  1. I feel like it's implied that I don't want to lynch him. To all those interested in playing conservatively and not claiming to Derek: I'm pretty confident he's real. I'd be ok with waiting a game day at most provided our doctor keeps the dude alive past tonight, but I wouldn't give up this opportunity to organize everything just yet. I realize it goes against most of the game strats you're all accustomed to, but being willing to go out on a limb is a good quality to have in these situations. If you aren't going to claim to him, at least don't lynch him. He did this last time too; don't act skeptical of it.
  2. If there's no cop counterclaim, we should all claim our identities/roles to Derek. Additionally: after the black and white nature of the last situation, I'm sure God intentionally created more ambiguity with the alter egos this time around. Remember how easily the monsters fell last time? What would be the point of setting up scum to die like dogs again?
  3. Jesus Christ, why would a council member come out and claim immediately; what benefit would that even have? Think before you bandwagon.
  4. Deadly so, child fiend. Didst thou fail to remember that our identities are our roles? Of course not. Regardless of how thou chooseth to play it off, it most certainly seems as if thou hath asketh for our identities. The talk of burning is obvious fluff, perhaps to cover up this: The starfish hath asketh us how we might discern the identity of the scum. Thou immediately replied with "we should ask for identification". In what frame of mind would "identification cards" immediately pop up? None, I might say. Whilst this is not a damning statement by any means, thine attempt to cover it up is the true smoking musket.
  5. Be silenced, my most loyal subjects! Thine righteous monarch hath graced ye with their presence! What purpose doth a burning of "identification cards" hold? Surely thou know'st what "identity" truly means in this situation. Doth thou not remember a past situation similar to our present ordeal? To reveal thine identity could be to seal thine fate! Ping.
  6. Marry! However, marketh our words, Spaniard; we are but the chief power in any partnership. The cranium of he who dares cross us shall roll upon the earth in much the same manner as a "bowling ball" of this new era! There shall be no overlord here but we! Off with your head, strange hell-beast!
  7. Bow before us, lowly peasants! ...Who are we, thou asketh? Blasphemy 'gainst the crown, the high'st author'ty, the God-chosen rep'rsentative of Belgium! Guards, off with his head! Not a man in th' world darest question th' great monarch Timothy III of Belgium!
  8. 1.) The minifigure they'll inevitably end up making of me. 2.) Ancient Rome 3.) I've been around the block and back. 4.) Either Jedi Temple or EB. 5.) Most of my action is at night, so yeah, I'll be keeping track.
  9. Run and tell all of the angels: this could take all night.

