Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 9A
Shadows replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
I say we go where we've never gone before! Back to the hotel, ladies? Er... I mean, northwest! We could find almost anything there, maybe an airport with a plane that's only one big tool short of ready, or a huge marina with a boat that needs a new drive shaft! Brakes will bring the lube! -
Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 8
Shadows replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Well, this town is certainly looking more and more sinister. How interesting that she died in 1979, as I seem to recall that year being significant for some reason, it seems I heard it from the voice in the sky. So, are we splitting up again, half to the farm and half to the train shed, or the switches, or what? We need to get moving, I don't think sticking around this town much longer is a very good idea, though I do feel a bit safer now. *pats pocket with handgun* -
Galactic Paranoia - Discussion Thread
Shadows replied to Jlblue's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
It's referred to again in a later day as well. As for the rest of the joke... you'll just have to keep reading. -
Nothing serious, huh? I'd have to disagree, that's some seriously good stuff there, from the colour scheme through the consistency in design style and progression from one size to the next. The Hobgoblins look a bit too atmospheric for me, but that's the closest thing I have to criticism. I even like the custom torsos and would love to see some more in red/white . Those would be a great way for TLG to relaunch their own return to Classic Space line. Thanks for sharing your work and welcome to EB!

*starts shoveling in the dirt, while laughing maniacally*

You're just trying to get on EB News.

Not like it's the first time ... Ah, memories. I was the first admin added. It came with one and then me. I added you back when you were an editor, if you think back.
-
I do. And Classic-Town. And EB. Me too. Don't say I never did you any favours.
-
We could get started on you. Uh huh. Even when you go back to your normal group (do you have a normal group?), you're keeping those tags for a while.
-
Don't you ever delete anything?

Just seeing his name down there in pink is making it a happy day for me.
-
*whispers* No they can't... I moved you before you had a fit and messed up your diaper.
-
I so saw that coming.

"Waking up: It's a hell of a lot better than not. Usually."™ Yeah yeah, we know, it even has a note attached, but it's more fun to keep it open so we can accidentally ban you one day. For my birthday, they killed me in Galactic Paranoia. Gives me all sorts of ideas for your special day.

*hands little Johnny a crisp $10* Run along now, kid.

That's great. I'd like it more in a brown shade, but I'd be thrilled to find one in a set. Odd though, we've been seeing more of these incomplete fills lately, or maybe people are just mentioning them more. I don't know...

Murder on the Emerald Express: Chapter 8
Shadows replied to WesternOutlaw's topic in LEGO Mafia and Role-Play Games
Will the invading hordes of deranged townsfolk capture the precious cargo, or will the heroic passengers and their pony save the day? Only you can decide with the new "Protecting the Emerald Express"™ Playset from the LEGO Town Collection! Now with flick-fire missiles! EGGO MANIA, EGGO MAAAAANIA! -
Happy Birthday Stutter Strudel Stupid Staudie! Look at that, you're almost old enough to ... well, something, I don't know what. Whatever it is, go out there and do it and enjoy yourself, kid. And yeah, even when you're 30, you'll still be a kid to me. Lock him up! That'll give him a birthday to remember!

And I'll be holding on to this nasty little bit of work, just in case one of you gets nasty as well. I think we can safely clear the mayor now, if he had one of these, it would have been in his office instead. Seems that whoever occupied this office is the head of the "you can't leave town" committee. Things are starting to get somewhere now. -

Hope she's hot, though I am a bit worried. Howard said the mayor stopped the train somehow. I know he's ... creative-minded *cough*, but I sort of believed it was someone in authority, now JC is claiming to have stopped us. Now how, logically, could she have ruined our coal, damaged parts of the train or otherwise stopped us? It seems obvious that someone on the train did that, and if she's trapped here, how would she contact them? I'm feeling an Admiral Ackbar moment coming. Until then, I'd like to check the drawers and compartments of the desk. -
That's traditional for Harry heads. Here is the most common one, notice the placement of the eyebrows.

Commander Blazer (CB) and Admiral Blaire (AB) call a meeting. CB: "Gentlemen, we have successfully intercepted a message from a Black Sun operative to their leader, whoever that is, and this one is more disturbing than the previous." AB: "Clearly, matters are dire. Here is what we have..." ... DON'T SUSPECT A THING ... COMPLETELY MISLED ... LOST ASSASSIN IN STUPID ACCIDENT ... NEED REINFORCEMENTS ... ... AFTER TONIGHT ... BALANCE ... NEARLY SHIFTED ... FOOLS ... NO CLUE ... VOTING ... THINGS LOOK CERTAIN NOW ... CB: "After several minutes, there was a reply, but we managed to block the frequency, so it wasn't received by the operative." AB: "We hope this will buy us some time, but until we can decipher that reply, we won't know what Black Sun is intending." CB: "That is all, get back to it, and pay attention to what has been said. I have a bad feeling about this." AB: "As do I..."

Star Wars has been a winner since it started and has done a good job of presenting aliens, but not nearly enough of them for me. I could name a dozen alien figures I'd love to see. SPIII is a shocker for me, as I'll explain next. I don't know that I'd want to pick over the other, but I would like to take the opportunity to applaud TLG for putting some serious effort into the minifigs of SPIII. I was really pleased to see that it wasn't just another round of oddly assembled blobs or humans in marginal disguises but actual aliens with molded heads and personalities. Agents has been the same way, to me. I wasn't at all sold on either line initially, but they just keep putting out so much original material that I can't pass them up. So in the end, I'm just happy with what we're getting right now from TLG and hope they keep up the great work.

As Grease and Brakes are searching the desk. Grease glances over and says, "you know what this room really needs? A chandelier!"
