  1. Do you mean a TV theme? Well, we got the TV heli this year. So a broadcast van is well possible. But I highly doubt a whole theme - although it would be amazing to get a news studio. Well, you might be right. It was only because I thought about which 10 Euro / Dollars set TLG could release. Since it's a pity that we didn't get one in the Great Vehicles theme this year. Thank you very much for this news, legomilk! How many cars / trucks does the fire station include? And will there finally be some - or at least one - huge fire truck(s) without ladder (something similar to the 2012 forest fire truck)? Can you please inform us about which other themes we'll get in 2016? This would be great! Klaus-Dieter
  2. Thank you very much for the press release, Hinckley! In general, I'm absolutely no Ninjago fan! But this set is really amazing! Con: - ugly Ninjago minifigures (the futuristic looking ninjas) - a lot of money - no fishing lines to the pivots - only one chair in the "tea room" of the castle - only very little interior to the first floor ot the blacksmith shop - no interior to the second floor of the blacksmith shop (TLG could have at least added a chair and a table or a bed) Pro: - decent number of accessory - rockets canon for firework display - female painter, salesman and mainly mailman are excellent minifigures - very universally usuable set: for Castle / Ninja (as small village and ninja castle), as a historical open-air museum for City or as a fun park for City - very nice bridge - lovely landscape - stunning architecture of all three buildings Klaus-Dieter
  3. To stay realistic: It's sure that we'll get a new Fire theme (last one in 2013): - fire HQ - fire boat - "ladder truck" - fire heli And a Police subtheme is imo very supposably, too - maybe some special forces (last ones in 2013): - bank robbery (last bank in 2011) - money transport robbery (last money transport in 2011) - special forces heli (last one in 2013) For the Great Vehicles theme I bet for: - pisten bully (in addition to this year's snow plow) - doube decker bus / travel bus / city bus with or without small station (last one in 2013) - postal / parcel logistic van (last one in 2008) - garbage truck (last one in 2012) - street sweeper (the small one back in 2013, the last big one in 2010) - small car (last one in 2010) Since there's a station called "Harbor" in the 60097 City Square and since TLG has been giving us those hints from time to time, and since the last harbor theme had been in 2011, I could well imagine a new Harbor theme: - cargo ship with crane and dock (last one in 2007) - civilian harbor (last one in 2011) - small yacht (last one in 2011) - car ferry or a mega-set such as 60097 containing parts of all these together Yes, a new Emergeny theme is very supposably, too. I hope that not again CG. A new and decent hospital would be amazing. But I highly doubt it. Then could more imagine that we got a mountain rescue theme. Farm had been released back in 2008 and 2009. But since TLG hasn't released a single set or line after that, I fear that there won't be any new farm sets next year. Since this year Friends is getting an Airport subtheme, I highly doubt we'll see one in City already next year. As for a circus, zoo or safari theme: I really, really would highly welcome these themes and they're since long overdue. But I highly doubt that the City theme will offer us these sets since Friends would unluckily take them. Klaus-Dieter
  4. Thank you very much for the two pictures, CM4Sci! If this exaclty was the exclusive Echo Base, then good night! I hoped for TLG finally giving us what we want as an exclusive Echo Base: some seperate rooms inside with walls and a decent interior. But it seems as if TLG re-releases the Echo Base from 2007 in a more modern way. If so, that would be really, really disappointing! Klaus-Dieter
  5. Here are some wishes for parts which already exist, but not in the according color: - bracelet upper part 33291 in white - bracelet upper part 33291 in regular blue - bracelet upper part 33291 in orange - limb element 2417 in white (had already been produced, but isn't still longer available) - limb element 2417 in lavender - limb element 2417 in yellow - flowers 93081 in blue - flowers 93081 in white - flowers 93081 in lavender Klaus-Dieter
  6. Thank you all very much for the pictures, links and information! Although we've got now many official pics and even some reviews, I'm still unsure what to think about this set: Con: - nearly no accessory - entrances in the engine are to small - digger needs a smaller shovel in the back - missing tailboards sideways on the two coaches (for the heli and for the excavator) Pro: - nice heli - nice red engine - great excavator - hopper waggon looks good - crane is with its tracks awesome To put it in a nutshell: There are many parts of the set which do look professional, but at the same time there are others which really look <insert that tiresome argument>. Because of this I personally would have prefered to pay 20 Euros more but therefore get more accessory and details! So it's even hard to decide whether this set is the money worth to buy it or whether I should keep my money better for something else. That's a great double-decker coach, andythenorth! Oh man - how amazing would it be if TLG released a double-decker coach! But I fear that this will never take place! Klaus-Dieter
