Thanks, glad someone likes it . To be fair I had no particular plan apart from looking at some garbage truck pictures online, but since you recognised the cabin, I can give it a shot. I did not know this model but found some further pictures of this particular garbage truck. It has a different and interesting cabin design (used a lot for firetrucks as well). Thanks for the feedback, the rest will be MOC.

Here are some progress pictures following the weekend. I put together the chassis according to my specifications. The rear suspension and front steering are from the AROCS, the front suspension has been modified a little. The main reason for the reuse is to allow me to focus on the pneumatic and body part (that will be the most challenging for me). I installed and connected the V6 to the rear wheels. The chassis has been reworked and the empty container in the middle will contain the M motor and pneumatic pump. (Already in progress) The front bumper will be reworked completely once I start the cabin. I plan the pace the control valves on each side: 3 on one side to control the bin elevation and dumping, including opening the hatch on top. Two on the other to control the rear door and internal pusher. I will try to position them vertically so the switching makes sense for playability. As earlier, any comments welcome. Thank you.

Thanks for the tip, I checked some real trucks online and got the range of motion by lowering the cylinder base by two studs! Now the arm is horizontal when in high position. Got to start working on the chassis now.

Hello everyone, This is going to be (hopefully) my entry for TC10: Front Loader Garbage Truck Functions to be included: Two rear axle with differentials V4 or V6 engine Steering of course with HOG Independent suspension in front Rear axle suspension similar to AROCS Pneumatic pump via M motor or manual pump Pneumatic fork container lift Pneumatic container lift Pneumatic ejector Pneumatic door cover Pneumatic tailgate The picture below shows all the functions. Only the body raise will not be implemented (I'm out of cylinders). It will be a combination of V1 and V2 pneumatics. The scale will be similar to the AROCS, same wheels. And here is a quick prototype to check the feasibility of the front loader. I will post further progress once I get some time to work on it. Any recommendation welcome. Thank you.

Thank you for the excellent review and pictures. I just started building this set and the steering is really fun to put together, really clever. Motorising will however require major redesign which I don't think I'm capable of. Looking forward to the MODs.

Thank you for the tip, I got mine today at ToysRUs in Germany, same offer, 15% off all LEGO above 30 Euros. For those interested, the offer lasts until August 3rd. Can't wait to put my hands on those tires now. -

An amazing MOC, should be a Lego flagship! Well deserved recognition on Top Gear and by the manufacturer. -
Thank you Sariel for another great review, this is another must buy. Lego has really outdone themselves for the H2 sets this year. First mod will be the bucket and pneumatic hoses. I also wish they would reintroduce the rigid hoses, it looks so much better and authentic. Looking forward for the B model review!

Very nice design. We are from the area and went around with the steam engine a couple of time. I have never seen the Porsche version though. The scale is interesting and provides great detailing, great job.

Nice design and functionality. I find the cabin a bit odd looking as well, but the rest looks great. That driving function would keep my kid busy for a while, nice gearbox. -
Another great review, I especially like the table of content with timing, very useful to watch a section again. This set is a must buy for me: tires, lime panels, double PTOs, great functions. I look forward to see all the attachement and MODs on this set.

Thank you for another great review Sariel. I also see this model as a great part pack, and can't wait to assemble it. Are you also going to review the B model?

Hello everyone, I am quite excited to finally register on this forum. I have been browsing Eurobricks for more than 3 years now (since I came out from my dark ages) and it's time to participate. Although I live in Germany, I come from France, 36 year old now, and got back into LEGO following the birth of my son (back to the basic with DUPLOs ). I grew up with LEGO, which was almost my only toy, from basic brick sets through classic space, pirates and Technics as I got older. I remember flipping through the catalogs and hoping to get the large sets, but unfortunately had to content myself with small ones - still provided me with many hours of building fun. Now, as an AFOL, I can enjoy financial freedom and finally get these flagship technic sets I always dreamed of. I got back into it with 42009 and was very impressed with the complexity, details and quality of the build. And I also realised at the same time that I completely missed the transformation to studless technic. I now own the last three flagship sets (and some other smaller ones) and can't wait for the massive Bucket Wheel Excavator and Class Xerion to come out. Recently I took interest in GBCs with the brilliant work Akiyuki and some of the Eurobricks members. In the mean time, I also got my wife into it with LEGO modulars which I also find fantastic, so many details. We are very slowly putting together a small city to our son delight. Overall, the forum community is very impressive, there are so many amazing MOCs and creative builders. Hopefully I can share some of my modest builds soon! Ciao!
