One could say I bought the UCS Falcon today, since my precious has arrivingsed! *pets the box* Precious... :-$ :'-) X-D
-
And ... it's here! Same exact size box as the DSII or ISD, but heavier and with a much nicer opening method. Good stuff so far. Nowhere to build it. ;-)
-
Yep, you've done it now. We're always going to expect great work with brilliant lighting! *wub* Pressure On! *y*
-
That would be good news! I just received notification that my Brickmaster renewal was sent, let's hope I get that! I'll report back either to praise LEGO for that one or slam them for sending me another junky set X-D
-
Seems we have enough interest, so the request for a date seems fair enough. How about ... 10/14? Gives everyone a few weeks to plot something thoroughly appropriate. Hitchhike On! *y*
-
You know, I was thinking spikes leading up the center of the nose through the forehead, or horns, good call there! As the effort currently stands, it could very easily be adapted into a Chinese styled dragon, suitable for use in parades in front of my Chinese restaurant that you should all go and not vote for. :-$ X-D Otherwise, it'd make a serious figurehead for a ship. I'd like to see that! *y*

The correct answer is unknown. Theories abound, but until it can be attempted, no one will be certain. Many perfectly logical theories have gone down the drain in real world experiments.

Unhand that porpoise, you fiend! *wacko* Happy birthday Mr. Tiber and Autobot, may it be as LEGOriffic as every day should be!

The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus Issue #3
Shadows replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
Well excuse me Mr. Hostypants. I figured you for the kind to have your own server, which would then make my theory logical. >:-( Don't ask. -
Who's got too much time now, correcting things that aren't even wrong? :-P You know, this whole thing has me longing for LEGO Muppets now. Imagine the fun whacking that could go on in Muppet Labs! Muppet Labs: Where the future is being made today!

A small enough plane, a lot of wind, maybe, especially since the moving belt could potentially produce a certain amount of wind, providing some lift. I'd like to see it tried, even in miniature. BEAKER! Come here immediately, I have an experiment for you! Now now, don't be afraid, it's perfectly safe ... >:-)
-
Better? ;-)
-
'bout time someone caught that bugger! >:-) I'll just not do what everyone else did and comment on the excellent lighting, I'll mention that neat pair of ... oh crap, what are those things at the sides of the fireplace opening, decorative figures on display? (I should have just said something about the lighting :-$) Ho ho Hold Up On! *y*
-
I didn't see it taken, so I have. Shall I have to duel someone at dawn for it? >:-)
-
Why thank you Mandi Lori Ann! I was expecting we had a slightly better source handy :-| I'd like to be Dr. Bunson Honeydew, I think, since my heroes are already taken. Or maybe the mahnahmahma (?) guy.
-
Buncha freaks ... Where do I get one? :-$ X-D

As I mentioned elsewhere, check those invoices/charge cards folks. They gave me some kind of idiotic $10 credit and then slammed me with shipping charges totaling $24. Not exactly an even trade, so we'll see how they reply to my polite, yet stern, email.

The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus Issue #3
Shadows replied to Hinckley's topic in Brick Flicks & Comics
How'd you know I'm on earthlink? Oh, right, you too :-$ As for wasting my life, I'm 190, I've been undead since 1836 (camping trip to the Carpathian mountains, it bit, and so did she), so I have plenty of time to, uh, kill. >:-) And now for a little review, Mr. Balcony Heckler :-P Another winner! *y* *SPOILER ALERT* I absolutely loved the beginning of the comic, documenting our favourite walrus's decent into madness. Up. Under. Where. :-D :-D :-D Always knew this was destined to turn into a Boner Party. 8- -
The Many Adventures of the Whacker and the Walrus Issue #3

*sloshes himself in anticipation of the high-brow entertainment that lies ahead* :-$ ;-) I'll be back with a review later, right now it's happy comic readin' time! *sweet* Isuue? :-P -
An eBay find that just made me laugh too hard
Shadows replied to Shadows's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I'm glad it at least bears a resemblance to the intended item and has some copy potential *y* -
An eBay find that just made me laugh too hard

Ah, the things one can do with a few spare parts and 14 seconds of build time (for slow people). http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...em=120163750085 Let's see ... 3 taps: 15 cents 6 plates: 18 cents 6 round studs: 12 cents Getting someone to pay $8.99 + 1.99 shipping (in a 41 cent envelope): Priceless! *y* Perhaps someone can tell me if those even look like anything resembling a Halo 3 plasma rifle, and just where the minifig holds it. I'm not following what part makes up the handle or the barrel. Suddenly loudhailers aren't looking so bad. :-| -
Very nice stuff, please show that building when it's done, and I've also stolen that statue to use as a base for some others. Now if only they'd give us some grey normal horses! Sinner: A good start, I look forward to seeing where it will progress to, and some very nice snot work on those nostrils (ironic, isn't it?) If you decide to ditch the effort, rebuild it in all white, put it on a black base, and call it a dragon skull diorama. Or one seriously large krayt dragon skeleton for a tatooine desert display... *y*

Waldorf: Tell me, Statler. Do you have any naval experience? Statler: Well, I once saved a rat from drowning. Waldorf: Really, how? Statler: I gave him mouth to mouse resuscitation! :-P

Only thing that might kill the idea is that everyone is too lazy to make up a standard sized banner, including me :-| :-D

A vote cast for Barbossa *y* It's just so professional looking that I'd like it in my own layout. If anything was lacking it was the interior, but I'm not really much for interior. It isn't like I'd play with it, I'd display it, and it has such a strong presence and classical style. I love the effort put into all of them and must admit it was a very close vote. A great showing by everyone *y* and thanks to Hinckley for hosting the contest! :-)
