  1. Sorry, but I haven't been following the thread; whatever happened with that UCS SSD rumor and is there any new info on Cloud City?
  2. Why is everyone so hung up about Ollivander? From the first pic we saw it was obvious he isn't CMFS-quality and definitely not interesting enough for a polybag. It's quite apparent there's some stuff they haven't revealed yet. My money's on a retailer exclusive Diagon Alley where he'll most definitely will be outshined by the other minifigs. I'm still blown away on how they just went all in with this theme.
  3. Disney is cheap, yo.
  4. Wow, WOW. I'm bricking blown away by them. Outstanding job TLG. I've never even thought about getting more than one or two minifigures of each line, yet alone the whole series. Also- I totally knew the Voldemort was real EDIT: My gods, I hadn't even seen the Fantastic Beasts line up! I haven't been this excited about LEGO since I was a kid. I really, really hope this theme is here to stay!
  5. Hey, that's something! Thanks!
  6. So I haven't been following the threat, but so far I haven't found anything anywhere on upcoming sets besides the AMatW set. So is there any info? There's already a pic on a january DC set.
  7. 6000? Seems about right.
  8. Obscure characters like the four founders would be a very unusual choice for a licensed set under normal circumstances, but with J.K. Rowling going through pretty much all the merchandising approving this and that she might've felt like they were appropriate for this particular set and suggested it. Maybe she has some plans when it comes to the founders. Yet I very highly doubt that they're actually in any set. None of them appeared in any of the movies and the representations they had at the theme park and in video games aren't widely known. Just seems like this rumor originated as one of the many irrational minifigure wishes AFOLs present on this site. Then again JK just might surprise us.
  9. That's nothing. That's how the character section on LEGO HP website looked like back in 2011. They added the minifigures when the sets were released. Gosh, I miss the 2011 LEGO marketing...
  10. The designer said the same thing he said in another interview; that they'll see how well these sets sell. No doubt that they'll sell well enough for at least one more wave, but kids these days don't have Harry Potter on their mind that much. As much as I'd love that, y'all shouldn't expect it to become an evergreen theme. Again, don't set yourself up for dissapointment and then blame TLG for not giving you everything you want.
  11. Alright, can a mod please step in to stop this constant whining?! We already have 4 pages worth of that.
  12. Dumbledore with socks is a nice reference to the book, but everyone who read the books knows that that's probably not really what he saw.
  13. This guy gets it. You explained it way better than me.
  14. Well, the only faces we see in the bag are generic Hogwarts students. It's not like the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents had much character either; Alright, maybe the Hoth comparison was unfair, but there are still only so many ways you can split Hogwarts
  15. So you expected a large playset type thing like Assault on Hoth? Well, that sure went well for LEGO. I don't really understand how the people here think sometimes. Look at it from a business standpoint; LEGO releases The Great Hall and The Whooping Willow set. The 100 buck flagship is gonna be under a lot of Christmas trees this year. The budget option or "birthdays expansion" is gonna sell out greatly too. Now all the kids/people who bought either or both would gladly get another part of the castle, maybe they'll release the clocktower or Dumbledore's office. So a few months pass and people check up on new Harry Potter sets, and low and behold: the only option is a 500 bucks playset. Going by your logic it would include 4-5 Great Hall sized builds. There would barely be anything more to add to Hogwarts after that. Again, your disappointment is your own fault.
  16. I haven't read through the thread, but the discussion is based on a tease LEGO made about a Bond themed... something. Now I'm not sure what is going on with TLG sometimes, since they deemed both The Simpsons (a highly inappropriate, unfunny and crude show these days) and The Big Bang Theory (a show about sexually frustrated nerd stereotypes) appropriate for their brand. And you can nitpick a lot crazy of things associated with any license LEGO bases sets on. But where I am from James Bond is strongly associated with the line "A Licensee to Kill"(Bond 16). So I really don't think LEGO would produce a line on something like Bond. Maybe an Ideas set, but nothing else. I think it's most likely what most people already think, an MI6 modified Aston Martin. But then again, I've only seen Casino Royale and I know jack-brick about cars. Sorry if this disrupts the thread.
  17. I was really confused about the hauler Qi'Ra, but it seems be based on her appearance in the bar. For anyone who is still confused like I was.
  18. So I've been quietly following this threat since the beginning and I rarely ever add to the conversation on this site, but with the reaction to the microscale I just gotta say; WHAT DID YOU EXPECT?! It's 500-600 bucks. With the price to piece ratio in the upcoming wave we can assume TLG is being generous so that's about 5000-7000 pieces. For context: that is about 11/2 Death Stars. Now imagine taking that amount of pieces and building a minifig scale, UCS quality section of Hogwarts. Wanna built the Great Hall? There already is a flagship Great Hall set with plenty and exclusive minifigures. So let's try something else-wouldn't be that easy now, would it? I really don't want to be rude, but if you're disappointed by this then it's your own fault. Now what I'm asking is that we stop this "LEGO sucks for not giving me what I want" or "nobody is gonna buy it" type of circlejerking so many threads fall in to these days. It's a microscale, that's it. If you're not happy about that, I'm sorry, but let's keep this discussion positive. Harry Potter is back after 7 years! There is plenty of Hogwarts being offered and there will surely be more to come. I for one was always a fan of this 2000 piece MOC from LEGO Ideas, so I guess we can expect something along the line of this 3x; https://ideas.lego.com/projects/e843928c-e73f-4343-b75e-6bb93145c781 EDIT: Also, the microfigs look neat. Seems to include students of every house.
  19. So, uhm... Any news? @Sir von Lego? @just2good? Anyone?
  20. Wasn't there a rumor about a new UCS Star Destroyer like half a year ago? Or did that just turn out to be the Last Jedi one?
  21. So four... somethings? No idea. First if thought of constraction figures- but fighters? Might be a new type of set. Three "Battlefront II" construction figures. Hero might be Rey or a Clone Trooper and villain might be Maul a Battle-Droid. And Inferno is self-explanatory Four Battle-Backs at least two (if not all) "Battlefront II" themed. Ach-To set confirmed. Might be something like 7257 Ultimate Lightsaber Duel. Imperial Corvette! Full sized "Battlefront II" set! Raider-class corvette used by Inferno Squadron! (-probably) And TBC WAR ROOM is very possibly another "Battlefront II" set- altough it could also be from the resistance. I'm just speculating here so don't get any ideas. So TLJ sets hit shelves in September and Battlefront releases on Nov. 17- so Star Wars thread 2018? But if they release in Europe in early december doesn't it still belong here? It's Eurobricks after all.
  22. Guess dissapointment's a part of life, compadre.
  23. Well - a bit more pessimism than I've anticipated - you gotta have hope, guys!
  24. Oh - don't be so sure about that. I know most things usually leak trough - but we've seen that LEGO can keep some secrets...
  25. (First Post here!) So I've read rumors (and I think some reliable sources confirmed Dimensions-Packs) about new FB sets that we're getting this year - but some sources claimed that they haven't heard anything about sets this year. So some speculated that we'd maybe get set next year. Then this morning I've read the wikipedia-page for the upcoming movie (just to check the date). I scrolled down and under the section Release I found the following: I'm fully aware that anyone can edit Wikipedia- but it sertantly wasn't me -and everthing else under Release seemed to be accurate. So is it confirmed then? Or did anyone from here edit that? You can check it out yourself: bit.ly/27K9ylE P.S. If I'm right - may I have permission to change the Topic title into "Fantastic Beasts 2016 Rumors and Discussion"?
