  1. Nxy smiles back at Hybros, and raises an eyebrow at his new attire. She whispers to him: "Nice getup you have there Hybros, I like the red, it matches your eyes nicely. " When Guffington addresses them, she turns to him to make an initial remark. "Sir, your parties are more eventful than they first seem; there's so much backbiting and side-dealing that happens. I prefer to go to parties to have fun, really, but I seem to be shockingly sober at the end of this evening, and I've not danced at all. I would suggest you get some music for your next party, always lightens the mood, maybe a nice band, but I'd avoid any blonde starlets if I were you." she pauses "Frankly, though, I'm just glad you're alive. You're a nice man, it seems, and well, you did hire us after all. Oh, and sorry about the door, but it's kinda pretty; you could always just call it an art installation. "
  2. Nyx resists the urge to blow the insane Lord into a million pieces for fear of doing the same to his poor wife. She stays back and keeps tight hold of her Scroll of Sleep, planning to do nothing unless Lady Marsh is awoken, in which case she will attempt to put her back to sleep. Hopefully this way Marsh could take the damage needed to defeat him without his wife defending him.
  3. And that definitely rings a bell. The problem isn't grammatical, Dexter.
  4. We could suggest everybody! That might happen if lots of people suggest possible investigations. Or... we could just let the investigator get on with their business without indicating to the scum what they should do, and thus allow them to be able to interpret their result with a higher degree of confidence. This is even assuming they're still alive, of course. And ignoring how they'd get their results to the rest of us to make use of them. And just because you state something as how things "should" be, doesn't make it so. People read what you write (and you know this very well) and think 'oh, that Dexter, he's very knowledgeable about this stuff, so what he says must be correct', but it isn't, there are fundamental flaws in your logic. I know you don't like it, or me, for it, but my job is to point that out.
  5. Then what did you think would happen with the investigator investigating Dogbreath? The second most suspicious person (you can take that on the votes if not on my opinion) is the one you want investigating, so you're happy to let the result quietly slide by while a big question mark remains over his head, not knowing if he's been investigated or what the result is? And you were posturing about action and about how we must catch the Ferraris, yet he's ok to go completely unquestioned by you and just be investigated and dealt with later when (which is never) it's "safe" for the investigator to come forward? You should know better. Yes that's absolutely the only issue I have with you.
  6. I think that initially Dex thought he could justify it to us all. I also think that he and Colin thought he'd been subtle and could argue it well enough, so somebody previously unrelated showing support (the suggestion was just left hanging) might spur the idea on. I think Rolfe came along and just stuck his boot in and made the whole thing just too obvious, and probably did so before the others could stop him. It's all speculation, but it makes sense to me. What if nobody had challenged them and the investigator had agreed? If nobody had said anything it's possible somebody might have heeded their words and outed themself as the investigator, without even clearing up whether Dogbreath was scum or not in the process, but also diverting attention from Dogbreath from the lynch today. At least Dexter and Colin should have realised that. The rest of my post is also my opinion, just like that is.
  7. Nyx tries once more to put Lady Marsh to Sleep, with both of her actions, from the back row. Should she be successful, she does nothing. No attacking, as she might kill Mrs Marsh in the process.
  8. OoC: I was putting Lady Marsh to sleep, twice (or attacking the second time if not successful). I'll wait to see what happened as a result before posting an action.