  7. Thank you all very much for the pics, links and information! The Imperial Shuttle is much better than I awaited! Con: - gangway is too far in the back - no imperial minifigures - landing gear is to low Pro: - nice accessory - nice interior in the back - excellent build - great interior in the cockpit - landing gear to swing out - finally a gangway!!! Imo the new IS is a huge improvement over the last System scale version(s)! Btw: Do you think that the exclusive Hoth Base will include an AT-ST, too? Klaus-Dieter
  8. Thank you all very much for the (links to the) reviews, the videos, pictures, links and information! Con: - 180 Euros - difficult to store and does need much place to store - only 10 minifigures - no "glow in the dark"-elements - no trucks - no additional stalls (apart from the minimalistic ice-cream stand) Pro: - although very small, even very nice ice-cream stand - many gondolas - huge - excellent build Although I listed more cons as pros, all in all this set is amazing! I really hope that TLG will continue the Folk Festival theme with an exclusive set next year, too - but then please again with small additional stalls (and transport vehicles)! A carousel together with a shooting gallery and a candy or sausage stall would be perfect! Klaus-Dieter
  9. Thank you all very much for the (links to the) reviews, the videos, pics, links and information! Imo the Grand Hotel is the best Friends set we've seen so far! The airport sets are nice - but two girlish for my taste. The limo looks decent - but six studs wide and open doesn't make it for me. The grocery is the worst Friends set so far! I'm looking forward to what 2016 will bring! I could well imagine a market garden and / or a supermarket. As for the huge summer set I fear for either a zoo or a ciruc. Fear? Yes, because the Friends animals are absolutely inproportional and don't fit in combination with City sets. Klaus-Dieter
  10. Thank you all very much for the (links to the) reviews, the videos, pics, links and information! The deep sea exploration vessel's interior is much more accurate than I would have feared - we're even getting two beds downstairs! The City Square still is and stays one of the best City sets ever! I know that it's already a bit early - but according to Lego City 2016: 1. On the sign on the tram stop in 60097 there is a sticker which has "harbor" as a tram stop on it. Might this be a hint for next year's harbor set(s)? If so: Do you think that harbor will get its own subtheme (like it was in 2011) or "only" a mega set like 60097? 2. Since we got a snow plow this year, my predictions for next year's Great Vehicles are: - pisten bully - street sweeper (the last big one was released in 2010 in the PTC) - small car 3. Fire is for sure one of next year's themes. I bet that there even will be a police subtheme - supposably some special forces (like in 2013). But which other themes could be there? Imo very likely Harbor (or at least this as a mega set). Personally I hope that there won't be a Coast Guard theme. But a mountain rescue theme is since long overdue! What about Farm? What do you think? Klaus-Dieter
  11. If I remember correctly, the City Square will be 180 Euros here in Germany. On the one hand it's of course a lot of money you have to pay at one time for only one set - that can't be denied. And some of the sets' contents - the TV heli, the flatbed truck, the civilian cars and the "open air garage" - would easily sell seperately, too. But on the other hand I'm sure that we would never get a car dealership and a coffee chain. And perhaps even not a Lego Store and a new tram with station. If not in this mega-set together with all that other stuff. The simple reason is that the target audience of City sets are kids. And if a car dealership would be sold seperately, there wouldn't be enough customers that that set would be profitable. So the only chance to give us AFOLs these great civilian buildings is to pack them in a set with a lot of action stuff so that JFOLs like the set, too, and so they or their parents buy it. Plus if you sum up the seperate prices of all set contents on their own, you would come to the conclusion that this mega-set is less expensive than if you would have to buy all contents seperately. Klaus-Dieter
  12. Thank you all very much for the information, the links and the pics! I keep my final judgement for after having seen clear and detailed pictures of the press release. But so far I've to say that on the one hand it does look very well designed but on the other hand it is a bit too huge and much more expensive than I would have awaited it to be - esp. since there are even no additional stands included which is really a pity. Klaus-Dieter