  10. For once, there is nothing up my sleeve.

  11. I don't plan on stoppin' at all.

  12. I'm sorry! When I looked back in the middle of the game, I realized it was probably you. I've now killed you first twice. Poor Rick. Yeah, you seemed kind of assertive, yet still hung back a bit. You kind of played like Darth Potato in CMF (good scumhunting and active, but not as "large and in charge" as vanillas get), and I guess part of me still registered that as protector play. The entire reputation of me never giving up is completely due to IMHOTEP, where I only kept fighting simply because I'd been doing well up until that point and was hoping to ride on my past. I was totally out of the loop through all of this game, and as far as I can see, I was on a few peoples radars as at least questionable, if not scummy, before I was finally put up for lynching. I did definitely try at the end though; I claimed blocker to Pie, thinking that Cornelius' distrust for the town block would have kept his mouth shut about the role (because it was rather obvious that he was the blocker - he said he didn't have an important role). Unfortunately, this wasn't true. It was autoloss for me at that point. The person who Corny had claimed to was Cecilie, and it went from me or mostlytechnic to me or Cecilie at that point, and even if I fought and got her lynched, I was 100% the lynch the next day.
  13. Thanks for letting me play, Hinck. It was a fun game while it lasted. I personally am of the opinion that, while a lot of the PRs were one-shots, it made for too many clears (ie. Player A says to the clear "I'm a one shot X, here I'll show you", and clears himself), and too many PRs to be able to kill off, even if my reads hadn't sucked. It was townsided as it was this time, but I lost, so of course I'm biased here. I don't really think our kill choices were that questionable. I thought Sol was a PR, and def was convinced that killing Frank (who I assume is Scuba) would incriminate Mencot. My double block on Donald (Cornelius, right?) was due to the fact that I thought he was a PR as well (on N1), but my N2 block of him was due to the fact that I had no idea who else to block, and I thought I'd struck gold (for no reason in particular) with Donald. I was Carl, obviously.
  14. I was still going to be strict in enforcing my rules, I just didn't intend to let other players suffer for one player's incompetence.
  15. No, Palathadric, I wasn't performing modkills or awarding penalties this game. Both of those constitute outside of game influence, which I feel should be absent from a game like this.
  16. Thanks again for all your kind comments, guys; I had a really great time, and I was definitely happy to have you all! Dead writeboard for those who want it, btw: http://123.writeboar...7ly2x2z5cdifzn4 pass: bangyoudead Yeah, it was truly anywon's game at the end there. Thanks for the kind comments - and thank you for playing as well! The PM rule does work, but only if town has something to back it up (Comm Expert + Universal Backup). If anything, it forces vanillas who would just sit around waiting to be mislynched to work hard. Lots of vanillas this game played hard and were able to really get their hands dirty, which was my intention. And I have to say, I learned at least ten times as much from this game as I did in Silver City. I've got some good ideas for my next game! Well, I'm glad you enjoyed what you saw of it! Thank you!
  17. 1. I'm a mafia virgin. 2. Besides hosting, I've really liked playing as converted scum. 3. Either Cornelius dying in the final five or Kadabra actually believing my transparent lie in Jedi Temple.
  18. Thanks for all of your kind comments! I'm glad you enjoyed the game - I certainly did as well. Role PM's will be up soon.
  19. Players only, please! August 30th, 2005 New Brickland, Florida 3:16 A.M. As the thirtieth of August begins, Kristina, Priscilla, and Peter all surround Penelope, ready to crucify the final Ferrari. "Wait, no, don't!" she screams in protest, "It's Priscilla! Really! Look at all these helpful examples I only just now started to notice! I'm town, and totally not scummy. Please believe me!" "I'm not buying it, Penny!" Kristina says confidently as she points a finger at the corrupt cop. "It only makes sense. You've been obvious from the beginning, scummo. Now die like a dog!" "Of course, that's what I'd say if being in the mafia was about killing people and being generally all-around nasty." she hastily corrects herself, "Instead, we'll reluctantly kill you to preserve the true goodness of our organization. We'll miss you, friend!" Neither Peter nor his secretary have ever understood this idealistic little girl. "Wait, no! Please!" Penelope begs. "Even I'm having a hard time buying your story, Penny." Tam says as he raises his gun to the woman's head. "Just accept it. It'll be over soon enough." Suddenly, the group hears the sound of sirens in the distance... The family panics, whipping around to face the source of the sound. However, they're too late to flee (although Tam begins to book it), as a squad car speeds past them. Another car drives up, encircling the outlaws. Everyone screams, their hands in the air. Priscilla shrieks like a harpy and runs to take cover behind someone. Quickly, the men and women in blue file out of the cars... ...running as fast as they can. Within seconds, they have the family surrounded. A slightly demented smile growing on her face, Penelope begins to pull something out of her back pocket. And pulls out a gun! Everyone screams again. "I knew you were the last Ferrari! Now you're going to kill us! Ahhh!" Kristina screams, looking around for something to take cover behind. "I'm not going to shoot you, idiot..." Penny begins. "...after everything I worked for, after the reputation I built up among the force... it's all gone. Now that my comrades have seen me associating with the Malones, my life is over..." BANG With a tight squeeze of the trigger, Penelope blows her own head off, splattering Tam and Priscilla with blood. And that is the end of Penelope Talbott (Palathadric). Raising his gun to the police force now surrounding them, Tam lets out a loud roar. "Rrrrroawwwr! I'm not letting these fools take from me everything the Ferraris couldn't! Come on, guys, fight back!" In an instant, the three remaining family members pulled out their weapons, ready to fight to the death. Rushing toward the second car, Peter attempts to hold his automatic level. "Bernard has done so much for me and for my family - I'd gladly die for him!" he shouts as he runs into battle. Without hesitation, both of the police officers behind the car open fire on the old man. The bullets tear through Peter, killing him instantly. Let's be honest though, it's not like it wasn't going to happen within the next few months anyway. And that is the end of Peter Nuccitelli (Peanuts). Meanwhile, Tam, Kristina, and Priscilla continue to barrage the first car with bullets. BANG RATATATATA BLAM By now, one of the police officers is dead, while her partner hides behind the car. "How the hell did that bitch hide a shotgun in that cardigan??" he wonders to himself Filled with confidence after her successful kill, Kristina reloads her rifle, ready to slaughter the policeman behind the car as well. Priscilla lowers her gun and laughs a sinister laugh... "Wait, Prissy, what are you doing!?" Kristina says nervously as Priscilla points the gun right at her head. "Kekeke!" Priscilla cackles as she pulls the trigger. RATATATATA Priscilla squeezes the trigger, blowing Kristie's head right off her shoulders. And that is the end of Kristina Malone (Kristel). "Why did she just shoot her friend??" the cop wonders aloud to himself, forgetting to take cover. However, it isn't from the Malones that he receives a shot to the stomach... The female police officer walks away, leaving the corpse of the other policeman in the middle of the street. "You killed my sister, you bitch!" Tam screams at Priscilla, gun level to her head, "I'm going to fill you with so many holes, they won't even be able to identify your corpse!" "As if, old man!" Priscilla screams back, laughing as she says it. With a flourish, Priscilla leans out of the way of a well placed gunshot to Tam's shoulder. "Aaargghh!" Tam screams as the bullet pierces the skin under his suit. "Good job, guys!" Priscilla praises her teammates, "I can't believe they all fell for it!" "God... megablocking damn it!" Tam screams, struggling to keep his voice level. "I was a king... a king, I tell you! Everyone feared me, loved... *cough* me, respected me! A king!" RATATATA "What's a king to a god?" ~~~ Congratulations to the Ferrari Gang - the winners of Mafia After Dark! 24. Players only, please! August 29th, 2005 New Brickland, Florida 10:11 P.M. After the paramedics collected the body of Colin, the remaining four family members gather at his death site. It's eerily silent tonight - partially due to the lack of Colin screaming at something... Tam breaks the silence. "Finally, the results I've been looking for. Both Candy Nelson and Cebastian Lillium were nasty Ferraris. Even my brother, Colin; although he wasn't a Ferrari, he wasn't one of us either. Turns out he was Independent all along, working for only himself. Not as bad as the Ferraris, but still scum we want to get out of our family!" "The last of them can't be far away, but our numbers are dwindling now too! It's now or never - destroy the Ferrari Gang!"