  9. I'm not sure about the succinctly bit, but I'll try... My suspicions were raised when he tried to softly manipulate the investigator into investigating Dogbreath, which seemed odd considering how keen he'd previously been for a lynch. It might have only been a minor point had two other people (Colin and Rolfe) not come along with the same hairbrained idea, also two people keen on activity and lynching. I called him out on that, he became aggressive, patronising, started twisting what I'd said to make it look like I wasn't considering anyone but Dogbreath for a lynch and tried to ridicule the reasons why I stated that asking the investigator publicly to investigate Dogbreath was a bad idea. He was still trying to make it seem like a reasonable idea despite it coming out of nowhere after being so keen to lynch and he was suggesting it for someone who'd been distinctly absent and unhelpful and who had garnered two votes the previous day. No discussion about other options, or other people to investigate with his brilliant idea. No "What do you have to say for yourself Dogbreath?" questions in the thread first. Plus he wasn't exactly pleasant about it. Over the course of our "discussion" he made a few more omissions or mistakes; minor on their own, but they added up. They're nearly all mentioned in my posts, so they exist, but we'll be here forever if I quote them all. He didn't seem to like my "niggling" and softly suggested I was leading everyone away from something (I still don't know what). There then followed Dexie voting for Dogbreath because he was "suspicious" (that's all, nothing more than we'd all be wondering). This is after wanting him investigated. Apparently two people not wanting him investigated is enough to make Dex vote instead. After that he made some vague attempt to say Colin was scummy (he is, but that's another discussion) because Colin supported Dex's stupid and scummy idea in a way that was... scummy. Add to that him making a song and dance about wanting to know Byr-Byr's alignment, omitting wanting to know about Shane's alignment, not telling us what he learned from Byr-Byr's alignment (I did ask) but getting very huffy about "what did Patricia learn from Shane's alignment?" (I replied). It's now culminated in him accusing me of posting "fluff" and not adding to the conversation. I think he's a bit upset with me. Anyway, I feel he and his scum-mates are unsure if they'd get away with killing me and shutting me up that way, so now they're trying to discredit me. Fair enough, I suppose. There's a few little things here and there I wouldn't want to point out for Dexie's benefit, though, (although I think that ^ is plenty anyway) just in case he and I find ourselves in a similar position one day.
  10. Each entry should be in its own post yes, but if you post a second time within 15 minutes or so (without someone posting in between) then the board will merge your two posts into one, which is probably what happened to you. All you need to do is create another post in the entries thread and cut&paste your second entry from your first post into that one, and then both entries will be counted. If you need help, just ask.
  11. No, that's not the whole reason I personally voted for him, although others seem to think that alone was a justification. I voted for him because initially he was barely here and only posting fluff. I made a comment after I voted (I was the second one to do so) about how people seemed reluctant to vote for him when he'd been less than helpful and they were finding the current vote-receivers not that scummy. The next phase Dexter, made the suggestion that the investigator should investigate Dogbreath, because he was suspicious. Colin and Rolfe came along and said something along the lines of "oh, yeah, hey, great idea". All people who'd been berating us all over talking and lynching, suddenly just wanting to publicly want Dogbreath investigated, I won't go over how terrible an idea that is. Follow that with several scummy posts from Dogbreath, including his "I can't talk but I'm going to anyway, even if I say inconsequential stuff that could have waited", and that's why I voted for him. The whole "person A" deal had very little to do with it, but it seems to be becoming an issue, and seems to be the only reason some people voted, as if they missed all the other stuff. Anyway, let's look back: Kristina says: Calling out both Shane and Dogbreath. He posted: Kristina brought this up again later: Dogbreath responded: So it was Dogbreath himself who suggested Person A might be the source of all this. It's convoluted, and I appreciate its difficult to follow if you haven't been around for the entire time, but what seems to be happening is that the events surrounding this seem to change each time the story is told. It doesn't necessarily follow that person A had anything to do with Dogbreath making that comment, nor does it follow that they are more or less likely to be scum based on Dogbreath's affiliation, although that last bit I've emphasised makes me think Person A is less likely to be scum if Dogbreath is.
  12. I understand there may have been some concerns about the validity of entries so far. At the time of posting, all entries so far are completely valid. Additionally, please keep comments out of the entry thread and post them in the comments thread we made specially for... comments. Thanks!
  13. Uh huh, and those who hadn't listed their suspicions weren't repeating themselves. Doesn't really explain why you repeated my point about Rolfe, but you added some of your own thoughts, which is what I was asking. You don't want to play with me any more Dexie-poo? It's not my fault you're so damn scummy.
  14. I am certain that both Scuba and Brickdoctor both already know that.
  15. "Grumpy Guts" whispers Nyx to Hybros, snickering a little. She spots Guts looking at her and just sticks her tongue out and grins back.
  16. "I think... I seem to remember that it took two Remedies last time to bring her to her senses, Guts."
  17. "We know he's evil, that's why we're trying to stop him. Now shhh, go to sleep." Nyx tries once more to put Lady Marsh to sleep from the back row. If unsuccessful the first time, she tries again. If successful, she attacks Lord Marsh with a Darkness spell through her Standard still from the back row.