  13. There's a new Juniors house coming out in summer - 10686 Family House: http://brickset.com/sets/10686-1/Family-House You can quarrel over the house - esp. the window parts in the second floor - and the sides of the house being open. But which I really like are those three new civilian torsos: the father's light blue jacket, the mother's purple torso and the daughter's pink torso. Plus there'll be the Lego Movie hairpiece in brown and a new girl's head. All these imo look brilliant! So it's a pity that TLG didn't include these new parts in this year's City sets, too! Klaus-Dieter
  14. Thank you very much for the link to the picture of the grocery store, Soupperson1! I have to admit that I'm really disappointed by this set! In principle this would make a great set and that it's two floors big is even better. But which disturbs really too much and is too out of place is that massive overload of pink and purple - not only the roof, but even the blinds and the shelves and the scales inside are pink - so that you get eye's cancer! Klaus-Dieter
  15. Thank you very much for this news, BrickJagger! The last Castle theme from was already very bad. But that we seem to get a fantasy Castle next year is even worse! I was a big fan of the 2010-2012 Kingdoms theme. And imo TLG should bring back a theme like this one or at least give us some more exclusive, (more or less) realistic castle sets like the Medieval Market Village or the Kingdoms Tournament since these have really been the best castle sets ever! Klaus-Dieter
  16. I'm very late but nevertheless thank you very much for this pictures and links! I have to agree that the Heavy Haul Train hasn't that WOW-factor! Pro: The heli looks nice and I really like the "bulk cargo waggon". Apart from its white railings the loco is very well built. Which I like the most is the crane. Con: The white railing on the engine does indeed look out of place. The only explanation for this might be that TLG had to add it since otherwise the model would look too similar to a DB engine that they had to pay licenses. That the waggon that carries the excavator has no detachable sidewalls is a shame - this way it does look really <insert that tiresome argument> and not accurate. It's a pity that they didn't add a really small shovel to the back of the excavator - like TLG did, both shovles are nearly identical. Imo the Red Cargo Train (from 2010) was much more attractive! Maybe detailed official pictures might change my opinion - but like I see it now, the set isn't worth the money. Klaus-Dieter
  17. Thank you very much for this news, Lordofdragonss! This is indeed great news since a stand-alone shop being two floors big would be the first time to be seen in the Friends theme! Btw: What do you mean with "summer house"? I couldn't find a set with this name. Can you refer to a set number, please? Klaus-Dieter
  18. Thank you all very much for the links, pictures and information! The minifigures we've seen so far for sure don't look bad. But one whole series only with Halloween characters ist really to much! Like it already has been stated - it looks like CMF is turning into only one regular series per year, minimum one licensed and the other one a special one. And that's a bad development! Klaus-Dieter
  19. Thank you all very much for the links, pictures and information! It's a pity that we haven't still got any pictures of the grocery and the tourist kiosk. The Pop Star sets we've seen so far are imo too girlish and kiddish. But the Grand Hotel is magnificent! Perhaps it will look a bit too bombastic when adding it to other urban Friends and City sets. But it looks to well designed and includes too much details that my city can live without it. Klaus-Dieter
  20. Thank you all very much for the links, pictures and information! Deep Sea Research I'm really disappointed by these sets - apart from the big heli and the research vessel they look like MOCs and not official sets and the colors are imo not nice. Plus the theme of the ninetees did in every set include much more exciting stuff. Space The sets look very well built and there are some great minifigures. It's really a pity that I've neither the money nor the place for these sets! Town Square  Luckily I was wrong and this set beats ny exceptions by far - it's one of the best City sets TLG has been releasing! - Of course there are some things which however disturb: The coffee bar is imo much too small and should be a regular building with seats inside, the tram doesn't include doors as well as the smaller cars and on the Lego Store's second floor there are only two minifigures and no other interior. And instead of the Lego truck a regular postal van would imo have been much more attractive (since there doesn't exist one in six studs wide til now). + But everything other is simply perfect! We're finally getting a lot of things we've waited for years, partly even decades: a Lego Store, a car dealership, a coffee bar and a TV copter! 14 minifigures is magnificent and the details in this set are stunning! Klaus-Dieter
