Oh, trust me, in this case it's not the quote you think it is and I do mean another ;-)

GIRLS! GIRLS! There's only one way to settle this and you know what it is! *starts filling the pool with chocolate pudding* >:-)

Ok, this isn't directed at anyone in particular, but how can you have not seen these movies yet be interested in the line? This is like Star Wars. Part of the theme revolves around the plot development of the movie. It would be impossible to accurately MOC the theme without knowing what happens and what to create. Maybe it's just me. Someone tell me I'm crazy here. Won't be the first time :-P

I'm revisiting this thread just to repeat how great the customs are and how much I hope they continue. Please sir, may I have another? :-$ Custom On! *y*

I like it. Sure, it doesn't make a bit of sense from a design perspective. Sure, it's overpriced. Sure, they could have at least included a little base or something for the second guy to do. Sure, I keep starting sentences with sure. I still like it, go figure. I like the fold out blasters. A lot. Not because they're really that special or complicated, but it shows thought that has been lacking at times in the line. I too, will never understand the use of blue when they could use dark bley, with it's bluish tint anyway, but that's just how it seems to go. Wrong as it would be, I'd kill to get them to start using dark blue instead of blue at least. *drools for dark blue* Great review, great pics, boo for making me buy two of this overpriced set, but I know that by the time I pick up some of those new troopers on Bricklink, I might as well just buy the set for treads and such. Expanded Universe! *y*

When Mutant Dinosaurs Attack the College of Engineering
Shadows replied to Hinckley's topic in LEGO Sci-Fi
It's a very nice crew. *y* I'd like to see a competition involving minifigs and I bet you could come up with some great ones. That said, I still prefer this crew: *wub* X-D -
*Spoiler Mode On* It rains. People sing. Everyone dies. *Spoiler Mode Off* >:-)

I love *wub* that stupid little set soooo much! They'd really better issue it here somehow or HEADS WILL ROLL! >:-( Thanks for the great review! I was uncertain from the pics whether the umbrella dome was red or dark red and ... it's dark red! *wub* I love dark red soooo much! They'd really better issue it here etc and blah blah and rolling heads and stuff. >:-( Review On! *y*

An eBay find that just made me laugh too hard
Shadows replied to Shadows's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Of course it's free! *why didn't I think of charging? >:-( * Speaking of which, how much bigger can it get before someone yells at me? I know you have a really big one, but you're a Hyper Admin, so that must be allowed. I know I envied how big yours was when I first arrived (now I'm just padding the joke, it's silly), then I saw Sinner's and thought, "hey, I could do something with that" and the rest is history (that part is true, I liked the way he announced things he was doing and figured I could be helpful to the community similarly). Do you notice how I could have put the word 'sig' in there and made it sound much better, but I left it out and caused an innuendo? That also explains the bad joke ;-) ps. Thanks for the title, it's greatly appreciated and very cool! *hugs *yoda*, but in that most manly of ways X-D * -
Still no red slopes, so I turned the roof black! Vastly underestimated the dark red brick involved in a 3 story building, so now it's a 1 story building :-| I'm still hoping to fancy it up some before I take the crappy pics (I take crappy pics, it's the way it is), and add a small garden shrine or outside bar, can't decide which. At this point, it looks like a Chinese McDonalds. :-D

Picture review of set 7907 City Advent Calendar 2007
Shadows replied to andy_0306uk's topic in LEGO Town
Informative review, thanks! *y* As usual, it makes a fairly good parts pack. Wish I could pick up a few on deep discount, but at full price one is fine. I do like the 'stewards' and some of the workmen. Overall, I think I'm looking more forward to the Belville calendar, just for it's assortment of unusual parts. Ugh. Belville. Still, parts are parts, and it's got some. Phoinix summed up one of the most common complaints I hear about all of the lines in 3 simple words ... "no girls....AGAIN!" Good job, now get LEGO to listen. ;-) -
An eBay find that just made me laugh too hard
Shadows replied to Shadows's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I still haven't figured out how to do 'funny' yet, just ask anyone ;-) Speaking of which, a man walked into a bar and asked for an innuendo, so the bartender gave it to him. :-$ See what I mean? :-| -
Moments later, whacking occured. Only you can prevent walrus whacking, only ... you!

I'm crying now! :'-( :'-) :-D Good timing too, the story is getting a bit ... slow. *claps hands together quickly* Pace people, this isn't a funeral (yet), let's get out there and show some energy! X-D If I start singing show tunes, slap me. X-O

An eBay find that just made me laugh too hard
Shadows replied to Shadows's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
Deep breath now. Ok, let's see here. Der Weinerwhatsit is a drive thru hotdog place out west, despite your imagining that it's a McDonalds. :-P Starbucks *n* *n* *n* Aldar Beedo: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?M=sw006 So nyah! :-P Look at me like I don't know what I'm talking about, will you? HA! ;-) -

Shadows replied to Shadows's topic in Buy, Sell, Trade and Finds
I'm in Florida and we haven't got a single Der Weinerwhatsit to be seen. We don't have Jack in the Box anymore either and those are still around in other places. Yeah, we're loaded with Starbucks, they seem to be taking over all the Barnie's Tea places. *soapbox on* Coffee sucks, tea rules, people are sheep for following the crappy trend. *soapbox off* I dunno where that title came from, though I have my suspicions I wasn't about to comment on it in the titles thread and risk the wrath of *yoda*, so I'm just going about my merry way and spamming up my sig with all of the community events people ask me to include. Works for me :-) I believe that battle droid jar jar is actually part of an Aldar Beedo (wasn't he the parts built partially battle droid partially tan slope and weirdness figure in Watto's Junkyard?) but with a Jar Jar head. I'm not sure it's an improvement. -
SW Ultimate MiniGig Challenge: The Grand Final
Shadows replied to captaintau's topic in LEGO Star Wars
Ended, these clone wars have. *yoda* Thanks for running this captaintau, I got in on it late, but it was a lot of fun. :-) *y* -
Stunning! Spectacular! Epic! I want them all and in large quantities! *wub* We're seeing a monkey with a bazooka now? Hi, I'm Dr. Imperial Shadows and I'm a special kind of talking doctor. Oh, and I have meds. *gives Hinckley his medication* *wacko*

Digging around I came up with this: http://mocpages.com/moc.php/36104 It's quite an impressive gallery *y*

A great find TheBrickster! Thanks for sharing it! Long gone but not forgotten. I've been building up a small pile of both white and red ones without too much difficulty. Most of them have been surprisingly clean looking, though I have a few that will need some effort. I've found that 60's and 70's era ABS is of a higher quality than even the 80's stuff, and way ahead of anything we're getting now.

1. Leaked pictures do indeed rock and cause no harm whatsoever to anyone or anything. Respect the brick, my megabloks! 2. Poor *yoda*. Everyone cracks on the green midget with a baguette. One day I hope to get to do that too, when I'm all growed up. ;-) 3. Anyone who makes a Douglas Adams reference gets an automatic win in my book. *y* Being a more recent member here, it's nice to get these peeks into the founders and key players of EB, thanks for the opportunity! *y*

Welcome SwissY! No worries about your English, it's quite understandable, maybe moreso than some of us native speakers. While you're here, expect to be exposed to all kinds of new and interesting phrases like "whacking." ;-) See you around! :-)

He who laughs last probably didn't get the joke. :-D
