10197 Fire Brigade, Theme: Modular Buildings -duplicate- Here is another attempt. 10197 Fire Brigade.lxf This one is also a duplicate, but I found it a challenge to do it myself. It has no missing parts apart from the string attaching the bell to the tower. And I had to omit one of the sticks w. holder #48729 behind the "1932". I used the groups function in LDD. All floors are seperate groups.

A Really good review, thanks. I am amazed. I always thought it was a nice set, but to see it in action. Wow, better than expected. A pitty they don't sell them anymore.

This brings back memories. It is indeed one of the best city houses ever. I should rebuilt mine too. Without the sticker though. That one dissapeared sometime during all the building up and breaking down... I never put stickers on anymore these days.

I don't know what to say. This is awesome. You give me too many ideas. My house is not big enough for that.

Nice review. And I totally agree that the cars are cool but the price is a bit steep. Still, I will probably get a set anyway.

Wow, that's impressive . I especially like the garage entrance. It looks very realistic. Also the the security camera's are amazing. Nice attention to detail. I am not convinced about the cars however, but don't ask me to do it better. I still have a lot to learn.

Oops. My apologies (how could I miss that?) They look interesting though. However they seem a bit large and expensive.

Thanks a lot. I updated my file. I knew about the LDD color chart, but still it is hard with these metallic colors and Bricklink is indeed very inconsistent about these.

10185 Green Grocer, Theme: Modular Buildings -duplicate- Here is my attempt. 10185_green_grocer.lxf I saw Johnnhiszippy3 made this before with several missing parts in LDD3. I was busy with these before I saw his creation and I am really impressed by his work. I mainly made this to see how my own models would look like with possible next MOC's, but still wanted it to be as accurate as possible. But this model is complete, as far as I can tell. I used my own instructions, but still had to check occasionally with my real built set for the colours. It took some effort to put some of the pieces in place, as you can see especially the bins have some fruit repellent characteristics. Also the printing on the torsos is missing with some of the minifigs. The only thing that I doubt is the choice of colour for the parts: radiator grille 1x2. I used 150 metallic light grey, but I am not convinced, nor satisfied. Anyone has a better suggestion or is their another topic for that? (I also tried 131 silver but have the same doubts about that colour) Furthermore I used the groups function in LDD. All floors are seperate groups.

Even if it is just a small piece of the bone, it would be ok with me. I'm not sure if I can stand the wait until September. Then again, it would be better for my wallet...

Well I also got the box for series 3. Unfortunately only two fisherman. A bit frustated I decided to pay a visit to a toy store. There were two boxes. One almost full the other 2/3 full but I managed to find only one using the dots plus feeling. The fisherman is a difficult one to distinguish by the dots, or someone else was there first. But what I noticed about the minifigures was the lack of spare parts. In series 1 and 2 we had the spare part e.g. visors, while in series 3 not. Anyone else finds this odd?

Same here with the checking a couple of times a day. How come all these other sets for late 2011 are already know and the next modular not. Ok, those will be available in all the shops, but still. Are we sure the release will be around April, and not later this year?

Hello everybody, I have been wandering about at Eurobricks for some time now, so I thought it was about time that I joined Eurobricks. I am a LEGO fan for about 35 years now and depending on my available budget (which was non-existent during my studies...) have been collecting LEGO regularly. Lately I have been able to gather some more than in the past. The local store with very reasonable prices I found here in Delft in The Netherlands also helped. I recently reorganised my LEGO and hope to do some MOC-ing in a short while. I have been fiddling around with LDD to see wether some ideas would work or not. My main interests are in Town related themes. Although I must say that some of the new POTC and Kingdoms sets look quite interesting as well. It is all to tempting. But my favourites are the Modular buildings. You can see my line-up in the picture (I found the Shanghai Chase fitted very well). Well, I hope to be around for a while and will try do my small contribution. Man with a hat
