Rightfully so The only big-scale UCS set I‘ve never had any issues with so far is the Razor Crest. The Falcon lost many plates on the underside (which are a real pain to reattach), the SD was downed by me forgetting to transport it the correct way (i.e., removing the bridge and sections below to gain access to the Technic skeleton inside, serving as a handle), and now the AT-AT had an …accident. Hope the Venator is more like the Razor Crest, but I get strong SD 2.0 vibes from it, unsurprisingly

AT-AT destruction status update: it took me 6 hours to repair this beast, but the dark deed has been done Now I‘m missing two pieces and I found the broken off tip of a LBG bar piece, but have no idea where it came from. All 38 bar pieces look fine

I’d say same as this year, when the 2HY set lists leak My expectations are VERY low though. I‘ll consider it an absolute win if we get anything that isn‘t a Batvehicle with Batsy, The Joker, and/or Harley. Even Robin or Batgirl would be phenomenal inclusions at this point

If they really thought the sets would sell without the movie „hype“, they wouldn‘t have delayed them an entire year Chances for more sets were already slim, but with DoD flopping and no sets being listed for 2024, we can safely assume the theme is done for good. People like to bring up Jurassic World, but that‘s an evergreen theme that had multiple successful movies and a show recently, and kids love dinosaurs. Indy is not comparable on any level

Not a 2023/24 set, but has anyone had any stability issues with their UCS AT-AT? Today, I moved mine aside to gain access to a display cabinet and more and more side panels on the legs and underside started to fall off. I tried to fix it for like an hour to no avail and got so fed up I ended up smashing the thing to a thousand pieces with a single stroke Instant regret kicked in, looking at the mess I just made. Not looking forward to repairing it. Sigh… Something to keep me busy until the Ahsoka sets arrive, I guess

These rumours are getting ridiculous. First an Arc-170, and now an MTT? What next, are the clones piloting a miniature Venator? My two cents in regards to the BP discussion: as a collector who doesn‘t buy multiple copies of the same set, I don‘t mind BPs including named characters and/or highly specialised troops. I do see how that causes a big issue for army-builders though, so ideally, there should be a bit of balance. My personal favourites are thus BPs that can satisfy both collectors and army-builders by including 2 identical (or very similar) troopers, a variant, and and a specialist of sorts (or an officer, captain, commander etc)

The X-Mansion definitely looked like the least developed out of all the sets in the survey leak and was at the very bottom of my list, both design-wise and in terms of likelihood of getting released. That said, the fact we're getting an X-Men set in January (plus the three CMF minifigs) significantly increases the chances the set actually gets made Still not counting on it until we have more concrete information that does not refer back to the survey leak itself. The same goes for all the sets from that particular leak as we still have no real confirmation that any of them will hit shelves next year.

Honestly, I always expected this to be a one-and-done type deal. A vast majority of licensed non-evergreen themes don‘t make it past their first wave anymore. Avatar was probably the only exception lately and that one is dead too until the next movie hits And yeah, I would have been pretty miffed if Gabby made it to 2024 while Indy didn‘t, adding insult to injury
