The conversation moves on apace. She leans back, sipping her drink and listening with amusement. At a moment when Atramor isn't actively engaged in the conversation she leans over to him to nod and say "Nice outfit. You smell a damn sight better too" before leaning back again to carry on drinking and listening.

More for Sandy's sake than anyone else's - I shall be away for a few days from tomorrow. I shall endeavour to post in the day threads/submit actions etc, but I can't guarantee this as I expect to be quite busy.

You'll just have to wait to find out.

Nyx watches Guts's party trick with amusement. "The thing is, I can do that with an ocean without even feeling a tingle. Maybe a shiver, but I just don't like the cold. And it takes far less effort to learn to beat the snot out of someone with a big stick, as I have already learnt. Don't underestimate my opinion of you. Well, not too much, anyway, but also, do not underestimate me."

Hell yes, considering Nyx's affection for Nerwen since encountering the Rito together in Dastan. Nyx's relationship with Larry is already solid. That quartet would be wonderful, and a great dynamic. Really, though, there are so many great heroes to quest with and never enough quests.

Nyx looks at Guts, still smiling, but a distance in her eyes. "Those are just words. I could tell you that I am a fallen goddess and have wrought destruction you couldn't ever dream of, but saying it wouldn't make it true." she looks away "I like your company, your directness, though. I see no reason not to assist you if you assist me, but who knows what my own potential will be? I am not so old as you, I have lived but a few years. What could I do in thirty five years?" the question seemed to be as much to herself as to anyone else. "Perhaps we have common interests. I'm willing to find out." and another sweet smile.

Nyx looks long and hard at the Raider, eyes ever so slightly narrowed, searching, and the whisper of a smile appears - that she seems to try to quell. "I'm loyal to myself. Always have been." she states simply "Loyal to my beliefs." she looks away, the small smile appearing, a dreamy expression. She seems to catch herself. "Surely I can aid Heroica better if I am more powerful?"

Nyx grins widely back, taking the Phoenix Dress from Tesni and handing her 200 gold. She admires the material, looking at the details, still grinning, before pulling Tesni into a sudden and forceful hug. "Thanks Tesni, I hope you put the gold to good use too!" To celebrate, Nyx shoves her Doomshroom into her mouth (Ether +1 permanently), munching happily, and drinks some more of her Flaming Gumball.

Hell's teeth, what am I letting myself in for?

Nyx sits staring with an open mouth for a moment "Uhm.." she gulps "Are you sure?? That implies you're looking for upwards of 500 gold for this...." she trails off sadly "Even my cloak, which has the same enhancement to my Ether and other nice effects cost me far, far less. And there's a Tiara there for 120 gold that gives plus 3 Ether and a Hat that gives plus 4 Ether for 160 gold. Are you sure about 100 gold per additional Ether? It looks a lot more like around 40 gold. " She looks at Tesni with hope in her eyes "I was thinking somewhere nearer to 200 gold for the dress, really. "

Nyx admires the dress, trying it against herself and feeling the material. "Oooh, now this is lovely! And just my sort of thing! How much are you asking for it?" "Sounds like the taverns I used to frequent down by the docks before I joined here" Nyx laughs in reply Thank you Master Docken" Nyx accepts the items "Before you scoot off, here's 125 gold from Watters' corpse" she turns to Guts also "And 125 gold for you Guts, too. Wouldn't want to be holding onto your gold now, would I?" she winks Turning back to the rowdy table, Nyx replies once more "We could make a quest of it! The quest for Tarn's kiss from Ella! We just have to get there, and then somebody (not Atters ) diplomatically gets them a table at a fancy restaurant, and I could light hundreds of romantic candles and we could get a Druid to grow a bunch of perfect roses. We'd all help you romance her Tarn, what could possibly go wrong?!" she grins at her old friend Tarn as she concludes.

Hybros should come to Strivvi with us all! When's Strivvi Scuba? Wheeeeeeeeeen?? Is it now? How about now? Now? Wheeeeeeeeeeen?!

Nyx sees the scruffy Witch approach the table and feels surprised to be pleased to see him. She hated to admit to herself that she'd missed him, but she had. "Atters! Come and join us! We can get some proper drinking done now, we just need Larry and for Guts to get his big behind over here." she grins at Atramor "The party was a little dry; not enough booze, food, dancing, music or flirting for my liking. But we did get to kill a few people, so it wasn't all bad. Guffington's a nice man, and he's very rich, and he has a nice house, and there were some interesting people there. I take it you know Tesni, and I know you know Tarn." Nyx catches Hybros's sideways look at her along with his comment. "Hybros, do you really think I'd stab you in the back? Really? Hell no, I'd blow you up if I was gonna do anything like that, and I make my feelings quite plain. If I wanted you dead or didn't like you, you'd know about it. Oh, and by the way, I forgot about the gold I lifted from Watters, so here's 125 gold for you. I need to give the same to Guts and Docken, but Guts is glued to that board, and Docken hasn't even showed up yet. Plus Docken has some stuff for me, I believe."

Nyx laughs at the drinks comment "Tesni.. yes, yes, sorry, I'm not that great at names, I hope I haven't offended you. And I do love a drink and I also love setting things on fire. These Flaming Gumballs are therefore the perfect combination, and they taste really fruity and sweet, too." Nyx raises her glass by way of a salute to Tesni and drinks before continuing "I know what you mean about other stuff too, I picked up this little dagger which is more useful for Rogues I think; I'm more of a "blow the bastard to pieces" kinda girl." she grins at Tesni "So I should put a sign up to sell it, or else try to get Anwyl to take it off my hands." she leans back in her chair, stretching "But not right now, I need a few drinks first, and I still need to sort out some exchanges with my most recent questmates."

