Hello everybody! Like promised, after the previous review of 4441 Forest Police Dog Unit here's my review of 4205: 4205 Off-Road Command Centre Firstly the box: The polybags, the instructions and the sticker sheet: Bag one is for building the boat. Bag two and three are for building the unimog. And bag three is for building the trailer. There is one new part in this set - the life vest: Spare parts: The minifigures: The boat: The trailer: The unimog: And at least the set as whole: All in all I give this set an Average because of following reasons: Pro: -detailed interior inside the control center -very realistic looking vehicles Con: -much too huge unimog (looks more like Playmobil than Lego) -boat fits only two minifigures -overpriced (with its 40 Euros minimum 10) -nearly no accessory comparing the size of the set -as a police set it looks strange I must honestly regrettably admit that if I had again the chance to buy this set, I wouldn't do so. Don't get me wrong: The vehicles look very realistic and offer a lot of playability. But they (esp. the unimog) are much too huge (whcih I regrettably didn't get from the pictures before buying this set) and for 40 Euros this set is definately overpriced. Like grogall already mentioned, it would have fit much better as a THW set than as a forest police set. I hope this review helped you. What do you think? Btw: Supposably tomorrow evening I'm adding the third and for now last review - the 4206 Recycling Truck which is imo one of the best sets of this year. Greetings Klaus-Dieter

Some minutes ago 4205 (forest police mobile command center) arrived via DHL and yesterday I even bought 4206 (recycling truck). I plan to do reviews on both sets in the next days. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you very much for this great review, Hinckley! I really like this set - so I voted for outstanding  for the following reasons: Con: -no regular minifigures but dolls -no side walls in the backmost part of the building -no roof -only two seats and only one table on the terrace Pro: -good price ratio performance -much and amazing accessory -awesome architectual style -decent interior I can't await to get this set and the beauty shop to add them to my city - of course without the dolls . Hello everybody and a happy new year! I bought 4441 yesterday and so I decided to do my first review. Here it is: 4441 Forest Police Dog Unit Firstly the box: The three polybags, the sticker sheet and the two building instructions: Bag one is for building firstly the cabriolet and then the small gold mine. Bag two and bag three are for building the police van. There are two completely new molds in this set: a smaller car wing and a new piece for trees to hold four knobs (of which you can find a picture in the review of the fire truck someone posted here) The criminal and the forest police officer: The two dogs: The gold mine with beehive and two gold barrels: The dark-red and black cabriolet: The forest police dog van: The dogs inside the van: The criminal in the little "cell" in the back of the van: All in all I give this set an above average because of following reasons: Con: -no car doors for the cabriolet -a poacher or at least a criminal in civilian outfit would have been much better -with its 30 Euros imo 5 Euros too expensive -no new dogs Pro: -amazing looking and very detailed forest police dog van -beehive is a neet detail -great design of the cabriolet (apart from the missing car doors) -with the new forest police theme TLG gives us some police sets which are much more interesting than always only the regular urban police sets I really like this set and don't regret to have bought it. What do you think? I hope that this review was useful and helped you. Greetings Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for the information and the pics! Now finally my judgement on the first half of 2012 SW OT sets: 9493 X-Wing Starfighter -design is ok -nice new minifigure and droid -I'm missing some sort of transport vehicle, a small base of something similar to that 9492 TIE Fighter -design is ok -nice new droid -new Imp. Trooper's helmet looks bad -since they did a new torso design for the Imp. Officer, it's really a shame that TLG didn't give him a different and new rank 9495 Gold Leader's Y-Wing Starfighter -design is ok -nice two new minifigures and droid 9489 Endor BP -speeder bike looks ok -tree is nice addition -black-suited Imp. Officer is missing -backpacks for the Endor Rebels are missing 9490 Droid Escape -good design of the escape pod -bike is nice addition -great to get a white shoulder pattern -only the overdetailed torso and headgear printings on the Sandtroopers are bad (TLG should have used the regular Stormtroppers for Sandtroopers (like they did before, too)) I'm happy that we'll get a fleesh Lobot. That there will be a new Jabba's Palace is great. Hopefully TLG takes this chance and won't make that a shame out of it like they did with this year's Hoth Echo Base (which because of its over-<insert that tiresome argument> style don't buy). A new Dessert Skiff is of course welcome, too, but please with minimum one new minifigure. Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for the information and the pics! Now finally my judgement on the first half of 2012 City sets: 4441 Police Dog Van -great police dog van -cabriolet looks good, but the car doors are missing -entrance to the gold mine is a nice addition 4440 Forest Police Station -amazing looking police station with lots of authentic details -great vehicles -nice tree with ambush and fly agaric 4439 Heavy-Lift Helicopter -looks well buit -but I dont' get why the police does need that a huge helicopter -much too huge (even if it's in size more realistic) -pity that it is a police heli and not a regular non-police cargo helicopter 4438 "Prisoners' Hideout" ??? (Forest Police Command Centre is 4205 of which we haven't got any pictures til now) -hut looks great -but the police jeep looks bad without car doors and 6 studs wide -cabriolet looks good, but car doors are missing -question is even how decent the interior will be like 4437 Police Pursuit -police quad bike is ok -but monster truck looks bad without car doors 4436 Patrol Car -great looking patrol car, only car doors are missing -barrier is a perfect addition -only the prisoner is needless 4435 Car and Caravan ??? -caravan looks from the outside excellent -only question is how decent the interior will be like -car is ok, but car doors are missing 4434 Tipper Truck -truck looks excellent -pushcart is a nice addition 4433 Dirt Bike Transporter -fwd looks ok, but car doors are missing -a new torso for the motorcyclists would have been nice 4432 Garbage Truck  -looks excellent -like the many garbage accessory which comes with it 4431 Ambulance  -looks stunning -like that there is even some interior inside the ambulance and that there comes a lot of accessory with it -only the sidewalk plate looks strange since it is curved 4430 Mobile Fire Command Centre -nice idea -but much too huge vehicles 4427 Fire ATV -small but fine -like the many accessory which comes with it 4209 Fire Plane -plane is really big but looks good -fire car looks great -burning tree and regular tree are great additions 4208 4 by 4 Fire Truck -looks amazing -like the many accessory and the burning tree which come with it 4206 Recycling Truck  -looks awesome -like the many accessory and the pushcart which come with it All in all: I must say that the majority of the first half of 2012 sets is very well done - especially the more civilian oriented cars which I plan to get since they really look brilliant. The new torsos and the pushcart are great. My top three sets are: 1. recycling station 2. ambulance 3. recycling truck I really hope that TLG will continue with some of these amazing more civilian oriented cars in 2012 and later! Klaus-Dieter

Winter Village Sets - Rumours and Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Gearslover01's topic in LEGO Town
It's a good question which set we'll get in the Winter Village range next year. I find it very hard to say since I personally would even never have thought that we'll get a post office in this theme. So apart from religious elements and crime nearly everything is possible. Nevertheless I could well imagine that we'll get a candy shop or an apothecary. A general store might well be, too. But I can't imagine that we'll get a train station without train (since then the winter train is missing (not everybody had the chance to get one) or a gas station (imo much more supposably in the regular City theme) or a music store (I'm not convinced that there are enough people which would buy one). And although I really would like to get a Winter Village family home, I doubt that we'll get one because of the reason already mentioend that until now we only got shops. So the only thing which lasts is regrettably to wait and see. Klaus-Dieter -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for these pics, eos512, and for this information, nrg! TLG did a good job with giving the tree in the Endor BP finally a brown and not a grey color. I'm really disappointed that the Cloud Car will only be a Planet set and not a regular set. Nevertheless at least we have the chance to get a Bespin Guard. Combining all this, I think the OT fans under us can await following sets for summer 2012: 9677 Planet set: X-Wing Starfighter & Yavin 4 Rebel