  1. I know not in the Lego store, I was just talking generally about the other retailers. however, you say it was discounted to get rid of stock, was it when it was retiring? Because Lego do often do huge reductions to get rid of retiring stock. Usually at half price, I got the Phantom II for half price earlier this year and a few Star Wars sets last year for half price.
  2. To be fair, in the UK, Lego sets nowadays go to 20/30% off extremely quickly, and stay that way for a long time. However I don’t think the sales of the set were anywhere as good as the Dimensions packs, it was quite overpriced.
  3. No they probably couldn’t. Snape is a repeat so no extra cost, Hooch requires new printing, which costs. There was no budget left for the set. Hence why she was left to the Minifigure pack.
  4. To be honest, Luna was just the first character that came to mind when I said her down the like it would be cool to get a ‘Dumbledore’s Army training’ set or something with a death eater dummy and Cho and patronus’ or something
  5. I imagine that down the line it will be featured in sets with characters like Luna
  6. I really disagree, all the sets have a great selection of Minifigures. Whilst it is shot in the film to make it look like Aragog look much bigger, the actual prop is about the size of the one in this set compared to a person, having seen it at the studio tour last year. also in HBP, the dead Aragog is about this size too.
  7. Looking at Aragog more closely, the building techniques to form is head are quite wonderful. The piece originally used back in the day to attach doc ocks tentacles to has the fangs and some brown attached to to form the mouth, and the eyes/forehead? Folds over this build form the back. Ingenious, really quite something.
  8. They’ve got the head shaping with the eyes perfect for Aragog! A perfect recreation of the 2002 Set!
  9. I’d disagree here, only 2/7 figures in the Falcon are unique, and the majority are repeats in the Disney castle too. Same goes for other D2Cs like the Helicarrier. however with this theme, I imagine it will be mostly variants of existing characters.
  10. It would be pretty cool I’d the D2C featured the clock tower etc that attacked to the back of the great hall, so I’m the end you can have a castle that looks good from behind as well as in front.
  11. There’s absolutely no evidence to suggest we should ignore them. The D2C is more than likely gonna be able to connect. How are Lego going to market a D2C which just recreate something they already released a few months earlier. think Assault on Hoth; if you want the whole battle, you need to buy an AT-AT separately. With this film, no, there have not been any critic screenings, and won’t be until October at the very earliest. It’s still being edited. Fan reaction to the first film was not amazing, it wasn’t bad, but not anything like any of the previous 8 films.
  12. In similar fashion I’m most excited for the Hogwarts Express Set. My oldest memory of Lego is building the original set back at Christmas 2001, and with this set being almost an exact remake (Minifigures aside) I’m super excited to do it again! also excited for the Anglia for similar reasons, I remember chasing the original with the train on the kitchen table when I was little!
  13. I imagine the Character selection and any play features will be based on years 1-3, but it will include buildings like the astronomy tower, the Deathly Hallows part 2 model is what they’re using in FB:TCOG
  14. Depends when the D2C is being released. There’s been rumours of basically every month after August being the release. The origina rumour was Nov/Dec. Then someone said October. Now I’ve seen someone claim September, and someone else claim it’s coming with the August 1st release. basically it’s just a guessing game tbh. But it will likely be announced a few weeks before release.
  15. That might not be the case nowadays. When I purchased the UCS Falcon, I returned an hour later and bought the Slave 1 and used the points I earned from the Falcon
  16. Think I’m gonna save up VIP points from these sets for the D2C. my plan is buying all that’s availible day 1 at Lego store, will be going halves with my partner (she’s a mad potterhead who only recently got into Lego because of me, and as she drove me to the nearest store the morning of the Falcon’s release, I think I owe her a trip there for this wave) Will get the CMFs probably elsewhere, where they’re likely to not have already been rummaged through. I think it’s there as simply an Easter egg, with a similar hatch/trap door to come in an eventual Shrieking Shack Set. I think Lego really have this planned out
  17. Under £100 is definitely reasonable I think, considering the price of a set like Boost
  18. I noticed this too, and yet the press release stated a July 1st release date. Perhaps it’s a different date in a different region? Like how last year the Thor: Ragnarok And Spider-Man sets were available in UK 2 months before America
  19. Throne room looks awesome! Most anticipated summer set along with the X-wing for me!
  20. As Jangbricks would say, we don’t get a lot of ‘stuff’ for the price, but I think, depending on how much there is in terms of electronics, it will work out as worth it.
  21. Interestingly, the Brickheadz are listed as 1st of August, and yet they have since been announced as 1st July... what’s the deal here?
  22. It’s $160/£120 because of the electronics inside, it’s not as simple as a 300 odd piece set
  23. Are there supposed to be others in the set??
  24. It’s remote controlled and app compatible, like Lego boost
  25. Despite the image above, the official white background images show a Batman based on Arkham Knight!! very excited for that Minifigure alone!