Nyx sees Guts standing near to her and turns to him. "It was a pleasure, old man." she says simply, handing back his Scroll of Weakening."Maybe we'll do it again sometime." A brief nod of almost respect, and she moves to follow Hybros to the table. "Hybros, sorry, I forgot to give you these." Nyx hands Hybros the Spinning Bolas she took from the Blue Assassin's corpse. "Hello Tarn!" she greets her old friend smiling widely, and turns to Tesni as she sits "And.. I think we've spoken, haven't we? You're from the North, somewhere, right? Tensy... Tessin? Something like that? Well, hello again, nice blades you've got there. Nyx, in case you've forgotten." indicating herself and she smiles and continues nibbling at the substantial cake.

A quick question, Sandy. The Sandman's Parasol grants immunity to Sleep and Fast Asleep effects. Does imbuing a Scroll of Sleep into an artefact also grant immunity to both?

Panduin encourages himself and critically attacks Brienne.

Nyx pockets the 88 gold so quickly it barely flashes, grinning at Hybros. She picked up on the shy imp's unwillingness to let go of the Mythril. Having never seen any before, she turns the substance over in her hand, examining it, an expression of curiosity dawning on her face. "Sweet little Hybros, I don't think I'll ever be able to accumulate enough of these to make use of this shard. I'd certainly be willing to part with it to you for some more gold, thank you, yes." and with that she holds the Mythril in her open palm, offering it back to Hybros.

Having completed her ritual bathe in rose scented waters in the bath house, and feeling relaxed and refreshed as a result, Nyx returns to the Hall, already thinking about food and drink. As she opens the doors she hears the familiar bustle and noise and she feels.. home. Her eyes scan the room, noting where some familiar faces were, and spotting Hybros in particular. First things first, though, as she picks up a Flaming Gumball and a large hunk of Scheherezade's homemade cake. It tasted nice enough, although its consistency meant it could probably be used as a deadly missile. In possession of her victuals, she winds her way through the mess of chairs and tables to reach Hybros at the questboard. "Hello there little Hybros the Deadly." she grins and winks "I believe we need to do a bit of swapping around of bits and bobs, but first.." Nyx reaches into her bag "I asked him if he had one, and guess what? He did!" Nyx produces the Cloak of the Blue Assassin from her bag with a flourish "I don't think it's as nice as the red one, but you seem to be collecting them now and blue really isn't my colour, more red and black really, and I can't even use it anyway so I thought.... you'd like it" and she offers the blue material to Hybros, smiling expectantly. "Take it. It's yours."

Zepher, thanks very much for quest 72. I think it's important you know that I did really enjoy myself. I would echo what the other guys have said about the quest, and there's a lot of criticism there, but it's a credit to you that you take it on board and work with it. A few particular points I'll revisit: We often felt a bit lost, and we spent a lot of time discussing with each other who we suspected, why and what we were going to do about it. It was a consequence of not knowing what to do and trying to cover all aspects before time ran out that led us to split up to try to gather as much information as possible. Unfortunately, the lack of pictures contributed to this. Having items and loot not carry over with the time jump was a little disappointing. We made a plan to try to get as much as we could of what we wanted on the last jump, but offering us side quests to kill people that we'd fail the quest for (and not even get to keep the reward) or retrieve items that we couldn't even keep seemed a little unfair. Overall, there was good loot at the end, so I'm not complaining about that, just that the side quests seemed... pointless. Sorry. The other disappointing thing was having great conversations (particularly with Lord Chauncey for Nyx) that didn't carry over either, and there wasn't time in the last jump to revisit that conversation to provide an enduring relationship between the characters. I know you've taken a lot of criticism, but there were good points too. I thought Avery was a great character, and I really would have liked to see more of Chauncey. I liked Guffington too, although there was very little interaction with him. It was a great idea for a quest and I always enjoy your hosting (you really are the friendly neighbourhood Zepher ), and I thoroughly enjoyed questing with Scuba, JimB and Brickdoc - we had a great team spirit in our PM - but unfortunately you (Zeph) didn't get to see that. Once again Zepher, thank you, and thank you for taking the criticism so well.

Panduin belches loudly once more, knowing it would be difficult for him to be heard amongst the loud "discussions". He starts stroking his beard absent-mindedly as he begins to speak, and a few stray crumbs become dislodged in the process. "The Nephilim are doing what they planned already - we're fighting between ourselves alright. If this arguing continues the Nephilim can just put their feet up and leave their job to us. From down here the best I can hear is a few snatches of conversation; I'm listening as best I can, but you all talk over one another. I thank the Mime Artist there for the summary, he seems to be speaking sensibly, and Mr Piggy has just made a nice speech too. I'd been wondering what to do today, but now I think I'll launch a Critical Attack on Maxi Ebdul."

Nyx nods politely to Guffington, smiling, and with an equally warm smile she returns the Eye of the Beholder Amulet to Lady Felix. "Lady Felix, I had great fun working with you. I look forward to fighting on the same side as you again someday. If you will excuse me." Nyx slips her high heels back on and glides over to Lord Chauncey, he head slightly to one side as she approaches and a mischievous smile on her lips. "Lord Chauncey? Hello again. We.. didn't really get much chance to talk just now. I ... suspect we would have a lot to talk about, especially considering your current project involving the Old Gods. If you'd ever like to discuss that, or any other magical subject, maybe over a drink sometime, just let me know. I'm sure a man of your means would know where to find me. It's been wonderful to meet you, though."