  21. Two new ideas I really would like to get: Modern Passenger Gender: female Torso: light pink blouse, opened a bit above showing a small gold necklace, belower arms and hands yellow Type of headgear: long hair (like the dino tracker girl from series 12) in yellow-black (like the hairs would have had been colored a while ago) Type of facial expression: stressed Legs: light brown with white stripes on the sides Accessory: black trolley (which can be opened and closed and where the handle can be moved in- and outside, too) Longboard Guy Gender: male Torso: white T-Shirt with black skateobarder print on it, belower arms and hands yellow Type of headgear: blue baseball cap with wihte NY sign Type of facial expression: happy Legs: black shorts with small white emblem, belower legs yellow, feet (as shoes) black Accessory: longboard Klaus-Dieter
  22. Thank you very much for the links, The_Chosen _1 and Wonkeye1 and for the further set information, The Kid! Stormie Polybag: It's a pity, that this one is a Rebel stormie and not a regular one! Final Duel: In principle a great set. And I really like it when TLG releases decent locations. But I have two complainments: Firstly there is a lack of things to fall down (normally I really do not need these, but in this scene it should be part of the set, too). Thirdly I'm disappointed that we don't get any realy new minifigures - TLG could easily have thrown in the two friends of Palpatine seen in the movie instead of giving us two Royal Guards which you can easily and cheap get in the last year's BP. But which is much more disturbing is that the hall, where Vader falls down, is directly next to the emperor's chair and directly in front of the right window. Imperial Shutle Tyderium: The picture is indeed to blurry to judge. But to say so far, the ship does look amazing. In contrast the minifigure collection is really disappointing - no really new character. I do hope that at least this time TLG managed to give us a gangway. Klaus-Dieter
  23. Thank you very much for this information, just2good, lightningtiger and The Kid! After I had read the first report from the London TF, I was really enthusiastic about this set. To tell the truth, that's not the case anymore: °Instead of a boring Lego truck a regular postal van would have been much, much better. °"Breakdown truck" supposably means that we're getting another tow truck of which we've been getting a whole army the last years anyway. °With the Lego Store being only one floor big and only eight studs wide, I don't see it including all three indispensable things: PaB wall, shelve with Lego sets cashpoint. °That the coffee shop is only a kisok leads me to the conclusion that it'll be only one floor big and won't include a place to sit down and drink your coffee. Considering these things and that I don't necessarily need a second tram, garage and Lego truck and that the set will be really expensive (180 Euros), I hope that Nuremberg TF will show us that I still want this set since it might be much better than I fear at the moment. Sorry to be that pessimistic. Klaus-Dieter
  24. Thank you very much for this news, Cyrtanthus! I'm curioues which kind of train this will be and what it'll include. For sure is - since it's going to be an exclusive City set and not an Creator Expert set - that it will be a train of nowadays. Maybe big vehicles are transported with this train. If it really was a space shuttle transport, then I for sure will skip this set. Anyway I would much more have liked to get a steam loco with tender and two train carriages - or even better a new Holiday Train (since it's now much too expensive to buy one and there is even no chance to make it PF-compatible without having to mod the loco heavily (which I don't do))! Klaus-Dieter
  25. Thank you very much for the further information! About the Admiral Yularen Promo: I really like it that we get this character as an OT one since I do only buy OT sets! And I must say that he looks good - I esp. like the new torso. Again about the Hoth Echo Base: Here is what imo this set for sure won't include: - AT-AT (we already got one last year) - Wampa (with or without cave) And here is a list of which parts I think it might include: - Snowspeeder - Imperial search droid - Tauntaun - big gate - medical room, control room, recreation room and hangar - one or twho turrets - some parts of the dugout - service vehicle Because of this, I can't imagine that this set will be bigger and more expensive than the Ewok Village. For sure there won't be huge vehilcles included as well as the number of minifigs is unlikely to be more than maximum 18 (Han, Leia, Luke (injured), Luke, Chewbacca, R2-D2, C-3PO, 2 Rebel Troopers, 2 Snowtroopers, Rebel commander, Imperial commander, medical droid, another droid like K-3PO, Darth Vader and two Snowspeeder pilots). Plus I don't see the Echo Base to include more rooms than the above mentioned. To summarize, I'd bet the set being 150 til 250 Euros. Btw: Happy new year! Klaus-Dieter