Trooper - 9,99 Euros 9678 Planet set: Twin-Pod Cloud Car & Bespin Guard - 9,99 Euros 9679 Planet set: AT-ST & Endor Rebel Trooper - 9,99 Euros xxxx Desert Skiff - 26,99 Euros xxxx Jabba's Palace - 149,99 Euros What do you think? LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for this information and for the link, djmangunz! I don't have got big doubts about this list being wrong since I only remember one time in the last years when one of the prelim sets Jedinews listed was wrong. Desert Skiff Nice idea. But imo it should be released together with the Sail Barge (like last time) - especially since I missed to get the Sail Barge. Since all SW sets in the last years included some sort of "conflict", I hope that the Desert Skiff will not only come with Luke and Han, but even with a new guard. Cloud Car It's really time for a re-design of this one. But I hoped that it will be included in a huge CC playset (similar to 10188). Since the Cloud Car will come seperately, I fear that we won't see any CC the next years. I hope that it won't only include Lobot, but even a CC guard and a Cloud Car pilot. AT-ST Endor I'm not that convinced about this idea. I mean: For sure it will only be much bigger than the version in The Battle of Endor and therefore won't go with that one. Plus I can't imagine which new figs (the AT-ST Driver will for sure get that new helemt - but that's nevertheless no new fig) they could include there. Jabba's Palace I'm really surprised that it'll be a regular sold set since I expected it to be a S@H Exclusive. The pro this has is that it for sure won't be more expensive than 150 Euros. But the big con it has is that it consequently firstly won't include many and mainly not many new minifigures and that it very supposably won't be big and won't have many rooms and decent location. Of course we can't say before having seen at least some prelim pictures. But if Jabba's Palace will be like this year's Hoth Echo Base set, it would be a shame and I would pass it as I did with the Hoth Echo Base set. I'm really excited to see how these sets - esp. Jabba's Palace - will turn out. But regrettably we surely won't get any prelims before around Christmas (like in the last years). Klaus-Dieter -
New Lego 10223 Kingdoms Joust Exclusive
Klaus-Dieter replied to I Scream Clone's topic in LEGO Historic Themes
Thank you very much for this information and for these pics, I Scream Clone! It's great that we finally get a decent joust set which has been overdue since decades! This set does look absolutely  ! Although I don't like some things (only a falcon knight but no falcon soldier to assist him, supposably no interior in the light blue cottage, no seats for the king and the queen, no place for minifigs inside the tents, only very few accessory) and imo the price is 20 Euros too much, I must say that it's a perfect addition to MMV. Klaus-Dieter -
That's a great and very interersting topic, Fives! I really, really hope that Kingdoms will continue at least for one more year in order to get a huge castle for the dragon knights, a new faction and mainly a siege tower which is since long overdue. If TLG stopped Kingdoms in order to replace it (at least for one year) with a licensed medieval theme, they should replace their slogan from "Just imagine" to "Just replay". I mean: I'm a huge Lego SW fan, but as great as these sets are - what makes Lego Lego are for me still the non-licensed themes. But to be honest I fear that Kingdoms will see its end with the end of this year. There are clear signs: Firstly we know that there'll be some LotR sets in 2012. Cwetqo told us so and he has always been right - so why shouldn't he be this time, too?! And since this is (even if fantasy based) a medieval theme, I highly doubt that TLG will release more castle sets at least in the first year of the start of this licensed theme Secondly there is the Joust set. In 2009 we got MVV which marked the end of Castle - so it's imo very likely that it'll be the same this time, too. But let's hope that we think all wrong and that there will be some more Kingdoms sets in 2012, too, although there'll be that LotR license. Klaus-Dieter