  18. Nyx takes a Smelling Salts and then uses her Scroll of Sleep on Lady Marsh from the back row.
  19. This entire post is either you repeating yourself, you repeating other people (me), or you saying you're not going to repeat yourself. Could we have some original contributions from you, please? Glad to see you've caught up with the rest of us. Oh Dexter, you know I love it when you go all tough guy. I hope I haven't upset you. Skadoosh! Here's a knowledge bomb! Except I haven't got one, sorry, only one of Byr-Byr's old plastic bunches of flowers, but I really don't know what you were expecting. Let's recap: You said you wanted to know what Byr-Byr's alignment was, I wondered why you weren't interested in Shane's alignment as well, you said it wouldn't make any difference to anything, I said that there was always the possibility it would make some difference, you said nope, it made no difference whatsoever. For me, if Shane had been shown to be scum, for instance, it would have ruled the zombie MO out as the scum kill. Out of interest, you were fascinated to know Byr-Byr's alignment, so what game-breaking revelations did that tell you, Dexie-poo? And let's put the "Patricia's against investigating Dogfood" into perspective too. I thought, and still very much believe, that discussing who to investigate openly in the thread is a silly idea; an action that opens itself up to interference from the scum to give us an unreliable result at best, and an outed investigator (and who knows what else) at worst. What was that you said about a "roadmap for the scum"? A clever and strong man like you really shouldn't be spouting silly ideas like that, and as a wise man once said "scum or dumb?", so yeah, suggesting it in the first place is actually quite scummy. And because it's a silly idea, agreeing with it is also quite scummy (Colin and Rolfe). And suggesting it again for somebody else (Colin) is still scummy, because it's still a silly idea. Nice way to try to distance yourself from Uncle Colin, though. I kinda think Uncle Colin's scum too, Dogbreath. You got bussed, now you're trying to gain distance. But that's just my opinion. He lied about being silenced? How do you know this? Are you sure he wasn't actually silenced and hoped a public penalty would make him look more townie? He didn't get that public penalty, apparently it was private, and I still don't really get what was so urgent to post that couldn't have waited until tonight, but you know he lied? How? Oh, yeah, that's where you mentioned the roadmap, but more interestingly, what on earth makes you think the PM network builds every day? It wouldn't seem unreasonable to me that Kristina had limited shots and decided to start using them early, or it could indeed be every day, but the only person who knows, presumably, is Kristina herself. And before I forget, I Vote: Doğukan Akbulut (Dragonator).
  20. OoC: I wondered if I'd tried to blast the door in you'd tell me I was using the wrong element. And what on earth have you managed to do to my inventory?? Nyx steps daintily through the yielding door pieces and nods back to Hybros. "Sorry we're late. We found wine." She looks around, saddened to see Lady Felix on the floor and Lady Marsh looking so distressed. "You're not very nice to women, are you Marsh? How could you do this to your poor wife? And for what possible gain?" she remarks with a tone of sadness and disappointment. "Hybros, I don't have a remedy, I don't think, otherwise I certainly would. I could try to put Lady Marsh to sleep, though. It might be a kindness."
  21. Is that odd? Don't scum play a little WIFOM game with themselves about how it will look when they're noted to have voted for a townie, versus no lynch which may or may not benefit them, versus just lynching off a townie, versus just hoping the town will lynch off a townie anyway. We could play the same WIFOM game, but we don't know what they ended up doing. I'm not saying you're scummy for saying this, don't get me wrong, but I think it's unwise to assume scum would (or would not, indeed) have just voted for Byr-Byr.
  22. What changed, Rolfe?..... .... Or are we witnessing a bussing?
  23. A few things. Sounds like "do you still want to lynch Dogfood or can we lynch someone else instead?" and additionally as others have said, I really find it hard to believe that they could both be town communications experts. This sounds scummy to me. Did he have information he shouldn't have? It was all presumption wasn't it? This also sounds like a "do we really have to lynch Dogfood?" to me, and thus scummy. What a coincidence. The thing that still sticks out to me is how people who seemed to be calling us forth to talk and vote and lynch all of a sudden did a complete U-turn and thought it was a marvellous idea to post in the thread that the investigator should investigate Dogfood. Not because he'd been helpful. Not because he claimed a role - we didn't see him do so, and we know there's no private whispering for town, except for a Communications Expert. Suddenly, we should investigate first, in the most unhelpful way, with the least chance of getting any sort of reliable result and running the full risk of exposing an investigator, and lynch later. Couple that with Dogfood's strange posting yesterday, and his inability or lack of will to answer any questions posed to him. For that, my top three four are currently Dogfood, Dexter, Colin and Rolfe. I'm half tempted to lump Terrance and Candy in there too, but you (Chillax Darth Grandad) only asked for three and I've already exceeded that quota.
  24. "Yup, I mentioned it yesterday, but it must have been missed in the hullaballoo"
