  1. Damn, poor Will. TLG is no stranger to making terrified kid-faces, but he is sleep-deprived and traumatized. Holy crap- I know this probably isn't the place to discuss it, but I never thought about what Will thought when he first got trapped in the Upside Down. Did he think it was a nightmare at first? Did he maybe think he was in hell? Demigorgon has a closed faceprint - nice. Also, I'm really curious about the structure. Obviously they designed it well enough to hold at first, but like the UCS Slave I shows (don't own one, just know about the issue), gravity's a bitch.
  2. HOW DARE YA DISRESPECT MY MAN HAGRID!?
  3. In the US Netflix rates it TV-14 and in german speaking countries (which are generally a lot less prude and comservative) it's 16+ (same as the LEGO rating, which, as we heard in The LEGO Movie itself, is more of a suggestion). It may not be as groundbreaking as some people belive it to be, but it does create some cracks. Stranger Things as a show itself takes the 80s "for kids" approach. Poltergeist, Gremlins, Ghostbusters, Indiana Jones, Back To The Future, Beetlejuce, Who Framed Roger Rabbit were all originally rated PG, while all of them contain at least on scene, word or theme which would earn them an R-rating nowadays. (F*ck the MPAA raitings board btw)
  4. Very excited about The Office. But if the project falls through, then it's not because of the property, but because they couldn't reach a deal with NBC. The Big Bang Theory (yuck) and Friends sets set a precedent that TLG is most certainly willing to take on licenses of current sitcoms and sitcoms that have been off the air longer that they've been on.
  5. So is TLG done with capes outside of Super Heroes? Just feels like they're really missing since the theme was revived.
  6. Huh, they actually went there with the wizard KKK. Crazy.
  7. Idk, Stranger Things seems like a niche thing. A lot of people say it's not for kids, which is huge BS. While it is mature, it is not exclusively intended for adults like for example GoT or TWD are. But I'm also not saying this doesn't mean anything for the future of licenses. It seems as long as it doesn't include excessive swearing, nudity or bloody gore (though there was Indiana Jones...), it's fair game for TLG.
  8. Could we maybe just lock this thread until the reveal? All this arguing about leaks has no place in a set/theme thread.
  9. I feel like a lot of people don't get why they're waiting for the reveal. The set may be done, but they're most certainly not shipped worldwide yet (at least in appropriate quantities) and they're full on in production at the assembly line. They're counting on bringing in fans of the show and making them customers (ideally VIP) so they're keeping the reveal as close as possible to the release because they're also counting on the hype of the announcement to sell the product. Sorry if my comment is a bit incomprehensible/nonsensical. I'm really tired and also mostly speculating off the top of my mind. That's what I meant with teaser culture as well!
  10. *Based on the Netflix live action remake created by the OG creators of the show.
  11. I think there actually is one above the living room. Bit hard to see. Also- do we only get one bike in the set? That's a tad disappointing, but I guess it's not an uncommon piece.
  12. Well, what'd you expect?
  13. Holy c-rap, that looks amazing! Also, f*ck teaser culture and the lack of Steve! Honestly? The biggest reason I'm excited for this is that LEGO has build a bridge to Netflix, which could result in new Avatar: The Last Airbender sets!!!
  14. Just a heads up; the instagram hashtags are being missused and people are posting Avengers: Endgame Spoilers including leaked scenes. So you might wanna stay clear of looking for LEGO leaks if you intend on seeing the movie spoiler free.

So you might wanna stay clear of looking for LEGO leaks if you intend on seeing the movie spoiler free. I'll myself will be staying clear of even Eurobricks. While I have complete faith in the mods, there are still plenty of sad little a**holes who get off on ruining things for everbody, and the mods can't remove every single one of their posts before they possibly ruin it for somebody. My personal suggestion is that you stay clear of this sub until you've seen the movie, and to the mods I might suggest of locking this thread for a week before international release. All my best to ya'll.

  18. I can't believe we're getting an open shirt Goldblum minifigure. Holy crap, day one purchase for me!
  19. Huh, that explains how well my Wizard of Oz figures are made, I thought I just got lucky! When are we expecting a second HP series? I assume second series of 2020 at the earliest? Or maybe earlier considering how well the theme is doing?
  20. Holy crap, I always wondered. I feel so stupid for not getting this. Why would they be so sparse with recolours otherwise.
  21. I mean, two? Pluto and Goofy. Would that be too far fetched? Honestly, that sounds all fake, real fake. But I just want a Davy Jones (and others from PotC) so badly, yet I can't justify spending over 10 bucks on a single figure (Jones is 50). What are the chances of LEGO bringing PotC into series 3? Slim to none? :(
  22. My thoughts exactly.
  23. Haven't been here in a while, so... I've been largely dissapointed by what we've seen from upcoming sets. The patronus stag looks wrong to me. Buckbeak's head is too detailed compaired to the rest of his body and all the prints we've seen so far have been subpar. Hermoines´'s PoA hair is also completley wrong. 20595 in light redish brown would've been a much better fit (something I thought ever since that piece was introduced). But overall, I'm still fairly excited about the theme and I can't wait to see the new sets!
  24. Oh my! Well designed Marvel sets? I haven't logged on in a while, so I just came here to say damn. It's been a long time since I was actually interested in Marvel sets as a whole as opposed to only wanting the figures (which have also been heavily lacking lately). Kudos to the designer for actually giving a f*ck.