Thank you all very much for these links to those pics! Since my internet works only very badly at the moment and since I because of that missed the earlier pics: Can someone please send me a link to somewhere where he/she saved the pics of the police station, the big recycling truck and the mobile fire station (since I can't find these pics anywhere)? That would be very neat. I completely agree with you, David Thomsen! As much as I would welcome a new hospital, I think it's very unlikely that we'll get one in the next years since this ambulance comes seperately. Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for the link to this picture, Bane! Series 6 looks completely amazing! Together with series 4 these are the best two minifigures series of series 1-6. I now only comment on the before not seen minifigures (and there even only the ones in which I'm interested): The Roman legionnaire and the surgeon look completely amazing! I only hope that in the final version the surgeon will have a scalpel. I really like it that TLG releases a bandit in addition to the cowboy, Indian and Indian chief! The woman's (Which job does she have?) teddy looks lovely. The flamenco dancer looks good. Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for this information, mirandir! That the camper itself will be six studs wide and the car four studs wide sounds to me very promising. I'm really hoping for a decent and fitting interior in the camper (and not that a disappointing one like in the 2009 Camper). Klaus-Dieter

Hello everybody! The last time I was really busy (and regrettably still am) because I'm moving to a new home and additionally am at the moment a bit ill. So I regrettably hadn't (and still haven't) enough time to comment on all of your great entires so far and was regrettably not able to build an entry for category 2 (which I really regret since I had some good ideas). Nevertheless I took some time to build at least an entry for category 3. Here it is: Smoking the pipe of peace The Indian Chief Big Bear and cowboy Thompsen are smoking the pipe of peace: Here a closer look with cowboy Thompsen with the pipe of peace as my "custom" minifigure: View from the other three sites: I hope you like it. Comments are welcome! Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for this information, Cwetqo! To avoid misunderstandings: Will only the car or even the camper be only four studs wide? If the camper was indeed only four studs wide, this would really be very disappointing since this would mean that there for sure won't be a decenet interior included (apart from that it would really look strange in addition to Lego's current City vehicles of which the bigger ones are always six studs wide). LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for the link to these pictures, Bane! The X-Wing doesn't look very exciting. But the new minifigure and the new droid surely will be (regrettably there are no pics of those two there). The Endor BP doesn't look very exciting, too. I dislike that flick-fire missile and the tree which is mostly grey (it should be a tree, not a rock). Which is even bad is that there comes no new minifigure with the set. But although it's really a pity that the Sandtroopers don't wear white shoulder patterns (the only ones TLG hasn't done yet) and that there's no (new) Bantha included, Droid Escape is really an amazing set and for 27 Euros for it is even a (not cheap but) reasonable price. LEGO Collectable Minifigures Series 6 Discussion
Klaus-Dieter replied to Rufus's topic in Special LEGO Themes
Thank you very much for this information, Stiel! A legionnaire would be and for sure be one of the most sold and wanted minifigures ever. I'm really looking forward to series 6. Klaus-Dieter -
LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Thank you very much for these links, nrg! Since online toy shops are always a bit cheaper than regular toy shops, I'd go for: X-Wing: 69,99 Euros TIE Fighter: 49,99 Euros Droid Escape: 26,99 Euros Endor BP: 15,99-16,99 Euros I could well imagine the Y-Wing being in the same price than the X-Wing. What do you think? Klaus-Dieter -
According to that there'll be a recycling truck (additional to the garbage truck). I bet that this recycling truck will either be the March or June limited edition sets we have been getting the last years. Do you think that the recycling truck will be only a huge tipper truck with some garbage, a truck with two or three seperate open containers and a crane to fill in garbage or a truck with a crane to load and enload containers (like this (or last?) years Technic version)? Taking into account that this is an internet shop where the prices for the sets are a bit lower than in regular toy shops, I'd go for following list (the release dates are guesses without any hints): 4431 Ambulance: 19,99 Euros (January) 4432 Garbage Truck: 19,99 Euros (January) 4433 Dirt Bike Transporter: 19,99 Euros (January) 4434 Tipper Truck: 19,99 Euros (January) 4435 Car and Caravan: 19,99 Euros (January) 4436 Police Patrol Car: 9,99 Euros (January) 4437 Police Pursuit: 15,99 Euros (January) 4439 Police Heavy Lift Helicopter: 39,99 Euros (January) 4440 Forest Police Station: 69,99 Euros (January) 4441 Police Dog Van: 29,99 Euros (January) 4442 Crooks Hideout: ??? (limited edition, not in regular toy shops, January) 4205 Off Road Command Centre: ??? (limited edition, not in regular toy shops, January) 4427 Fire ATV: ??? (March/April) 4208 4x4 Fire Truck: 19,99 Euros (March/April) 4209 Fire Plane: 49,99 Euros (March/April) 4430 Fire Transporter: 49,99 Euros (March/April) xxxx Recycling Truck: 29,99 Euros (limited edition, March/June) What do you think? I, too, am really looking forward to some of these sets - esp. the camper and the dump truck which are since long overdue. It's time that we get pics! (Regrettably I had no chance to look at some this year.) Klaus-Dieter

