adapted. The films are definitely in TLG’s ballpark, both content- and age rating-wise, but I doubt too many kids are actually into Dune An Icons set aimed at adults would be awesome though!
  2. What we need is a Death Eater battlepack Not very realistic, I know. However, a small Battle of the Department of Mysteries set or one based on the Battle of the Seven Potters would do the trick too. In general, I hope $20 sets make a return next year. A small set like that was sorely missing from this year‘s summer wave
  3. Personally, I found that scene hilarious They seriously tried to I'm not saying Secret Invasion had to be on the same level as the comic counterpart, but some higher stakes would have been appreciated. Sure, they try to have that, but without actually bringing in an Avenger or two, it still feels small-scale. Let's be real, as soon as the Avengers showed up, Gravik would be toast
  4. I clearly said „in my opinion“, so what gave you the impression I spoke for someone other than myself? She‘s one of the best characters in the show, but wouldn‘t make for a particularly interesting minifig. Again, just my two cents
  5. Really? People generally seem to be apathetic towards the show, so you‘re the first person I‘m seeing to elevate it to that level I quite enjoy it myself, especially Fury and Talos, but I really don‘t like Gravik and his weak motivations. It also feels quite inconsequential, unless the finale delivers an unexpected gamechanger As I keep saying since the D+ shows started, they should‘ve been movies, and this one even more so than the previous ones. And none of the characters scream „CMF candidate“ in my opinion
  6. Why not? The sets are based on the films, so it was only a matter of time until a film-only character got the minifig treatment The reason we haven‘t seen one before is likely because most of them are random students. Ricbert makes sense as he‘s the head teller I think they actually are pearl dark grey (formerly known as gun metal grey, also known as titanium metallic)
  7. Ricbert and Bogrod have names, so those two should count And the Death Eater counts too in my book
  8. Yeah, that‘s my only gripe with the Ahsoka sets. Good thing trans-neon-orange ones exist! I‘m a purist, so I‘ll keep mine as they are, but for those who want to replace them, at least there‘s that option
  9. They‘re still classified as trans-clear, but the 4L bars produced after 2019 are a bit more opaque compared to other transparent parts All the ones I got were like that (Mario ?-block, Endor chase, Atari, Little Mermaid). Compare it to other trans-clear parts and you‘ll see the difference
  10. Of course Ahsoka‘s lightsabers are frosted, transparent 4L bars have been frosted since 2019 For the clear one, no non-frosted version exists as far as I know
  11. That‘d be kind of weird. The GWP has to depict one of the three vaults seen in the movies, which are all already featured in the set. And why would it be attached down there? I think it‘s just a separate model.
  12. Oh. That was pretty click-baity then
  13. Now that we finally get a OotP-style Death Eater, there are only three characters left I want from this theme: Bill, Narcissa, and Karkaroff. Maybe Scimgeour and Mundungus, but those are not that important all things considered. Never thought in 2018 that we'd actually get to a point where the list becomes this laughably short. I mean, in 2011, I desperately wanted OotP Sirius, Scabior, Kreacher, Tonks, Slughorn, Aberforth, Kingsley, Yaxley, and modernised versions of Moody, Trelawney, Umbridge, Lockhart, and Quirrell, and now we ended up getting all of them So no matter what they do from this point on, I'll be satisfied with how this theme has been handled. If only some other themes got the same amount of love and care...
  14. Ohhh, good thinking! That‘d be pretty crazy though, turning an unlicensed Ideas project into a licensed set is unheard of Since most of the main characters are onboard that train, this could result in a very interesting minifig selection
  15. Only if it‘s a Commando BP I know we haven‘t had a BP with the new Stormie helmet yet, but I don‘t want that to take the precious spot
  16. @TandNbricks claims we‘re getting a MI set this year! Sounds pretty far-fetched, but then again, there are still some Icons sets left this year. Very exciting, if true!
  17. Makes sense, as SDCC is in full swing now (well, as full of a swing as it can be, with all the major studios absent)! If I‘m not overlooking something, it‘s the final product scheduled for September that hasn‘t been revealed yet, aside from the Republic Gunship
  18. The numbers and prices could drop any day now. Set names and descriptions usually surface in August or September
  19. Now that Gringotts and the Ahsoka sets have been revealed, my final ranking for this year is: Disney 100 Harry Potter Lord of the Rings Star Wars Indiana Jones Jurassic Park Marvel Super Mario DC Ouch. I really thought Indy would easily take the top spot this year, but not with that miniscule effort I was thinking about placing it below Jurassic Park and Marvel even, but I like the three sets too much for that. I‘m not sure if I‘d be less harsh had the cancellation and false rumours not occurred, because this is a weak offering either way.
  20. The movie is called “The Marvels” because it features Captain Marvel, Ms Marvel, and Photon, who in the comics also had the Captain Marvel moniker for a while Simple as that, no need for silly „they had to remove the main character‘s name from the title“ conspiracy theories.
  21. I didn’t know that looking like she was stoned out of her mind was one of her key characteristics I’ll take more generic faces over the pre-2011 monstrosities any day
  22. Forgot about that piece, but you're right, that would've been great! Now I wish she was part of the CMF series, not only because of the outfit, but also the accessory If there's one thing I would change about the series' roster, it's to replace Wolverine with Ms Marvel
  23. What's the opposite of a wishlist? A dreadlist? Congrats, you just created one, straight from my nightmares! Whatever it is, it's not gonna be that bad.
  24. That's my feeling as well. They obviously plan for him to be the main antagonist in the upcoming Filoni movie, so they probably don't want to give him too much screentime yet. As long as he makes his presence felt and we get a cool minifig out of it, I'll be satisfied Sure, but that's not a winter wave I'm always pretty optimistic when it comes to summer/fall waves, it's the winter stuff I've lost faith in
  25. True. My favourite Bellatrix faceprint is still the CMF one. Baffling that they abandoned that one, but that's par for the course. The prints they created for Ginny and HBP Hermione in the same series also didn't stick Griphook's and Myrtle's on the other hand are both pretty similar to the CMF ones, and the ones created for Fred & George are still being used
