that would make it the second biggest set ever, not too shabby for Harry Potter, but Its definitely got to be huge to fit nanofigure, nothing like any of the micro Mocs you can find online. I’m predicting a footprint bigger than the Rollercoaster

Well it’s more of a case of waiting for those two or more sources before blindly believing that can be a problem, probably not in this case, but people need to take things with a grain of salt I mean look what happened with the system scale Hogwarts. A lot of that was just people assuming, but someone did come on here and say they had seen the set and it was system scale and featured the clocktower, and people believed them

This. So much. People believe things way too quickly, and then get disappointed when they turn out false

According to Thebrickfan, the US July 1st release date is only for Target and Lego, due to target wanting a month of exclusivity for some reason. Hence why the date is still august in other territories. to be honest I think from July 1st, outside of the us it’s just gonna be a case of if a store decides to put them out or not.

Actually Bond films are British made

Not really an insult at all. This will likely just be one set anyhow. We get you want Doctor Who Sets really badly, I do too, but c’mon this isn’t the place for it on another note, whilst I think it would be great for a creator car-scale DB5, I kinda hope it’s a Minifigure scale set, so I can put with my other “iconic” movies vehicles like the Delorean and the Ecto-1.

Conaidering the U.K. prices we know about so far, compared to the US: The Quidditch Match - $40/£35 Whomping Willow - $70/£60 Hogwarts Express - $80/£70 Great Hall - $100/£90 i personally wouldn’t be surprised if these were the remaining prices: suitcase - £40/45 Grindlewalds Escape - £20 Aragog’s Lair - £13 EDIT: This does bode well for the D2C in the U.K. if it’s a $500 Set, it could easily be £400

I’m not sure what you mean about spreading out the buildings. The set will likely be just a scale model of Hogwarts, so essentially a Lego replica. If you google the model at the studio tour, it will likely just be a Lego version of that, with the grand staircase tower and astronomy tower as the tallest buildings

I’m just confused why the date is August 1st whilst it’s July 1st elsewhere, and sets have already been appearing in the U.K. might be worth chancing it in store on July 1st

I’m not sure what’s happening with TRU exclusives in the U.K. the T-Rex transport for Jurassic World is at John Lewis, Argos and a couple other shops, so I think the excess stock meant for TRU here is being sold off to other stores

Whilst you could consider the Millenium Falcon a 40th anniversary Set. It’s based on The Empire Strikes Back and The Force Awakens. Whereas the 40th annoversary is of A New Hope. and compared to what Lego could have done for their anniversaries this yeah, I think many would agree what we got was just fine, but not great

I wouldn’t be surprised if we got the Great Hall. Considering we’re getting nanofigs, there size of the thing must be substantial enough to display them on/in it. I can imagine some building having removable roofs Does it really matter that much??

I don’t just look at the number of parts, the Set looks like a £45 Set to me, as Jangbricks would say; “the amount of stuff you get” for £35 is great I too would like to know where people are seeing this dementor

Okay, well i think £35 for 500 bricks and 5 Minifigures, with some new moulds, is great. Personally I think going into seperate bricks and complaining their cheap bricks is a bit ridiculous. Especially in a Set with those new characters and the golden snitch. But each to their own

If Olivander is in the CMF. I hope his accessory is a wand box. I’m imagining a printed 1x3 tile on a 1x3 plate

Despite the annoying Aug 1st release date for the U.K., there is some fantastic news to be had with he prices! the Quidditch set - with 500 pieces - is only £35! That’s outstanding! the Whomping Willow Set, with over 700 pieces, is only £60! And I suppose that confirms the rumour of the Hogwarts Express being £70. and on top of that the Great Hall is £90! loving the prices all around, considering I’m picking these up day 1, it will give my wallet that little extra breathing room!

Why aren’t people allowed to want different things? i love the look of the 2 Hogwarts structures in the wave, and wanted that in a D2C. I will likely get the scale model version, as an architecture-like Hogwarts does sound awesome, but a system scale Hogwarts is something I’ve wanted since I was a kid, so was looking forward to an “ultimate” version. on the other hand, not throwing in all the iconic parts of the castle in system scale definitely proofed Lego’s intent to make this an evergreen theme. They could have one flagship building for each wave, for each year... Prisoner of Azkaban - The Clocktower Goblet Of fire - The Owlery Order Of the Phoenix - the large building to the right of the castle Half-Blood Prince - The Astronomy Tower It will take a while, but the end result should look fab

I’m currently in a bit of a dilemma. I can get the Juniors T-Rex breakout for £36, and the Carnotorus set for £48. I’m not sure which to get. I really want a T-Rex, and I think I prefer the exclusive one, but that’s unlikely to go down in price anytime soon. But then again I like the canotorus set as a whole. what do you guys think? Is it worth me getting the Juniors set for the T-Rex? Or get the Carnotorus and hold off for the T-Rex transport
