  1. lol, simple but brilliant.
  2. Nice one. You did an excellent job recreating the original. And quite some nice techniques you used.
  3. Nice layout. I like what you did with the different levels.
  4. Nice, really nice. Amazing you got that to work with those colours. The nose is very clever and although I am not really fond of stickers as wind screens I wouldn't know how to do it any better. And the domes are stunning as well. Top job!
  5. Absolutely amazing! You showed us your progress but to see it completely now is unbelievable.
  6. Very ingenious.
  7. That's looking really good. Nice work on the details on the side. And the sloped front is excellent.
  8. it turned out perfect! Really nice brickwork and the rock structure is really good as well. I think it is the best lighthouse I have seen. And I actually like the fact that you made it square. I think that was an excellent choice. In the Netherlands there are quite some lighthouses that are square as well. There are ones in Ouddorp, Terschelling, Westkapelle, Harlingen, Enkhuizen, Noordwijk and Katwijk for example.
  9. This is how I managed:
  10. Nice tunnel. It has some great details. I like those steps for example.
  11. LOL, now that's a crocodile locomotive alright!
  12. Yes, that's my option too. And it works very well.
  13. Another great addition!
  14. I am stunned. I have never seen such a perfect fire station before. Very realistic and well executed build.
  15. Really great work. It is a very impressive combination now. And it seems to go around the track very smoothly.
  16. Thank you all for your nice comments! I would love to, but I guess it needs some more work on the sides first. Good question. I am already wondering how to move it from the living room to the study/LEGO room... Thank you and it should hold beautiful FLIRTS without a problem. It will sag it bit further but nothing disastrous.
  17. Impressive work. You couldn't have done much better.
  18. Really nice. Good improvement to get rid of the flags. It is perfect now. Also the interior is impressive. And a clever idea to make a balcony to reduce the amount of bricks. It works out very well.
  19. Thank you. Of course it can: But the 2.4 liter jug is the biggest we have here so I hope you don't mind I added the book and the "stroopwafels" to compensate for the difference compared to the gallon milk jugs you have. I haven't really noticed any additional sagging with trains on it. I guess it is like with real bridges. The weight of the bridge itself is most important.
  20. Wow, wow wow. This is absolutely amazing.
  21. Hello all, I can finally present you my new bridge. It is 304 studs long, so that's more than 2.4m (or almost 8 feet) and I used about 12500 bricks: The thought of making a bridge started years ago and the design also took quite some time with a lot of design iterations in LDD. I can still see where I can make some improvements though ... But for now I consider it finished. It was inspired by a bridge I used to cross quite often in my student days. (Link) To be honest I first thought of using the railway bridge on the other side of that city but that would have resulted in an even larger bridge... I have seen many other truss LEGO bridges using the TECHNIC bricks but I wanted to have a cleaner look: And I am also satisfied with the cross bracing on the top and bottom In the end it has some sagging in the middel of about four plates. It seems a lot but considering the span it actually poses no problems for my trains. I am also busy with the design for the sides of the bridge. There is still some space to fill. The idea is to make a road underneath with a bicycle path next to it. But what do you think? Feel free to comment.
  22. Thank you. My HE runs with two motors. I found it works well. I guess the Jacobs bogies and the relative light weight of the carriages help as well. I showed my passenger car earlier but it has been a while: http://www.eurobricks.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=59830&hl=%2Bwide+%2Blong You can probably find more examples of others as well.
  23. Well, I have the following trains: All standard LEGO sets although I made all my HE carriages with Jacobs bogies. I did build one 7 wide, 52 long passenger car for the EN and there are plans for more. And to be honest the 7725 and 171 are in storage but complete.
  24. I always wanted to have 7866 when I was a kid, but you even took it a level up. Great job.