LEGO Star Wars 2012 Pictures and Rumors
Klaus-Dieter replied to XimenaPaulina's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Again only UCS sets as huge 10xxx Exclusives in 2012 - that's really bad news. TLG seems to have forgotten that there are even Lego SW OT fans which do want big sets but no UCS sets. Klaus-Dieter -
Thank you very much for this information, grogall! Since this info was posted on that shop (which has always been right) and since I remember that someone with good conditions here on EB already told us that we'll be getting an UCS B-Wing and a CC styled Town Hall in 2012, I have absolutely no doubts that it's correct. It's a shame that we again get only UCS sets as 10xxx sets in 2012. I don't care about Creator sets - so I even don't care about the plane and the town hall. But "Kingdoms Joust" does really sound very promising! The only bad thing is that this is a clear hint that we won't get any more regular sold Kingdoms sets in 2012 (because of Lord of the Rings and that "Kingdoms Joust"). I hope for a re-design of this set but much bigger, maybe with more tents and a small medieval fair. I can't await the last day of September when we very supposably will get pics of and information on this set. I completely agree with you, L@go. I bet that the Kingdoms Joust will be the January Exclusive since 10223 comes directly after 10222. As for the others: The plane for sure will be released in summer together with the UCS R2. The UCS B-Wing supposably will be released in fall. And the Town Hall maybe will be released in spring (like last year's Creator mall). Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for this news, Mirandir! I'm really surprised that we'll get again Fire and Police sets although we had many of them this and last year. New torsos for the firemen as well as for the policemen are always welcome since they're set in a different location than the regular police- and firemen. Since they're forest based and reading the descriptions of them, I'd say these sound really interesting and could include lots of potential. But I don't judge before having seen pics since (like it was already said) it'll very much depend on the design of the sets, how much decent, detailed or <insert that tiresome argument> they look like. The only bad thing is that with these two themes there is only one wave (namely the summer wave) left for some bigger civilian sets - hopefully we'll then get no RSQ sets but some civilian buildings, shops etc. But with the new Girl's theme (although it's regrettably not minifig scale) I see there less possibilites. Only to avoid misunderstandings: Is the command center a building (like a small fire station) or is it some sort of container set up on the truck? I hope that we'll get pics soon. Klaus-Dieter
-
It's a surprise that - after years of having waves only with vehicles and buildings together - we get vehicles on their own. These vehicles sound great! The most I'm looking forward to the car with camper. Hopefully the car as well as the camper will have car doors and the camper a decent interior. And I hope that all the other trucks and cars will include car doors, too. I could well imagine every car/truck to be around the same price like this year's prison transporter (17 Euros), including two minifigs and some additional stuff, e. g.: -car with camper: male and female civilian, suitcase, two cups -truck: two construction workers with new yellow helmets, jackhammer -garbage truck: two workers, shovel, brush, dustbin(s) -4x4: driver and motorcycler, motorcycle -ambulance: paramedic, patient, stretcher, oxygen resuscitation apparatus What do you think? I'm really hoping for some civilian buildings in 2012 (cafe/restaurant, Lego Store, hotel, grocery, supermarket etc.) - but I fear that we won't see (m)any. Klaus-Dieter
-
Thank you very much for this great review, DarkFader! I voted for poor. Pro: -two new lovely Ewoks -brick-built tree Con: -tree is too low -no Stormtrooper -only three minifigs -much, much too expensive for what you get -overloaded with action elements Klaus-Dieter
